About this game:
Enter the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon crawler following a band of misfits seeking to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution by reaching the legendary Gungeon’s ultimate treasure: the gun that can kill the past. Select a hero [or team up in co-op] and battle your way to the bottom of the Gungeon by surviving a challenging and evolving series of floors filled with the dangerously adorable Gundead and fearsome Gungeon bosses armed to the teeth. Gather precious loot, discover hidden secrets, and chat with opportunistic merchants and shopkeepers to purchase powerful items to gain an edge.

while I appreciate the effort, I do kind of wish he would just check the Ammonomicon first, since more often than not it tells you what it does without having to tab out to the wiki

I love this series so much. Solid play all around today NL that lich fight was a thing of beauty.
He's actually done it, the first time you nail the square dance on Lich phase 2 feels so satisfying
Once you learn to just hug the wall on that attack, it feels like a whole new world has opened up in front of you.

Can I just say. Fricking textbook, NL. Grade A run. You dialed in. You had a plan, stuck to it and executed like a Boss. These are the videos that keep me around.
Now, if only you could buckle down, and show A20 on Slay the Spire the same dogged determination, grit and thoughtful research you showed this Gungeon run.

Awesome episode. Maximum glycogen levels engaged. More than anything I like that you're mixing up your runs. Do some paradox. Do some traditional gungeoneer runs. Do some advanced draguns. Do so liches. Do whatever feels right at the time. Extremely loving this series.
This is the single greatest performance I’ve seen out of NL in any game. He may not be perfect tomorrow. He may not be great the next day. But let it be known that on this day, he stands a l-egg-end

That bullet hell and that lich fight and especially that faze 2 attack - fills me with joy and pride. It's the first time I've seen anyone dodge this attack flawlessly without blanks.

Godlike gameplay coming from the eggdad himself.
Also NL when Game pad gets to 0 ammo it breaks BUT it spawns a chest of random quality that CAN be a mimic.
Also if you input some combos on it you get a Grappling Hook (wich you can steal with) and a Hadouken-like shot that deals 45 damage.
Definitively, the egg put it's strongest shell. Flawless Lich, no blanks. Congrats, you deserve it!
Within the first minute of the episode he says: "Should be flipping tables" and then proceeds to not flip a single table for the entire run, so much for table tech stun being "okay" :D

That spice play was expected but also completely perfect
Spice is one of my favorite items from a conceptual standpoint. I just like how many different strategies there are on how to use it in the most efficient way possible.
But one thing is for sure, you don't wanna take spice on the first floor
Unless you want to go really crazy with the Spice. The joy of it is that, while it may not be generally advisable, it isn't really inherently bad either.
how is there any strategy on using spice? all u have to do is pick it up and press the space bar

I've actually literally never been more proud of this boy in my entire life than when he dodged that one second phase lich pattern perfectly for the first time.

NL, for the future, the evolver isnt a jealous gun. It will continue to evolve with enemy kills regardless if you use another gun or not. The evolver refills ammo with each evolution though so it's not a waste of ammo to just use the evolver if that's what you want to/need to do.

Interesting thing about ac15 for anyone interested. Pretty much, the armored forms main change is ammo efficiency and knockback. The armored form is really efficient but still has the same dps as the unarmored form

D Pad has good damage, but low ammo, so you want to use it fast, because then it spawns a free chest of any quality. Also, there are combos.

Yo this run isn't as easy to nitpick as I'm used to you're robbing me of my Job here!
Jokes aside, good work throughout most of the run especially enjoyed the part where his gut feeling told him to take three Spices which is just the right amount imo.

nl, two things to think about, bosses have really strong boss armor that ony a handful of weapons can surpass. boss armor basically works in a way that only a certain dps cap can be dealt to a boss, if you stop shooting for a while you will do more damage per shot. this is good for high damage weapons so you don't waste like two thirds of the damage with every shot just because you didn't wait for boss armor to wear off, which again only takes like ~1.5-2 seconds. for faster firing weapons with decent damage it's a good idea to fire in bursts, how many shots per burst really depends on your weapon and passives that affect damage and fire rate. you just have to get a feel of when the cap resets so you do way more damage with way less shots.
the second thing is that you have to consider that the amount of damage you deal compared to other games is really low, for example: the marine sidearm does five damage per shot. that means if you get a damage upgrade that is below 20% it will not do anything for that weapon. if the damage and health for huns and enemies was increased by a multiplier of 10x, the marine sidearm would deal 55 damage, with a 10% damage increase the marine sidearm's damage would be increased to 60(.5) but since it is coded with low numbers a lot of upgrades you might consider useful really won't do that much for you.
also you shouldn't care as much about curse, as long as you stay under 10 and get decent equipment through gaining curse you are absolutely fine. i mean your dodge game is decent, so it won't matter as much when enemies fire shots that deal double damage since you are only rarely getting hit. also there are really good items that benefit of a high level of curse on you. cursed bullets for instance, they give you a 10% damage bonus for every level of curse. they give you 2 curse on pickup, so you'll alreadyget a 20% damage increase just for picking them up. at 9 curse they will give you a *90%* damage bonus, grant4ed you will have to fight enemies with more hp more frequently, but in my experiencethe damage boost more than makes up for it.
love the series eggdaddy, i've been watching since vanilla isaac, i'm glad you're playing gungeon again. i rarely watch isaac anymore but i really enjoy the gungeon series since it's just such a good game. have fun and good luck on unlocking the gunslinger, he's really fun to play. :^)
One mistake, Cursed Bullets are actually just 1 curse on their own.

Curse is okay to have in Gungeon. It has benefits and drawbacks. You just don't want to have more than 9 curse. Some items are worth having curse though, such as Spice and Cursed bullets and a ton of other items.

4 uses of spice is imo the ideal number, you lose 2 hp, but they are the same you gain from spice, so is basicly "free" damage ( yeah you get curse, but at the same time you get stronger so the red enemies aren't that hard)

Recently unlocked the Gunslinger, with "Big Boy", "Mourning Star" with poison shoots and fat bullets, ya better beat it with how long you invested in this game.
i think the rest of the spice is still worth picking up since it stacks and so you can eventually sell it to the sell creep if he shows up on a later floor

@Brick Studios oh no, spice is a stackable active item, not a passive. once you consume one, you permanently get the buffs NL was listing from the wiki. you can still pick them up and hoard a bunch of them with no downside - such as curse - and then later sell them all for an absolute fortune when you meet the sell creep. they sell for 41 casings each.
