I was taken aback for a moment seeing you dressed in BSG Adama garb. You look so much like him. I never noticed how cool the Rising Star looked. Star Wars, Space 1999, 2001 ASO and the Galactica were all such "busy" ships in their detail that the smooth more simplistic design of the Rising Star went under the radar. Like the Enterprise sometimes less is more.
Thank you very much. That BSG uniform is definitely one of my holy grail costumes. The guy who made it did a fantastic job. And yeah i quite agree. The Rising Star is really a very nice design. Thanks so much for watching.
Beautiful work on the ship and great idea on the post holder. Paint string is always a great practice 😊 and thank you for mentioning the Halloween build!
Excellent video series and superb build and result as always, love the weathering on this!! You should do a video sometime on your cosplay collection 😊
Was wondering why you didn't paint the red lines instead of using the decals. I know it's a pain in the butt to prep, paint, and risk red over spray, but you seem to be the type of modeler who likes a challenge. Wonderful job. One of the best weathering I've seen on a model.
@@jingles009 yeah, funny you mentioned this, i really debated but finally decided on the decals in order to demo decal application. Appreciate the kind compliments
Brilliant work, again. Thos is one of the cooler civilian ships in the fleet. Next time, you should also build your next BSG model project while wearing your BSG outfit.
Hello Oggy, hope all is well with you and the fam. I think she turned out great Oggy, scared me a little with the wash but it all came out great at the end...oh and love the Adama outfit or is that col Tigh's? anyway looks awesome. Great video thanks for posting and sharing it's greatly appreciated.
LOVED this build! Been working in fusion 360 so I have to make a mounting post like you showed it looked like a great design thanks for sharing If you do a Resin printing as I saw in the video on Amazon there is a strong UV flashlight I like to use called ( UV beast ) HIGH Power Upgraded Triple Broad Band using this light it would have fully cured those windows in about a minute. The flashlight even comes with glasses which I wear all the time using this light. The cost is about 60.00 if I remember but well worth work like windows and quick shot into resin print for the inside
Thanks so much. The uniform was made by Galactic Costume, Etsy. Unfortunately the silver checkered material for the command uniform is no longer available but he does still offer the tan colonial warrior uniforms. www.etsy.com/shop/galacticcostume
@@InterstellarModeler Many thanks for the reply commander. )p Way back when BSG was new I begged my mom and pop to get me the Colonial Warriors jacket that was available then, I still have it with the pants. One day Id love to get that commanders tunic. But to be honest you look like you belong on the set of that original show. Serious.
Never buy anything from Alfred Wong. He believes accuracy doesn't matter. As long as it "looks the part". However, I'm happy to see you putting some nice effort into it. Working on the rising star myself at the moment...but the CG version..
You did a great job with it I think. Oh! That guy on ArtStation I follow as well and his models look like filming miniatures. WAY better than our production CG models for BSG. That guy really spent some time to match that "model" look.
Hey Oggie
Great outcome!
Thank you for sharing.
Take care 😊
Thanks 👍
"Murder on the Rising Star" was one of my favorite episodes.
