The Furman upset and FDU ones I remember seeing live. I was so mad Purdue lost, but still was happy for FDU and the Northeast Conference as a whole, that was the first time ever an NEC team got out of the first round. Also I forgot that Gonzaga almost pulled off a similar choke job to 2006 against UCLA, that one would’ve been up there in terms of their blown games. Miami, FAU, and San Diego State all in the Final Four was crazy alongside San Diego State going to the national championship. Definitely one of the greatest tournaments of all time. UConn cemented themselves as blue blood status after winning it all this year, if they weren’t considered one before they most certainly are now.
I was actually at the Kansas - Howard game and it when it was halftime they were playing the Furman game on the jumbotron, the whole place went insane. If you get a chance go to a round of 64 game sometime, its basically a march madness convention
@@fartfruit1157 I live in Indianapolis so I definitely have to go downtown sometime for that, whether it’s regional games or especially the Final Four. I know they tried to make a plan to make that permanent here as an annual thing but it never happened. Looks like for the Final Four here will be in 2026, same year as the next World Cup that’ll happen in the US, Canada, and Mexico
As a MSU basketball fan, if we hit our free throws late in that 16 game against KSU, I think we would have made it to the natty, and the way we were playing, we would have made it a good game against UConn...
There’s a great future ahead of them, same with FAU and Miami. Tobin Anderson coaching Iona now and Rick Pitino for St. John’s will make things very interesting in terms of different teams that could make noise in the tournament. Iona is a somewhat regular tournament presence, but now them having the guy that coached FDU to the second ever 16 over 1 upset will make things interesting. Kansas State I think is bound to make a Final Four eventually as well, at least make it back there for the first time in a very long time.
@@chasebarricklow1154 ya, tbh I was better at soccer but my family couldn't afford rep soccer when I was a kid. I was averaging over a goal a game and looking back on it, I wish I knew about GoFundMe at 10 years old
Arizona has to be the biggest joke every year. They get a high seed and get knocked off in the first or second round. Not they're being picked to make it to the final four again. Fade them all day.
Virginia is the most overrated team in these tournaments… I know they’ve won a title recently but they also have historic embarrassments Arizona a close second
Anything is possible isn't from KG LOL. That sentence has been around for centuries. It's also relevant and true. And yes, Princeton is Princeton, but they were a 15 seed. You gotta lay off on this one.
When Kevin Harlan yells “GOOOOOD” on a shot that happens on your own team, it might hurt the most.
I was there the same day watching the vols game same stadium
So proud of Furman, this is always gonna be one of my favorite memories of sophomore year.

In over 24 years, Gonzaga has beaten UCLA in every match up except the Adam Morrison one. It is too bad your brain is unable to use a search engine.
Ima miss Jim Nantz
For real
Best tournament I’ve ever seen great games and major upsets.
Also a boring tournament because it was just meh and you know an awful natty

Guy on Virginia who just threw the ball in the air def had the worst day of his life
it was a bad play but he panicked. can't blame him
as a uva fan, Clark did that stuff all the time....
I think that new transfer portal rules, Covid year extensions and such have made March Madness so much better
Agree. 2021, 2022, and 2023 are all-time great tournaments.
Kevin Harlan has to do the national championship
Will miss u Jim nance❤️
Furman winning was the best oat. Remember watching it with my friends and I was the only one with furman.
Me too 😂 gotta love March madness. Wish we could fast forward time to this year
I rememer watching all of these in class now and those were the days
thank you Jim Nantz
what a wild tournament
How could they have not put SDSU beating the #1 overall Bama ?>???
maybe they are afraid the Bama murderers will come looking for them.
Brandon Miller will be in there basement
Wasn’t #1 overall Kansas?
@@agilepanda5no it was bama
I was at that game! It was such an amazing experience.
This was most chaotic I think March Madness has been in God Knows how long. I loved it.
One of the best most unpredictable in a couple years for sure
3:32 Coach did NOT trust that milkshake 😂
I picked Furman and watched the final moments with my history teacher. Amazing. 😊
“OOOHHH WE GOT A SITTER”

Everyone remembers the run FAU made but no one remembers how they almost lost to Memphis, that was one heck of an 8 and 9 seed game
I love tobin Anderson
barely put uconn even though they dominated 😭
Cuz they have no buzzer beaters and no upsets lol but that’s good
Mostly because they just pummeled everyone they played
Exactly. They dominated. No intense shots or heartwarming moments. They blew out everyone
2 unskippable 15 seconds ads? No thanks.
Once FDU beat Purdue they were my team and of course they lost the next game
That Kansas state team was fun to watch
Uconn going back to back.

My math teacher had the furman game winner on live
It's a shame that Gonzaga & UCLA could both miss the tournament in 2024
Most anticlimactic ending I swear
No need for the news reporters commentary
What did the Princeton guy say I couldn’t hear him
Kstate shoulda won this thing man :(

Anybody noticed that in his hand while fixing the net🤔🤔🤔??

A team who got there defeat made me feel good. Florida Atlantic 😂
FAU! Picked them to go to EE
