That is a very cool kit and you are doing very nice work as always. I have always shyed away from the "garage kits" not because they are bad but because of the extra work that needs to be done on them. Looking forward to the next part of the build.
@@HobbyLinkInternational thanks. Yeah i can definitely understand the hesitation about garage kits. This was such a unique kit and also thought it would be great to provide some exposure for Steve. Thanks Kenny. I appreciate your kind words as always
Good news about Federation Models: it's still there, though some links aren't working. It's a good idea to email before ordering. As you probably know, Tracy (the owner) is battling cancer and was shutting down, but he says his doctors have been giving him good news. Definitely thoughts and prayers for Tracy, and some business in his direction couldn't hurt, either! He is a real stand-up guy, great to do business with.
@@Bellerophonmodeler that is excellent news. I will pass this on in the next video. Thanks for the update! And yes sending positive thoughts and hopes to Tracy.
Hi Oggie, hope all is great with you and the family. Love B.G. as a kid I always thought the cammand ship was so awesome. Great to see you building again Oggie this build will be cool to watch, can't wait to see the finish.
The T-Shirt is awesome! I am motivated now to do a 3.75" version of this with some seats for the action figures to sit and a removable top to access the interior.
Thanks Franco. Yeah filling seams is never a favorite thing of mine to do but having stuff like Milliput has made the job so much easier. It's not anything new but I really didnt know about the stuff for quite a few years. Just one application this time around. So much better than having to reapply putty with mediocre results. Thanks for watching
I've done a couple of resin builds Oggy and the thing I hate the most is the dust from sanding. I like how you did the window. Looks good sir and thank you!
Ouggie, I have all three Battlestars (Original Galatica, re-imagined Galatica, and re-imagined Pegasus) in ratio size (Mobeous Models). I would like a Rising Star in the same ratio size. Will probably have to do the Rising Star via my own make of my own.
Nice work Oggie!!!
Thanks so much

Thanks so much. Yeah the Galactica itself has got to be one of the best sci-fi ships ever.

Love this build. Hope to get to orangecon this year.
Thanks Phil....yeah I'll be around at Orangecon for sure.
Beautiful job on those seems and the Front Window . Those seems reminds me of the Lunar Model Hell Days .

Looks great so far Oggie. Great solutions for some of the problems.
Thank you Shawn

@@richardcorwin1828 yeah me too. This will probably be my last resin cast kit for a number of reasons but it’s a fun model to work on
The tip on using Dymo tape for scribe lines is very useful! Could also be a useful as painting & decal guides?
Thanks so much. Yeah that Dymo tape makes all the difference with scribing
I forgot I have this kit, someday hope to build it lol.
It's a fun one to work on. Thanks for watching
Glad you showed a picture of what it will look like at the start. Otherwise, it just looks like a trampled NASA space shuttle.
Lol yes it does
Need you to build some models of the spaceships we are gonna have at the ARC! 😱😁👍👍🇺🇸
@@TinyHouseHomestead thanks for watching. I have to ask…what’s ARC?
I've the same question, RE: ARC?@@InterstellarModeler
Love the shirt!

Well she looks good
Thanks Travis
Hey Oggie
Congrats on selling some of your pieces.
Take care😊
@@Tim-57 thank you Tim
Strange that it's hard to find details online whether the front is a solid brick of resin or hollow enough to light it and put electronics inside.
I know the model is hollow just not sure how far into the nose. Definitely check with Steve. Thanks for watching
Are you going to light up this Rising Star model? I think that would be a GOOD thing to do. Just a suggestion...
No, I'm keeping things pretty simple. Thanks for watching.
Amazon has a Scriber tool called ANSAI scriber with 5 blades
@@blue89irocz28 i’ll check that out. I plan on doing a scribing tutorial on Interstellar Academy. I should get a hold of that for the demo. Thanks
OrangeCon sounds like a Trump rally. 😏
