I keep my Cruziohyla sylviae in much larger enclosures. I also use Andy Gray's method of hygienic vivarium configuration. Those frogs get big (as you know) and need pristine conditions, as your mortality rate indicates. Your exoterra is about the amount of space I use for one frog. If I were to keep them in a bioactive enclosure, it would be twice again the size- so around 60-70 gallons Per Frog. Such amazing animals require amazing husbandry. Yours's look beautiful. Give them an upgrade.
Where can I find info on the hygienic method of keeping? I also imported 2 groups in late 2019 and only had 3 survivors in a simple bioactive tank. Nearly a year later one male just dropped dead so now I only have what appears to be a pair. I am considering pulling them to a much simpler setup with maybe just one plant in a pot and a water bowl to avoid any more attrition!
@@valeriefont8746 Look up Andrew Greys videos on TH-cam. Cruziohyla calcarifer, Manchester are keywords that should being them up. He's the scientist who reorganized the Cruziohyla genus a couple years ago. He's also head herp curator at Manchester Museum in England.

Babies CB from a breeding farm in peru, then quarantined in the US before shipping again to permanent home; about $400 US plus shipping
Those frogs are so cool! I was worried about the monsoon vs the mist king system (although you can’t find these cages at all right now). Does it seem like you could force the mist king nozzles and tubing into the monsoons place? Or just a no go?
The tubing would be fine but the nozzle would be difficult to mount. I'm thinking of modifying one (just drilling holes in the plastic) for the mistking nozzle.

@@MikeTytula I just tried moving it around a bit and found that if the cage was more crooked, the door was much harder to open.

As far as I know nothing is really fruit fly escape proof, but these do hold flies fairly well.

DEpends how you make the water feature, but it should be okay. And the misting schedule should be based on the parameters of your tank.

Leap habitats makes some fairly sleek and thin hoods for several different bulbs.
