Here's why I'm interested in FORScan. I have an 18 XLT FX4 Screw with the Coyote, and the tow package. Ford didn't offer the Max tow package with the Coyote until 2021. What this apparently means is that while my truck came with came with the 3.73's (and as a result a 9.75" rearend) a 36 gallon gas tank, the beefier front anti-sway bar, I pretty sure the transmission cooler, trailer backup knob and hill decent Ford for some reason left off the OEM trailer brake controller.
The good news is that where it goes in the dash is used as a cubby hole with the connector on the back of it in the harness so you can buy the brake controller for about $150, install it in the dash, and use FORScan to activate it.... Or you can take it to a Ford dealer and pay them to turn it on for you.
Same. I got the '17, 5.0, 3.73, Trailer Tow, but no trailer brake controller. I wonder why they'd put a "trailer tow package" without a brake 😆. Seems like the one thing that WOULD come with that package but what do I know...

Is there a mod to add the outdoor temperature to the instrument cluster? Or to disable AM radio stations?
Having a v6 i do not think dictates if you have auto start stop also there are other modules that should be edited to disable the button etc.
I was wondering why the mirrors on mine would not work. I though the DDM x84x was for tow mirrors. I guess I can do that tommorow 😂.
Is there a way to view 360 camera in motion on forscan? That would be super nice off-roading driving up steep hill roads

I would like for my lariat to angle the side mirrors in and down when the trans goes into reverse (so you can see the curb and tires while backing). My brother's lexus car does this and it is handy

Hi Ricardo. Once again great video. Hey I know you did a video in DRL’s. Can you send me the screenshots you made of the FORscan codes for master disable of DRL’s. What I want is, with the truck in gear and the light selector switch turned all the way to the left (off) I want ZERO lights on. I can’t seem to quite get all the way there. Currently I’ve got them set for parking lights only. BTW, I have an f350 but I think programming is the same.

You listed 5 different setting to change for global windows open amd close, do you have to do all 5 changes? Or just pick one?

I jsut bought a 2020 F150 Lariat. I would love most of those options done to my truck, especially the temp gauges for the coolant and trans! Someone please come do that to my truck LOL. I live in WI

Avoid changing anything to do with the APIM/SYNC and navigation. Whenever that APIM connects to the servers via WiFi, it adds that corrupt data to the servers and causes all sorts of issues when SYNC updates are done.

Did Blue GT theme in APIM and messed up the drive modes. Stayed in Sport Mode.
Do you have a video on how to use Forscan as a diagnose tool.
I have one ? What about the engine oil pressure readout. Always hated the miles to empty being the only one displayed up top so I’m getting forscan to change mostly what you did in this video but CAN you add oil pressure readout as well so all 4 gauges show a value above or is that not something you can do? Thx for the video man. Luv it

Great video! Any idea what would control the massage seats? I did the Lincoln mirrors, Nav in motion, Bambi mode, and disabled the double honk and now my multi contour seats are disabled.
Not sure if it's related. Check fuses. Revert to original settings if its still not working. Checkout forscan.org too

Is there a code to remove check engine light for removing the valance motor?
Thanks for these. I'm def changing some things. Double honk is so annoying along with the autostop. It's retarded for a passenger to not be able to use navigation while moving.
Is there a way to disable the auto lock feature? I hate going through the Walmart parking to pick up someone at the door and the stupid door locked itself. I would rather be the one who decides if I want to lock or unlock the door. I know some vehicles have the option to disable that feature with the onboard menus, but I have looked through every menu I can find on my 2019 F-150 XL and I haven’t seen an auto lock disable feature.
Thank you for the ForScan videos. Very helpful to unlock my trucks full potential. Will you please share the mods to your truck? Lift? Tires? I like the stance. I have a fully loaded 2018 Lariat and will be doing some of the mods like Lincoln mirrors and global windows. Is there a way to unlock adaptive cruise? My truck has everything but adaptive.
You cant just add the software if you don't have the hardware. But if you have all the hardware, it just a metter of turning it on.
My truck is simple... 1.5 inch level kit in front, 1/2 inch block lift in back. I did add 1.5 inch spacers on the wheels. And 295/60R20s Nitto ATs
@@ricardosworkshop I have the camera for the lane keep. Just don’t have the button on the steer wheel. I also have the park assist and trailer backup.
Hey Ricardo, I did a few mods and now have an issue with the Ambient Light in the truck.
1) The Dome lights stay on when ignition is on. They brighten and dim too, its really weird. (only way to cut them off is to cut the ambient light switch off on the overhead panel.
2) The Ambient colorful lights won't come on at all now either...
Are there any fixes on FORSCAN that you know of?
List of Mods I made: 2016 F-150 Lariat V-8 5.0L w/ updated Sync 3:
1. Side Mirror Close Auto when locking
2. Bambi Mode on Headlights
3. Enabled the Trailer Brake Control Mod
4. Global Windows
5. Disabled Honk when you get out of vehicle and close door while its running
I would revert all to original. Then change one at a time. You should be able to narrow down the issue.

Actually only the 2.7L v6 ecoboost had the start stop on the 2015-2016 models, 2017 and newer all engines have it.

The Turn signal has OUC [on unit cancel] True or False dependencies. My 3 flash OEM set was 7, not 6 because my OUC was True so to get 4 flashes I had to set to 9 not 8 as your video states. I mention this because when I did set to 8 as the video states, I messed up my OUC setting.
Thats interesting John. I thought OUC was a separate setting.
@@ricardosworkshop I think the OUC setting is actually selecting 7 or 9 and so on. When I selected 6 I could not cancel once selected but you can when you select 7 or 9 and so on. Your video is fantastic, very helpful. Thank you

The Mirror Auto Fold; is there a way to have it so they do not unfold when you close the door? So manual Unfold.

On the navigation I notice that it doesn’t track your actual speed as like my family’s Kia does it turns the speed limit sign red if your going over the posted limit do you know if this is capable with this for scan mod?

Not with forscan. Possibly with some hard wire override. But not sure
Hey man! Hope you see this. I was wondering if you know if it's possible or not to change the splash screen with the sync 2. I did it on forscan on the non as-built format, even after a soft radio reset it never showed the raptor start up screen. Can't find much help across the ford forums. Help!!😂

With and without memory. When you turn the truck off and then back on, do you want it to remember the previous setting or start with low beam again?

Usually not but I've heard of that happening too. Double check everything and try again. And checkout forscan.org
Has anyone tried the Lincoln Style mirror mod on a 2013 f150? Or does the year of the vehical matter on what you you change in the boxes?
If it has the same module. It should work. But 2013 probably is different.

I hadn't bought it yet but next on the list. Are you having to plug in all 3 or 4 of those codes for the mods mentioned or just one of them?
I would recommend one at a time. Make sure you save original settings.

Ricardo, When opening IPC module, does the warning say anything about the odometer? I have an f250 and so far all codes match. But when I went into IPC the warning implied changes to odometer so I bailed. Thanks!

If I installed aftermarket tow mirrors that fold that had manual fold from the factory, will the forscan mod still work?
It should work... but you might need the modules and buttons to go with it.
i was playing with BCM i found that i can enable fog light when turning the steering wheel left and right you can do such video no coding needed just change it from disabled to enabled (Dont forget to credit me thanks)

Um, not with OEM. Probably with some aftermarket tacks.
Does the Forscan allow you to reprogram the Adaptive cruise control?
If you have the hardware you should be able to activate it.

So this is a 2015? You have sync2 in 2016 sync 3 came out changing a lot of the codes in forscan.
Yes... some codes changed for SYNC3 but the spreadsheet lists them.

Yours is probably newer. Mine is a Sync 2. It has its benefits but Sync 3 is better overall.

I have a 2018 raptor and want to be able to lock my keyfaub in the truck when i go surfing. I rather hide it inside the vehicle than outside of it. Any codes?
So, I haven't seen any codes for this but I've hidden mine in the back seats. Or deep in the center console. And door handle sensor doesnt detect them.
This is easy. Just press the bottom two door keypad buttons at the same time. Locks the door with fob inside, wherever you want. No double honk, and door handle won't open the truck. I keep mine in the center console and never move it. I never carry my key with me.
Press 7-8 and 9-0 on your keyless entry at the same time. You can also lock your truck while it's running this way as well
You can also lower your tailgate with your keypad by hitting the last number of your pin a second time
How about making it lock
And secure 30 seconds after you
Close door?
I have forgotten to lock and secure a few times, I asked the service guy at the dealer

Lithium grease works best. Still have to re apply every 4-6months.
I had kne at work with squeaky doors. It turned out that I lubed up the door latches and the squeaks went away. Wasnt the door rubber like I thought.
