African people around the continent have been practicing the act of Ancestral Worship. But the question is where and when did this practice begin? Can it be traced back to its origins? And did African people always practice this? Here is Sphamandla to answer these questions for us.

Yes Indeed! Ancestral Consultation is among False Religion and therefore the origin of Ancestral Consultation can only be trace back to the book of origins (Genesis)
Thank you for this answer my brother, keep on teaching us.

The problem with us is that we don’t read the bible and when in church we don’t ask questions it is a one way street. It is written for all to read in Deuteronomy 12:6 you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices and you tithes and heave offerings of your hand and your vows and your free will offerings and firstlings of your herds and of your flocks.
The very first murder in the bible occurs in the garden of Eden, the fight was over offerings and sacrifice and the irony is Christians love their braais ( burn offering of meat) maybe because God loved the smell of Abel’s meat offering.
Nguni people never worshiped ancestors, ancestors are message conduits to African Deities who are in turn message conduit to the Most High- uMkhulu oMkhulu kubo bonke. Now lamavelakhashane claim that we have a false religion, to your credit you are 100% right. Nguni people don’t follow religion they have African Spirituality that acknowledges powers and gifts of the living given to them by The Most High through our dearly departed Amadlozi namaThongo. Our dearly departed are assisted by our Deities ie Ma, Nomhoyi, Nomkhubulwano, Somandla, Sodumo, Mlenzemunye and Mvelingqangi.
Isn’t it strange to you that you pray to god of Israel ( not the Most High) but you are not allowed to reside in the country inhabited by Israelites now calling themselves Jews to exclude you.

Yeah people deny that it's worship . But then they kneel and pray to ancestors then offer sacrifices. It always puzzled me.

    Babylon, with nimrod

25 December has nothing to do with Jesus' birth, he's birthd date is not documented in the Bible. 25 December is the last day of the birthday celebration of Tammuz son of Nimrod. Beware the deceit and manipulation to lead Christians into idolatry.
The truth is, in the word, let's read our bibles. God is speaking to us. Remember, he said.. my people perish because of lack of knowledge, let's equip ourselves with knowledge through God's word.
Thank you for this insightful massage.

The truth is amomg people who truly understand and have studied the bible and it's origins is that it doesn't have any inherent meaning and it must not be used authoritatively when it comes to having an opinion on other peoples religions and practices, this is equaly creating a false meaning with the text instead of taking the text on its own terms, the bible does not have any opinion regarding bantu practices whatsoever this is very dangerous if we are striving for a more inclusive and cohesive society.

You father Adam? Adam was not your ancestor. You deny your ancestors and accept the false narrative of the people who colonized, brutalized and enslaved our ancestor in Africa and the diaspora. The outcome was children who grew up without knowledge of self. The problem is not that you don't read the Bible it's that you don't read any thing else. You're repeating what you read without questioning or trying to find out if it is true. I can recite every word of Cinderella but that does not make her a real person who was born. Also one does not have to call on the name of Jesus to experience the goodness, peace, joy, and power of the creator of the cosmos.

Building a tower to enter heaven, this is laughable 😀. Ancestral worship is “false religion” what about all the characters in the bible including Jeshua, are they not dead ( ancestors)? Quoting verses from the bible does not make you holier nor negating who you are brings you closer to god. ‘We are all Gods’ cause God lives in all of us.

We believe in God... That is why we never pray to Bible characters.... They were just some objects used by God So that people can get the truth about Him... This is because God works is a logical way, in a way that we can be able to understand. Think of it like this, you already don't believe in Him yet there are eye witnesses who wrote about Him in the Bible, how much more if God just throwed a Bible from heaven to earth and then someone comes and say, well this book comes from God... You wouldn't believe the Bible even more......

@@nosiphocele883 wakithi, the brother is sitting on his brain maybe one day he will realise that. He talks about the the Tower of Babel 1400 yrs bc and believe that, then humans had technology to build a building that could shoot past the atmosphere to the heavens. There is message in this story that he fails to see.The problem with us is that we are lazy to read hence poor understanding of the scriptures. In story the Gods, note plural, are worried that if man speak the same language they won’t be restrained to reach their maximum potential, please read Gen 11 : 6-8. Another message hidden in there is that there is more than one God. Jesus gives a hint on the Sermon on the mount when he said it is written that you are gods John 10:34, please then go read where Jesus took that scripture, it’s on Psalm 82: 1-6. You will see that God of Israel was not the only god, hence this, “you shall not have another god besides me”. Our Pastors are messing things up, they rush to push people into converting to Christianity, they don’t fully understand what is at play here. Read the bible not glance over popular verses and you will understand that God of Israel, God of Abraham , God of David as they are listed in Matt 1:2-16 are not related to us.

@@nosiphocele883 help me understand, are you talking about God who created the entire universe including our home, planet Earth and everything contained inside including you and I. Are you saying The almighty who has all the power imaginable will struggle to communicate with us directly if he so chooses? I find that absurd, the Most High is not weak, stupid, stutters, can’t write, struggles to speak or powerless. None in this Cosmos is mightier than the Most High, The supreme creator is able to defend himself he does not need soldiers.
No one will be given special treatment by God, going to church or preaching the word will not push you ahead and grant you a special permit. It is about what you do.
It is easy to believe in Christ or God anyone can do that but to LIVE THE LIFE OF CHRIST IS DIFFERENT. Jesus said, if you love me keep my teachings and commandments. The question is how many commandments do you keep and do you follow all Jesus teachings without exception? According to the Christian faith, if you breaks Jesus’s teachings you are going to hell even if you accept that Christ died for your sins.
The true creator, the Most High Loves us regardless cause we are all his offsprings and he is not a Christian. Christianity and all other religions were invented by man. The father of Christianity is Apostle Paul. Paul never met Jesus, he claimed that Jesus visited him in a vision. Please read the the Holy Book from cover to cover, you will only then understand for yourself who really God is. Much Love and take care.

@@dumitshabs8719 most of what you said is true except the part about going to hell for breaking rules. The Bible says we all fall short of the glory it’s those that die before they repent that go to hell. And also you need to remember that grace plays a fact in a Christian’s life, God who knows you in and out is not gonna throw you away because you have fallen away in a season of rebellion he will keep pursuing until you either repent or die that’s the only time you as another human being can say that person went to hell for disobeying. God understands us more we understand ourselves many of the books in scripture proves that even after turning away from God you still have the grace to get it right, you are still not condemned.

@@MichelleKuuu thank you for taking time to read what I wrote a while ago. I must first make it known to you that I do believe that The Most High not the God of Israel created the heavens, all planetary bodies including Earth and everything inside it. In my search for the true God i discovered that the bible talks about a number of Gods who were in competition for land, its occupants and resources. The God of Israel is Jahwe , God of Egypt is Amun, God of Canaanites is Baal, God of Moabs is Chemosh, and many others. All these gods bar Jahwe are referred to as Idols, to trick the bible challenged worshipers.
The problem with Christianity is that it is fluid, ask anyone why they believe, answers will vary depending where they worship. First it was to avoid hell fire, then it moved to Jesus is God now it is Gods Grace. God’s Grace is the latest fad used by the evangelist to draw worshipers to church so that they can enrich themselves through tithings. This is a transactional relationship……..worship me I will bless you with earthly riches and ensure that I reserve a place for you in heaven.
On Jesus, elevating Jesus to God in the flesh defies simple logic. Jesus himself does say “ I am the root and offspring of David “ Rev 22: 16 and he repeatedly says he is the son of man on all four gospels. He also says “ My teaching is not my own, it comes from the one who sent me” John 7:16 and 28.
