    Thank you for your kind and heartfelt comments everyone! Your support means a lot to me and keeps me going. I was thinking that even though I am primarily a solo musician, a video like this is a result of many, sometimes overlooked collaborations: the original arrangement by James Edwards, the guitar by Martin Blackwell, the strings by Savarez, the guitar support by Woodside, the audio and video work by Drew Henderson and all the equipment that he is using, and obviously the timeless composition by Claude Debussy -- so it is in fact a team effort! I am grateful for everyone and everything that helped make this and other videos possible.
    Thanks again, and I look forward to share more content with you soon!

    no other piece of music touches this one if you ask me. it is absolute perfection. every single time i listen i am just sitting in wonder of it and it never gets old. some comment nailed it when they said "with Debussy, the next note is always exactly the note you want it to be"

  • @uneedtherapy42
    @uneedtherapy42 3 ปีที่แล้ว +40

    Julian Bream once told a story that Miguel Llobet was invited by Debussy to come to his home and demonstrate the possibilities of the guitar in that Debussy wanted to write some music for guitar. Some original music. Llobet was so intimidated by Debussy's fame that he never went. Listening to this piece I can't help but dream if Llobet would have gone the pieces Debussy may have written for the instrument would have been stunning. Debussy understood tone color perhaps better than any composer ever and would have exploited colors on the guitar in a way that would have been incredible.
