@@32tfs Thanks dude. We kept crashing ours. Some say it's the night-vision helmets that can't tell up from down, some say that it's just "too complicated" a machine. New Zealand says theirs work fine & we just try to modify ours so much that the poor helicopter itself doesn't know up from down. My personal theory is the the U.S. Military Industrial Complex never approved of us buying European helicopters, made sure they'd never work reliably & pressured the Government to scrap them early in favour of more Blackhawks. Once that was announced, what took years to build took just days to disassemble, as if they couldn't do it fast enough. Ukraine tried but couldn't even ask to have them fast enough. Such a waste.
I also think that the helicopter has become complex because countries often had their own wishes in terms of specifications. What worked well for one country may not necessarily work well for another country due to various special upgrade requirements. I feel honored to say the least. After Airforce 2(?) the bespoke helicopter of the US President got caught on camera doubling as its own trolly dolly. I saw it, copied the relevant sequence and posted it on X. What we have here is the merciless response. I have no doubt, all those flying objects were christianed "NH90", one of the top runners for unisex first name of the year. What really freaks me out though are the tail wing and propeller. I mean, asymmetrical space technology meets the mistery of US patented spinning objects doing so very fast airborne just so and no drive train or turbine needed. Magic. The US were. Now they are mad.
