    The price is pretty reasonable. I love how the "ready to fly" option still requires hours of research and building to actually get it "ready to fly".

      If you wanted a toaster, you should have bought a DJI. If you want a real drone, then be prepared to invest time in learning the hobby. For example, learning basic RC hobby terminology such as "RTF".

    There's no turning back, Ed - seriously. Great choice on all of your gear as well. I look forward to your future "racing/fpv" vids. I think this is going to add a lot of excitement to your life.

    Good video, the only thing I noticed is when I bought my ready to fly the drone receiver was already connected to the drone with the antenna tucked inside and my unit from China came with a better. Just check the details of the unit before adding to your cart to be sure

    So I didn’t do to much research before ordering one of the Wizard X220 rtf kit from Banggood. This is my first actual hobby grade drone and I’d like to know if I’ve just made a big mistake in jumping above my experience level

      Even though that comment was a year ago, you have made a good choice, and you should learn on a simulator. Also i was wondering how your exspirience with the x220 has been going bc I bought one, but it hasn’t come in yet.

    • @milesfox_1717

      Evan Bourgeois I skipped the simulator and jumped right into flight when it came in. I loved the Wizard X220 for the short time I had it. The video signal to my headset wasn’t to good but it still flew perfectly and was a lot of fun

    Also my first almost a year ago. Expect the video antenna and receiver antennas to be the first casualties. The RX antennas are better off mounted out the back.

  • @glytch5

    So this one comes totally programmed to fly out of the box? You don't have to configure all the settings for the remote channels and mess with it in betaflight?

      @EdRickerVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you do have to access Betaflight. Joshua Bardwell has a great video on the Wizard X220 Betaflight setup.

    You have to buy these as parts and put it together or open the box and fly?

    • @EdRickerVlogs
      @EdRickerVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you buy the ready-to-fly version, you'll get the radio controller along with the X220 racer as shown in the video. The props/receiver/battery will be included. However, the Eachine EV800 googles are a separate purchase.
      As for opening the box and flying immediately, no. You'll likely have to go through the steps i went through to get the remote binded with the receiver and securing the receiver antennae.

    i have this question about the buzzer i have 4 of them and i was wandering when you yours does it drain the battery faster cause when i use it seems like it kills half my battery time and it just kills the quad fast and right when the buzzer goes off no time to get it back. i set it a 3.00 but i not sure if that right cause it goes fast.am doing it right cause with out it i have more battery time.

      On Banggood for 169. Sometimes 189, you get controller , quad, charger, battery, transmitter, and extra. All you need is few more batteries and a 4s(4 cell) charger. If you want better transmitter they got that too!

      @@vedatorpeta If you can't connect to Betaflight after plugging in the quad to your computer, try downloading the ImpulseRC Driver Fixer here: impulserc.com/pages/downloads
      Run the driver fixer while the quad is plugged in. Then unplug and replug the quad to the computer with no battery connected.

    I cant find basic videos on youtube that show how to connect this quad to betaflight,(ive watched heaps of them) I plug the usb into the side of quad plug the battery in put usb into pc and try and connect in betaflight but it keeps disconnecting/fails to connect. all the videos on youtube talk about flashing the board but I just want to alter some settings to get acro mode etc onto the 3 position switch and setup a arming switch, not flash and start from scratch

    • @EdRickerVlogs
      @EdRickerVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      For me it's as simple as plugging it in as you've said. The battery doesn't need to be connected in order to connect to your computer. Perhaps you can try a different cable, USB port, or computer?

      try a different cable as said, open beta flight first, then plug in ur quad (no prop;) plug ur battery in if u want to check ur motors and a few other bits. I'm mega new to this so I'm just regurgitating processes I've been through within a few weeks. i just got the 220s, I'm bloody loving this hobby so far. i got myself some star wars on start up and mad flashing led's... i don't even remember how i did that tbh hahaha to much you tube :)

    Can the video signal be sent to a smart phone?

    • @EdRickerVlogs
      @EdRickerVlogs  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe some sort of roundabout way, but not easily. You would definitely have much more latency than when viewed from an analog video viewer.

      Bobos Curse you will need to either add a wifi camera to your drone or add a video receiver to your phone.
      Possibly add a cheap wifi action cam on top
