    Thank you brother!!! Dealer pissed me off and stated I was not capable of working on my own 2013 x5 xdrive 50i.......Just need to reset code on brake fluid since I am old school and feel it is fine. Saved me $$$. Stay blessed and keep them videos coming.

    Thanks so much for these vids. As a fairly new owner of an older X5 35d & guy that likes to do as much of his own maint as possible, your vids have made my life much easier.

    Thanks a lot for this video. Went to Canadian Tire and bought a liter of DOT 4 brake fluid and some 1/4in clear tubing. Made myself a little reservoir from a used water bottle (Learned that on Chris Fix channel) and essentially did the job for under $25 CAD. Very easy to do. Especially if since I needed to take the wheels off to change the tires.

    Big thanks! We “inherited” a 2012 X5 and it’s shocking to see how many people submit to the dealerships for unnecessary work or simple stuff like this.

    I agree. When my mechanic did my brakes, I told him to look at the brake fluid. He looked and said it is clean. So I agree that every two years is not super necessary.

    Thank you very much for such a clear and open minded way to approach the situation with do it yourself opposed to going to the dealer with simple issue like changing fluids and then resetting service indicators yourself
    My question is though do you have any solutions to what to do with the seat restraint fault code passinger side ..in the bmw x5 3.0 2007

    Thanks so much for this. I have a 2013 X5 50i. I have another question maybe you could help me with...We we’re having trouble with the rear air ride suspension so we replaced the bags with springs. Works great! However, the system still thinks there is a problem with air ride and is throwing the level control malfunction message up. Is there a way to reset the light or discard it??

    I like your videos, since I bought a used X5 2010 BMW, I learned a lot from them, but I big favor, would like you add a video in how to test for parasite battery drawn, since I started having a light of a battery discharged, thanks for this channel, and hello from Salt Lake City, Utah.

    • @ECPP
      @ECPP  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your kind words. I was in Salt Lake this past summer and funny thing all of a sudden I could not physically get the fuel nozzle into the car. The interlock held it up. Looked more closely and then had to push the mechanical interlocks out of the way as i inserted the fuel pump nozzle. Problem solved. Back on the highway at 65 mph. Cheers.

    Hi, great video with lots of really useful information. I have a question for you though... My 2009 X5 has an intermittent problem with starting, in that when I put the key in the slot all the relevant dash lights come on but when I press the brake and then push the start button, nothing happens. It's the same with both keys.
    Please help...

    Good, well explained process. Thank you. Further to this, how do you reset the E70 brake wear distance to run after pads and rotor changes on the front? I changed mine a little early (warped rotors, steering shimmy) and still had about 1000 km to go on the pads. Still indicates that after the parts were replaced.
    Edit. Fixed! I wasn't holding the reset long enough.
