Jeff, a 2031 pick was used to acquire Bridges just last week. Those picks have real present day trade value to acquire more established players. Too early to say what the Spurs will do with them but they have a good recent track record of timing the down turn of organizations like Atlanta and Toronto.
People just can’t get it, sas will never make those picks they got from Minnesota for #8. It’s trade capital, doesn’t matter if the pick was in 2041, they’ll never make the pick, it’s ammo for another move. Get it.

Yeah like everyone is acting like Rob is a generational offensive player and the truth is he is not. I think he will be good, but he is too small and will be targeted in the playoffs. The only way to justify being on the court is if you're a generational offensive player.
@@apex8373Exactly its better to specialise into a defensive unit that takes advantage of Wemby in that regard than to try to balance offence and defence by picking a good yet undersized offensive guard which could potentially hamper Wemby as a defender because he is a target
@@apex8373 Yup Rob ceiling is like a 6th man. I dont think will ever be a starting level player so why draft a bench player in the lottery when the team still have holes to fill in the starting linup.

How do you guys do this for a living and not even consider that spurs will never use those firsts from Minnesota and instead are gearing up for a trade. We literally just saw a 1st from 2031 involved in the Mikel bridges trade. This is trade is so fun, because everyone I consider frauds and dumbasses have been whining and all of the smart basketball analysts have been saying how valuable unprotecteds are.
Since when do you get good players in trades ? You either get disgruntled player or injured player 🤷♂️🤦♂️💯 never a player that wants to be there unless it's a super star trade but he is that just puts them in kawhi category 💯🤦♂️🤷♂️

Why would the spurs want to add another young player to the youngest team in the league when they should be trying to win now with Wemby? We also have two 1sts next year with an incredible 2025 draft class, so you know more talented youth is coming soon. MN picks will be used to add experience at the right time rather than an unneeded experiment now.
... unless the Spurs are looking to trade for an established player. Maybe a sharp-shooting 3 and D small forward or power forward? We don't understand what they are up to, but I'm sure that they have a plan, a reason, for converting their 8th pick to draft capital in the next decade.

College players obviously have many advantages over most French players. They get accepted, train, get on the field and play. The French and other foreigners may need a lot of time to integrate into the new culture, way of life and learn the language. They may have trouble showing their skills in the first two years, then they could reach their potential and prove their basketball values and leadership skills for a long-term project.
Idk I don’t see a difference between us college players and overseas players in terms of adapting to the nba. The European players speak all decent English anyways
