    You've just saved me hours of manipulation and frustration, with these two options: Pin and Follow active quads. I looked at several other videos on TH-cam to find a way to do this but I couldn't find anything like you describe it here. Thank you very much for sharing it.

    How did he add the UV grid to the object right at the start? Is that an option to enable or is it just a texture applied to the model?

    • @Markom3D
      @Markom3D  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      when you create anew image, you can select the colour, but also add the grid texture to it

    I don't know what to do, every time I render the cabin of the ETS2 truck that I'm creating, some black dots appear in the rendered image that generate the occlusion of the environment, I've tried everything

    Markom have you heard of the free UV squares addon? It does this all with just a click or at least close to it. I love it for cylinder meshes.

    Hello Markom. Great video, sadly I could use a bit of help here. I am trying to cut down my draw calls within blender on "Extracted Unreal Models" (Fortnite Character, with props merged onto the body UV set up already) . So my mesh has a working UV map and unwrap already applied. Yet when I go to try and unwrap something off the OG UV set my object picks up color from all across the OG texture image. Is there a way to isolate the unwrap to its correct image location and gain a new image based off the correct colors? I have to regain computing power somehow, and figure this is best place to go next, because I am assuming that something as small as a Thigh Holster off of a Deadpool model is still reading the ENTIRE texture layout that came into Blender on the completed model. Plus tricks like decimate, and limit dissolves only help slightly, and can quickly make a model unfit for direct camera sight within my animations. I am loosing CPU horsepower fast and would love to isolate the reason, and begin training myself on corrective and safe fixes hopefully. Thanks for the help.

    Awesome video - is UV Packmaster the closest thing you've seen to the flatten UV map feature in 3DSMax? I don't think that feature comes standard in Blender.
