[4K] 2nd Wave "Market Garden 80 years" Memorial Flight - Eindhoven Air Base 2024

- With my camera in hand, I visited Eindhoven Air Base.
On September 21, Operation Market Garden was commemorated 80 years ago. From Eindhoven air base, a large number of different military transport aircraft with paratroopers flew to the Ginkelse Heide near Ede for the commemorative drops.
For me it was the first time that I visited this spot at runway 03 and was able to capture this beautiful "elephant walk".

Onvoorstelbaar!!!... Wat imposant zeg!!. Bijzonder gaaf, en tnx voor dit filmje!! Ik heb de C130 vroeger wel van Deelen zien starten en landen, maar dat waren er hooguit(!!) een stuk of 3 of 4... Mooi om te zien de diverse landen die hieraan deel namen. Heel mooj!!
Heel indrukwekkend!
Hier in Renkum kwamen 2 van die vliegtuigen enorm laag over als afsluiting van de droppings. Ik denk op nog geen 50 meter hoogte.

Fantastisch, het hele gezelschap vloog die zaterdag over Utrecht richting Ginkelse Heide en maakte over Utrecht Noord Oost, waar ik woonachtig ben, een pracht van een linkerbocht. De enige, ietwat korte, airshow dit jaar in Nederland
Ja hier moeten we het even van hebben tegenwoordig in Nederland helaas.

Awesome event,if you are visiting try the hartenstein hotel,now a museum,with most of it underground well worth a look in regards to market garden.

Heel mooi om te zien, ik stond op de Ginkelse heide en daar was het een pracht show met de parachutisten en later kwamen alle vliegtuigen nog eens laag over. Prachtig om te zien en mee te maken.

Funny to suddenly realise that it is Germany who is the most trustworthy and valuable ally in this line up. Never threatened to leave or actually abandon either NATO or the EU. Who would have thought it 80 years ago. (I am mostly looking at you UK and US 😂😂)

Yet most value both the UK and US commitments in terms of militarily support more than German commitments because people don't trust Germany to show up and the other two countries have shown they'll actually turn up when needed.
