Happy New Year, in advance, TFL. Long time watcher at 10+ years. One of my faves on TH-cam. Love all of the personalities, including the new ladies (spoonful of sugar). Their Silverado EV and Bishop Castle (+goats) videos were great - love the mix of old and new perspectives, and, as I'm relatively local to TFL (Colorado Springs), I love seeing the local sights. Thanks for the FIAT 500e video. I actually picked one up, myself, down here hours after watching down here in the Springs. Test drove one at 6:00 PM and was out the door in a couple of hours. Pretty much just paid taxes, like Tommy. It may have also helped that it was end-of-business on a Saturday night, tho. Roman was wondering about fuel cell car technology in cars. Launching in 2025 Extreme E will evolve into Extreme H, the world's first Hydrogen powered racing series. In Extreme E, they used hydrogen fuel cells as electric generators to recharge the electric race cars in remote locations. Now, the new hydrogen race cars will have a new design based on everything they learned from the Extreme E off-road racing series. The various car manufacturers have been building prototype hydrogen cars for years but to me its a publicity stunt because you can't go to any gas station and buy hydrogen. Racing has always been the way to torture test new technology to work out the flaws before mass production. One of my favorite new car designs is the Hyundai N Vision 74 because it looks like a modern version of the DeLorean.

Just like with commission sales and tips, it’s all about perceived value. If you can’t provide enough perceived value, you will not receive much profit. The hardest part is that perception is a fickle thing that can change from person to person and day to day, so trying to nail it and get the right audience to see that you nailed it takes tremendous skill combined with really good luck. The most profitable TH-camrs are those best at social engineering for a reason.

You require full comprehensive coverage on any new car finance as well. Can't compare an old used car as you get to choose to gamble on the value of the vehicle. If you fully paid out a new car you can(foolishly) choose to not have comprehensive coverage. Welcome to new car life!
Not for the owner, it goes directly to the dealership; none of the paperwork shows the buyer getting any value from it, just N/A’s on all the forms listing the sell price.
@Tommy Mica @Roman Mica Concerning the BMW Touring wagon: to Tommy's credit, yeah, it's not BMW greatest work compared to pre-Bangle cars. However, Roman's right; it's not that bad, it's way better than the beaver-teeth previous look, and IMHO, still better than the blobby, 2-weeks-old-melted-bar-of-soap-from-the-shower designs that Mercedes keep putting out!
Ridiculous. I made one call and found insurance for half what he’s quoting. Insurance has to be UNDERSTOOD. insurance isn’t more because the car is LEASED. that has NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
My 31 mile commute, 4 days a week, with 7 weeks off per year... is still over 10k miles per year. It's an electric car, people with longer commutes should be the target for these kind of deals. Isn't the end goal "less air pollution"? Oh well, guess I better go schedule that oil change on my RAM 2500 diesel that I do not car pool with. JK 😊
The gov’t, both state and federal, give them money for providing the EV’s so the actual amount they get is around $10k a year with gov’t incentives. It’s just paid for by taxpayers, not the EV owners.
Sadly, the inter webs will always have people that complain when there is change - good change, bad, indifferent, from need or situation. What I have said "back in my day" (fud speak for a long time now!) if you don’t like it, just change the channel!
Parenting done right, Roman. Tommy covers everything that needs to be covered. Viewers don’t care about $100,000 truck drag races, and viewers don’t care about glowing reviews that kiss the butt’s of Toyota designers or GM executives so that they can get the jump on other journalists for reviews. The two of you make a great team because of Tommy‘s pragmatism and Roman‘s passion, and we need to have Roman’s politics and his red ass because things are really that bad in the real world. Well done boys…
Youre getting robbed on insurance tommy. Or its because youre young. I went on progressives website for my age and zip code a brand new leased fiat 500e is 473$ for six months. But i do also insure a motorcycle with them so i get a discount but thats not gonna make up that huge difference.
The Chinese vehicles in Europe are cheap because the Chinese government subsidies them for export. They are not particularly well reviewed and it seems that the people who buys them are A to B people with no interest in vehicles whatsoever. Few people know that MG is Chinese now.
Have you ever filled your car with ethanol? You know gas that made with a small portion of corn. About 98 percent of gasoline in the US includes it. Guess who paid for that?
@TFLtalk yup, I am also not a fan of any government subsidies. If I want to drive my truck, I have to buy gasoline. I have no control over what additives are in it. When I have an opportunity to buy pure gasoline not oxygenated with ethanol, I 100% of the time do. I have only seen this kind of gasoline in Utah though.
@@1FiftyOverland I think subsidies for those who are disadvantaged or vulnerable are really important for a well functioning society that is so easy on those who are already very wealthy and easily prey on the poorest. Subsidies for the most wealthy as well as corporations are garbage for sure.
@davidwalker72 I don't. It creates class of people dependent on the government to survive. I'd like to see every American going extremely well, the fruitsbof their labor.
No, sorry but new cars should pay more in plates. The people who are holding onto these older cars are low income families and folks who can’t afford a new vehicle. Aboustely no reason that someone should who needs a plate for their ‘99 Honda Civic should pay the same as some someone who just bought a new M3.
Yup, and people in houses should have higher income tax. Absolutely no reason why someone who is stuck in a crappy apartment and doesn’t have a house should pay the same income tax.
What happens when you run out of lease miles?!? Maybe read your contract, and undeestand what your getting into. 10k is terrible, this was definitely aimed at students in the city.
10k is plenty for a commuter; Tommy has plenty of other vehicles to use. I own so many vehicles (I like variety and swapping between luxury cars, super cars, and high tech vehicles) that I barely put 2k miles a year on any one and need to pay others to keep them all in good running condition. Of course, I wouldn’t get a 500e as the cheapest in my collection is worth over $100k, but it is easy to keep the miles down when you have multiple vehicles.
@Cloud30000 I have 5 vehicles, some super duper rare😂because that's important right.. But combined I do 30-60k a year I would advice you to drive more, it's fun

JK 😊
40x12x10 is $4,800. How is the car worth 40k if in 10 years they get less than 5
The gov’t, both state and federal, give them money for providing the EV’s so the actual amount they get is around $10k a year with gov’t incentives.
It’s just paid for by taxpayers, not the EV owners.
In Canada even fiat 500e is not cheap 🤣🤣🤣
Where is Nathan?
He lives in commiefornia.
I would buy the bmw 5 touring if all electric..
Tommy has absolutely no interest in his dad’s complaints 😂
the vw engineer who put haptic controls in all of vw cars should be fired!!!
Free lease might be going away next year
It is because the CO incentive gets slashed Jan 1st. That free deal ends Dec 31st and I believe they are sold out
I think the buzz looks cool but too pricey and looks like a pig that walked into a wall
M.A.H.A .. Make America Hemi Again!!
You should mention the electrical 240volt breaker and wires needed for the charger
240v is not needed. 30 miles in winter conditions are easily doable in Minnesota with a regular 120v outlet
I would never get a vehicle that the public is forced to pay for.
Have you ever filled your car with ethanol? You know gas that made with a small portion of corn. About 98 percent of gasoline in the US includes it. Guess who paid for that?
@@TFLtalkexcellent reply! People only like to see half of the picture.
I believe Minnesota does this. Old cars are way cheaper to register if i remember right.
@@zachlafond2652 Indiana does.

I’m not going to say anything negative about the new female staff members but I’m strictly not watching any content containing them.
1st here
What happens when you run out of lease miles?!?
Maybe read your contract, and undeestand what your getting into.
10k is terrible, this was definitely aimed at students in the city.
Park the car and return it when the lease is over
10k is plenty for a commuter; Tommy has plenty of other vehicles to use.
@Cloud30000lol sure you do flex 😂
@Cloud30000 I have 5 vehicles, some super duper rare😂because that's important right..
But combined I do 30-60k a year
I would advice you to drive more, it's fun
@@Rafegaretobviously 😂 it's just hilarious nobody reads the contract
Leases are also specific to the situation. Depends on how the lease is written. The reason you pay for overage miles is to cover excess depreciation compared to the rate calculated. As an example, instead of 10k/yr at $100/mo, you might have been able to do $125/mo for 12500 miles per year.
Americans know NOTHING about money. Cars. Homes. Credit. It’s terrible. But no one wants to ask questions. Like Roman they just bitch about having to have a degree. It’s a simple google search and some time. The world doesn’t owe you shit. Dyor or stay home.
