I just found you and am already hooked. Love your way of describing, step by step, without a lot of extra talking! I’m going to try this acetate technique today!
Take a post-it note and stick it to the edge of your paper when you're cutting your final strips, that way you have something substantial to hang on to for the last one or two cuts and they won't slip away from you. Just stick them on the left side of the paper/acetate strips and you can hang on to the post-it note instead of the actual strips. I hope that makes sense lol. Also, if you don't have a stamp platform, you can put a piece of graph paper or even just lined notebook paper underneath the acetate to help you get straight lines 😊. Vellum/colored vellum works really well in place of acetate too. I find that if I do use a laminating pouch / sheet, I go ahead and run it through the laminator and stick it to itself to give it a little more "oomph" and make it less flimsy. It's perfectly fine to run just the pouch / two sheets through the laminator with nothing in between them - I've been doing it for years lol.
Thanks for all the tips! Love the post it tip. I don’t have a laminator currently, but if I get one there’s tons to do with it. The crafting community is so helpful and versatile! ❤️
Love all 4. Thank u for showing measurements on the screen for us. I only have hearing in 1 ear so I don't always hear what's being said even tho I have the volume up as far as it will go.
I rewatched the video because I wasn’t sure what labels you were talking about. I’m assuming you mean the Happy Birthday sentiment. I used a circle die cut. Let me know if that answers your question, or not. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Oh! Ok. I’m sorry I didn’t understand. I have multiple paper trimmers. The one in this video is a Fiskars Surecut. When closed up it measures 6” x 12” but it opens to accommodate 12 x 12 paper. It comes with the markings on it.
How did you come up with this idea?? That's really creative! I also like the way that you describe the process. You are patient & explain everything clearly!
Such a clever idea! The shine on the first card was a surprise!
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! 💕
I like the 3rd and 4th best, but also like the idea if using for masculine cards. Tfs!
Using the acetate this way makes this card way easier then trying to add those tiny squares to a background. Amazing card
I agree! Love the small squares but loathe trying to place them. Thanks so much for watching!

Another cool video. Did you put those labels on your paper cutter? That’s a great idea and video toipc

@@villagecardandcrafts Sorry I meant the measurements on the paper cutter but know I know that it was made like that. Thanks for the response.
