  • Honoring Ancestors, a great discussion w/ Gogo Thule, born in West Africa raised in the U.S. Her journey- to become an initiated shamanic priestess; spiritual healing with ancestors. Her website: www.sacredliberation.com
GODDESS MANIFESTATION ONLINE PROGRAM: ****Now enrolling: intheflowofmag...
Historically ancestor worship was common worldwide from Asia, Africa and South America. Calling on ancestors for help was common and everyday religious practice. The advent of the major religions has suppressed these original & authentic shamanic spiritual traditions and pushed them into the shadows in many parts of the world.
Gogo guides us on trusting our intuition while building a deeper connection to our ancestors, within her background of being an initiated African priestess. We discuss the need for this ancestor connection via worship for people from all backgrounds as a way to begin to bring sanity back to our relationship with all life and all beings.
BEGINNING to WORK With ANCESTORS (A Shamanistic Perspective) • BEGINNING to WORK With... My take on how we have ancestors from across the globe and as such we can connect with the healers, priests/esses and so on from many lineages-even if we don't appear to have connection there.

It was such a pleasure, I cut it in 2 so we'll get to altars in part two- rather than 1 forty min. video!

I am a big believer in ancestral connection in my spiritual practice. I have a deep emotional connection to and current lifetime ties to my ancestors. I come from the Appalachian foothills and come from a long line of pure true Appalachian folk musicians and grew up listening to and playing the music of my ancestors. I couldn’t do any of my spiritual practice without my ancestors behind me because they are such an integral part of my life and practice and self.

oh that is so beautiful, so is your background Scotch/ Irish or... I'm curious?

Yoga Bliss Dance heavily Irish(: there are a few other things thrown in but my majority is Irish from the Appalachian foothills I grew up playing mountain music in my family band, doing bluegrass festivals near the appalachians and in the ozarks and I just have a really strong bond with my ancestors and roots so I think that helps me so much spiritually. Anytime I’m not feeling super grounded my ancestors always bring me back down to earth. I’m just really lucky to know where I come from and have living as well as passed on ties to the people and the places and the culture.

Greetings. Just connected with this video. I've learnt from youall. As an elder I so appreciate the younger who I constantly learn from. Also in my Śab'aean culture we've learnt that our Ancestors need our help as much as we need theirs.

Thank you for this gift, Vivinne and Gogo! I appreciate hearing the significance of acknowledging all aspects of our lineage, as we do aspects of nature. There are messages for us in all parts of our divine composition. I’d love to hear more about working with the messages in our Akashic records, as Gogo briefly mentioned. I’m looking forward to the second half of the interview. Thanks, again. Asé!

I resonate so much... my ancestors initiate me in the ancestral realm to prepare for my Shamanic path. I also have shaman come forth of South American Indigenous decent in a dream so I am prepared to visit Ecuador through my metaphysical university. I disagree with the person who said that YBD to you, that person needs healing. I had various ancestors came through of different racial hertiages who are assigned and trained to help me on my mission here on the earth realm.

I KNOW if you work shamanically you may go back centuries- just in the U.S. there is such a tight rules around "race," and it can limit the mind from exploration. I'm now looking at Kamilla Harris who like many POC from Carribean- has both South East Asian and African heritage- why should she deny either. The Irish ancestor that came to me was prior to American/British history of enslavement of Africans...as my teacher instructed-we work with the ancestors that have wholesome qualities- whether as healers/shamans/medicine wo/men etc..., some folks minds are just closed. Great good luck with your studies!

You two are amazing. I am so pleased to have come across your pages! In the next conversation, can y'all touch on breaking through the fear of being guided by negative spirits? Fear of not knowing what spirits I will evoke is hindering me from beginning my ancestral work.

    • @YogaBlissDance
      @YogaBlissDance  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Very good question and yes I know that holds especially a lot of sisters back and some religions put that fear in us from a very early age. Watch for part 2 and I'll ask her perhaps to have her back to answer or here in comments- let me see what I can do...
Honestly I think it's a matter of studying more, learning more. In the incident I mention that my teacher gave of why not online- it was actually an in person workshop- and what happened to the guy was that a relative who had committed suicide showed up- and that unnerved the guys so much he was like "I"m out!"

Peace Amadia, I spoke about this briefly on instagram and reposted the message here: th-cam.com/video/2MCn0CkU-oA/w-d-xo.html
As Viv expressed it requires more inquiry, study, and introspection. Ultimately, we fear ourselves as everything is a reflection of self. It requires a willing to step into the unknown and all of life is asking this of us. Shadow work helps and learning about spiritual protection gives us the tools to slowly open portals consciously.

I have had a strong pull to switch my peruvian shamanic practice and learning to focus more towards my African heritage. This feeling has only intensified over the years and now I feel I am being pulled back to Africa but I have no Idea where to go. If you can point me in the direction of someone who can assist me with connecting to what is calling me and where to go, I would really appreciate it.

I've had her do a reading where honestly she got something KEY that no one else ever got that was holding me back. If you see her tell her I sent you!
Also I did the genetic test and found I'm mostly Nigerian (on Mom's side...) other things have come shamanically- literally use your skills to call on ancestors for specific things and see what info you get.

Not sure if I can handle the responsibility of what I learned from this video. More than forty years ago my deceased father held my hand as he presented me to his mother and father on the other side. His mother extended her hand to me while his father was passive. Behind them stood many, many rows of unidentified cloak covered figures. I remember the feeling of love and connection. I wanted to stay with them. I woke up crying and feeling lonely.

Jesus loves you and wants to have a relationship with everyone. Trust the Word of God, believe that it’s true and repent from your sins. Jesus hates the sin not the sinner. John 3 : 16 - For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

@@YogaBlissDanceit doesn’t matter. Just because you’re doing it doesn’t mean it’s right. Jesus came back to abolish JUST what you’re saying. Get a grip. Ancestors are dead. That’s it. They can’t do nothing for you.
