    Been using my Nlite 24k pole for about 10 days now & it's a fantastic pole . I was apprehensive about how comfortable it might be to use but find the shape of pole perfect, feels really comfy. The powerbrush is excellent, though the inbuilt pencil jets are total pants ! Ordered the 8.6m one now as well , with the added sections.

    Ash if you had to buy a 22 foot pole as an everyday would it be this Unger or Gardiner Xtreme or Phantom or Ova 8 (high mod edtions) ? Cheers mate

      After trying everything out there, all things considered, I would go for a Gardiner SLX or Phantom, with Gardiner accessories.

    Lots of people are talking about the flexibility of the pole, seems more then the original carbon nLite that I have, may just be the camera angle. But 3 floors heigh, I'm not getting that kind of wip.
    Perhaps the HiMod would be better, also, doesn't the top rinse bar, rinse to heigh above the frames, and bring dirt down.
    Pole looks really good, but like the original nLit, may not be the best in practability for doing the job it was designed for.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It definitely doesn’t feel whippy. The brush has a bit of weight so I don’t think that helps.

  • @ched999uk
    @ched999uk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I do like the ability to switch between fixed and swivel so quick, great idea. Does look a bit more flexi than an SLX but maybe it was higher?

      For these 3rd and 4th storey I think a hi mod would be great.😃👍🏼

    When you’re rinsing, do you rinse the frames down aswell as the glass after scrubbing or do you rinse from the rubber seal and downwards?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rinse from the frame just above the seal, but don’t get the area above the window frame wet.

    Hi Ashley. What is your go to pole?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have different poles I like for different situations to be honest. I’ve got certain days work where I love the nLite and it helps me get through the day more quickly, but in other places I find it can be awkward. Gardiner poles have the most accessories.👍🏼

  • @GarryMills
    @GarryMills 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Wow, that's a wobbly pole!

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t forget that a couple of these examples are third storey windows, any carbon pole would flex a bit at that height, especially reaching out to the side. Maybe it’s the camera angle too, but I would say that this pole is pretty similar in flex to the SLX.😃👍🏼

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bristles are awesome, right up there with the Xline. I like the rinse bar combo as well, but the whole thing is a little heavy with all the features and accessories added.👍🏼

  • @JasonDunlop247
    @JasonDunlop247 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ashley i dont know if you have used the 8.6m 6 section Carbon 24k ? What is it like for all day use? Also, is it possible to remove a couple of sections if not needed?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can’t remove the sections at all, it’s all fixed together. There isn’t much versatility in the tool, it’s only compatible with Unger accessories, which aren’t that great really.😬👎🏼

  • @JasonDunlop247
    @JasonDunlop247 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It looks a really attractive looking pole (That does not sound right i know!) However it also looks thick, clunky & incredibly whippy!

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a chunky pole, but those are pretty high windows so there is bound to be a bit of flex from a carbon pole at that height. I would actually say it’s pretty rigid, similar to an SLX.😃👍🏼

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. A Gardiner pole would be good for you, 25/30ft, with a flocked bristle brush for fascias. You will just have to get the right hose connector or an adapter if you want it to fit a garden hose.😃👍🏼

    Lots of comments about the rigidity of the pole Ashley, and that's without the extensions on it! Is there a lot of whip on it?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it’s partly the camera angles. I think it’s actually pretty rigid for a carbon pole. A couple of the examples in the video are third storey. Any carbon pole would flex a bit at that height, especially when reaching out to the side. I would say it’s pretty similar to an SLX. I would like to try the hi-mod version of this though.😃👍🏼

    • @aemackintosh

      I find it more rigid than the Ova8 but heavier. Similar in flex to the SLX.😃👍🏼

  • @MrFixItDK
    @MrFixItDK 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The design with the clip on top of the gooseneck to hold the hose back is old-school. The new gooseneck design is rigid inside and doesn't need a clip.

    • @aemackintosh

      Do you mean the rinse? The whole window needs a good scrub, then the dirt should be rinsed away with the pure water.👍🏼
