If 10 is the highest rating, I would give this video an 8. Of course, first we watch all the coke-smuggling related clips, but the relationship developement of the central character and his handler with the CIA gets shown here very well. Including the detail of leading in with the question about the handler having a wife and family, which rubbed the handler really the wrong way. This video shows a bend in the path for the both of them.
The Salvadorian army is the toughest in all Latin America and actually is one of the only countries that stayed from start to finish in Iraq as part of the US led invading coalition and were known by US and Spanish troops to be extremely brave, it is no surprise they chose El Salvador as the country that shot down the protagonist of this film.
YES SIR 🇸🇻💪🏻🇺🇸 search up the Salvadoran Rambo. He fought off Iraqi insurgents with a knife. They named a line of knives after him in his honor, Cpl. Samuel Toloza 🇸🇻🇸🇻
I mean, he's a real person, who really did these things, of course he probaly didnt get shot at as much, but he was working for the cartel and later the CIA
The background music at 1:52 is the same as in that scene in The Departed where Leo smashes the glass on the guy's head at the bar after asking for cranberry juice. I recognised it immediately as I have watched that movie so many times.
He was getting something. He wanted "some more money" not "money". He claimed that him having children justified him getting a raise (pretty common for workers to claim and bosses to accept). Its just that Shafer refused. Shafer was hinting at just how inconsequential Barry Seal was to the grand operation, despite everything he just said about how much the CIA liked his work. This is the central message to be learned from Seal's entire life story, that he constantly overestimated how important he was to both the CIA and Escobar, when he was really just a glorified pawn sent to do dirty work for the real players.
He had a net worth of $170 million at his death. He started running drugs to the states from Columbia (Pablo Escobar) via Panama. The proceeds after Escobar's lion share was used to buy guns to send to the anti-communist Contras in Nicaragua. Barry Seal took a cut and his CIA handlers looked the other way. Oliver North got a cut too but that never made the congressional hearings.
Did you hear what Schaffer said ? While Working for the government...... Barry needed money..... Schaffer said--- you'll figure it out... left him no choice.. so, he transported cocaine....
its like his is encouraging him to do those side things. but if CIA gave him high salary he will still want more. let say they gave him 1m/year. do u think he still would do side jobs? i know i will.
That was an unmarked plane contracted by the CIA illegally entering a country's airspace. Plus the mission was for recon of communist rebel operations.
Yes.. But the C.I.A. used the money for all kinds of wars. Wars that don't need any Government approval. The Presidents administration tells the C.I.A. what they want to happen. And Wallah money, drugs, and weapons start moving. As nothing happens unless someone wants it too.. Ask Donal J. Trump how that works. They want you out. They will make sure you are out..
Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?

Telling him to run coke without telling him
That's the type of Boss who thinks a good yearly review is enough for the employee's happiness and motivation
Goose's voice: Come on now, do some of that pilot shit.

this glorifies the CIA subverting the will of the central americans and impoverishing them

“You’re serving your country” yeah that shit don’t pay my bills
Kind of funny how that doesn't work with the Department of Defense, Boeing or Lockheed Martin. "No bucks, no Buck Rogers."
Well if that happened IRL then Seal would have been damn lucky they didn’t have shipments of SA-7s (which didn’t happen until the 80s).
I mean, he's a real person, who really did these things, of course he probaly didnt get shot at as much, but he was working for the cartel and later the CIA
SA7 can't track at those altitudes

Once a number of years go by. Seems like everything enters a free rotation of sorts.
You just can't turn monetization on the videos
This is nothing compared to the videos already on this platform. You just need to know where to look.
Am I the only one who read "Gus Fring" when the subtitles said "Guns firing?"
