A very late comment on here, but the fact that Murray State and Kentucky have never played each other and then the committee clearly putting them in the same pod for that potential 1st ever matchup and then to see it not happen is an act of a higher power. I didn’t want them to play each other and I promise a lot of Kentucky households were divided during these games.
I'm so confused how these playoffs go for college basketball. So this the first round of the playoffs? What were those other rounds before this?? Or is this the first round of this part of the playoffs?? Anyone who replies I'm thanking you in advance. Even if you just call me a wideass ho..
Wideass ho 😉 But seriously, around 10 years ago the NCAA suddenly decided to call the play in games the first round and the round of 64 the second round for no good reason, and literally nobody I've seen or know who watches the tournament thinks it makes any sense and just calls the Thursday and Friday games the first round anyway.

The selection committee does this on purpose every year despite more P5 teams than ever getting in, it seriously needs to be investigated.

I hate to see when the mid majors face each other in early games. As someone posted, it is done on purpose. So glad KY lost.
