I worked security at Atl.Fest from '88-94,and they were some of my best times,i've ever experienced!Besides meeting artists of all sorts,the young people were a true blessing!Especially in '89 when we flooded with rain!They stayed at their posts despite it all!!God bless Chuck Tilley and all!
I was there in '88,....I remember during Mylon LeFevre and Broken Heart's set where they attempted to open with 'Trains Up In The Sky'. They tried twice and each time they tried to play the song, they tripped the stage power breakers. Finally, the event stagehands routed power from Mylon's tour bus to the stage for their equipment. When the lights came back up for a third time, Mylon said that 'god didn't want them to play that song'. I remember like it happened last week and that was 35 years ago. R.I.P. Mylon LeFevre.
@@KK96303 Cool .yes I remember that and when he saved the show for Altar Boys at Mt.Paran No. when it blew and he backed up the bus and plugged in for the sound and just white light.He opend up for Allies there on night too.Great times.
I think I made it to Atlanta Fest in 1987. I have to check. But I know I wanted to go in '88. And there it is-a snippet of it, anyhow. Warped sound, but it kinda gives me an idea of what I would have experienced.
