I love this amp!!! I had the head in 2020, and now the combo is my main stage amp since 6 months, 30 sets of 2 hours, a banger, love it, boosted by a Fulltone ocd v2 🤟
I have the same Gibson USA 61 Sg Reissue in Heritage Cherry, and also have the same Studio Vintage Marshall Amphead, this is like a mini Marshall 1959 SLP Plexi Amphead. I love the guitar and the Amp. You should hear that Amp through Greenback Speakers. Imho, UK Made Celestion Greenback Speakers make Plexi and Modded Plexi Amps sound the Best. You should try it out. I think the Greenback Speakers give Plexi and Modded Plexi Amps the best tone. Great episode Pete. Thanks. ❤🥰
The SVH 20 sounds great! If I played out I would consider one, but to keep peace on the home front I'll have to stick with my Friedman Runt w/Master Volume. Love the simplicity of the setup! Also love the SoloDallas pedals, great choice (and you described it perfectly!).
Enjoyed learning about your Marshall SVH 20, Pete. It's a fine set up. Also, the slant cabinet and uncluttered pedal set up (especially The Guv'nor) is nice. Versatile for any venue.
I've owned 150 amps in my lifetime and Marshall Studio Vintage 20 has proven to be one of the best amps I've ever owned in terms of bang for buck. It just sounds fantastic the more you crank it. Loud as hell yes, attenuator is recommended. Do yourself a favor Pete and try a Wampler Tumnus or any good klon clone in front of that plexi...it will blow your socks off.
Thank you for pointing out that this amp gets mislabeled as not being loud. If you turn it up like you’re supposed to with a Marshall, that amp is still insanely loud.
Have that Marshall SVH 20 H, it's my amp till the end. Using Boss DD3 in the loop, and Boss blues driver on the front, and that's it. Best amplifier I own EVER!!!
cool! have the combo and I love it ...play it also with a attenuator and when I play the SG or LP I love the schaffer replica in front😊 since I put classic 57' pu's in my SG the guitar cleans up very well if you roll back the volume 😊
I think it's too loud at any setting when playing at home without using the attenuator. I'm using the Two Notes Torpedo Captor 8 ohm. Bought mine at Sweetwater sweetwater.sjv.io/k0WXKd. Also found it on Amazon amzn.to/40kExrq
When I was younger I bought a 200 watt Marshall combo amp that came in a stage case because "more wattage = better". Now I have 3 amps: 3 watt, 5w and 10 watt. I really want a Marshall now, 20 watt range would be perfect. Makes me sick to think about all the great gear I had and got rid of over the years :\

G'day Pete, I have heard a lot of great things about these amps. Your playing dude! You are such a great player. Very spot on.
Thank you!
Thx Pete, you are the man! Haven't been this excited to try/buy an amp in a long time! You are an inspiration! ❤
Thanks. I love this amp. Go try it out, and I'm sure you will too. I bought mine at Sweetwater about two years ago. sweetwater.sjv.io/3PV9Ry
The amp sounded fuller and better without the gov'nor pedal, good demo Pete

You’re the man Pete! Love your playing

Yes, that's why I have the attenuator... haven't had complaints from the neighbors yet! SoloDallas makes awesome pedals. Great people too.

Thanks and yes, I like a simple set up that works almost anywhere

Great video. I just bought this amp and I LOVE IT!!! It’s perfect for me. Subscribed….
It's a great amp! 🎸
On a Marshall you put everything on 10, then back things down to suit. And I yes, I keep wanting bigger amps but my 20 watt will seriously jam.
awesome tone man
Great Tone and fingers 🫵🏻
🎸🤘🏻

Great stuff Pete ! New subscriber , I look forward to your work.
Thanks! 🎸
That amp sounds amazing

Great set up!
You should try a vintage modern
5⭐️ Amp. Run mine through Fryette PS2 , 4x12 1960 bx.
How loud through vertical cab at the 5-watt setting? Is it bedroom level or still too loud?
I think it's too loud at any setting when playing at home without using the attenuator. I'm using the Two Notes Torpedo Captor 8 ohm. Bought mine at Sweetwater sweetwater.sjv.io/k0WXKd. Also found it on Amazon amzn.to/40kExrq
Try the Friedman Pink Taco V2 . Hot Rod Plexi with a master volume that you can jam at bedroom levels . Instant 70-80s Rock
Thanks, I'll check it out
For a great Classic Rock sound, jump the channels, put all the controls at noon and hit it with a Les Paul.

I had a Marshall combo a few years ago that I sold. Love this stack. Always great to try out amps!
Peter, have you ever POP an amplifier??? What happened when it happened??
I blew a Blackstar St. James last summer... maxed out the volume. Nothing much happened, just stopped playing
Nice amp man! You're lucky
What pickups are in the guitar?
57 Classics
Totally dont need the guvnor, sounded better without it. Its already heavily overdriven even though you say its not. Lol
They don't make rockers like they used to
