Episode is called Hubris. Last one was one of the best runs ever. This one obviously ends on a rat loss. 10/10 intro. Rarely do I instalike vids, but this is just too good.

NL's just one a'dem proper 'ol hillbilly hicks he used'a visit to shoot cans wid a bb gun. Ain't nutin' as good in dis life as a good pitchfork-and-torch-totin' angry mob. I tell ya.
Quick tip n°2: The SAA doesn't only have bouncing shots, it has a sort of "smart bounce", shots that bounce will automatically target enemies, plus shots do more damage if they have bounced before hitting the target! 😉
SAA bullets if bounced off of something will kinda track enemies and do more damage. Also, you can kick extra hearts into the first rat phase. Good luck next time.
Yo, NL, EASY things to do: 1) unlock alternate weapons for all the characters by beating their past again with their alt costumes on 2) beat the game with beast mode on to unlock the bait launcher. Just go into the options menu and turn on beast mode and beat the game (beast mode changes nothing about the game, just a hidden option to turn on) 3) while you are in the options menu turn on move faster out side of combat!
This run perfectly demonstrates NL's "save all the ammo on good guns for Christmas syndrome" He had Big Shotgun, and didn't use it on Rat's second phase, instead, he used Face Melter, which has limited range and created much visual noise
I don't think it's that different. The Big Shotgun makes a lot of visual noise too, and does not have much better DPS. NL really should have dropped an Amp right by the boss.
I really like your content. We are on the same page with the Arcade game! I just saw that today! It’s just so cool how the developers love video games. Can’t believe you didn’t know what a blessed run was after all this time smh

NL: I have no idea what a blessed run is. Where do I go? IDK. Maybe the room where the Rainbow Run challenge is. Where all the challenge NPCs live. Me: Hey NL go get me the Arugula vegetable. NL: I don't know what that is. I'm in the grocery store. Where should I go? The Attic? The Drive-through? The Himalayas? Maybe you should be more specific.

No no no, clearly it's the Electronic Earts Expo. The middle "E" is silent. It's too bad they couldn't think of a similar word that natively started with e to make it flow better.
The thing with the big shotgun seemed to be that the 1st rat phase was too small, so 2/3 of the bullets were just missing it entirely. Where presumably it would be much more effective against the giant (and generally stationary) second phase.
Turbo mode would be good. There's a canine on the right hand side of the breach he will make the game twice as hard for you and you don't even have to pay him. Also what's an electronics arts expo? Has EA monopolized the entire games industry or something
I think Blessed Runs as the Gunslinger would be super-interesting, as he'd be forced to deal with constantly-shifting sets of synergies coming from guns he *thinks* he is already familiar with the qualities of each and every few seconds. ...Plus, he can mix it right up with Turbo Mode to boot. :)
@@KingInYellowTatters I don't personally like using the gun slinger with any of the challenge modifiers activated because he kinda invalidates their purpose by turning a majority of the guns into something that's at least usable if not better. It's like cycling back and forth between guns that are either totally fine or really good and maybe occasionally you'll have something that is a bit of a nuisance like a charmed bow or something. It's his prerogative ultimately. Though I am very excited to see his reaction to turbo mode, hence why I personally would love to see him start with that. They will all be a blast to watch probably let's be real.
@@Crazimo But has he beaten it? I didn't think it possible but then again, he could only have gone up against the vanilla dragun and called it a day after the unlock popped up.
A Blessed Run is: How: Talk to the Sorceress NPC in the same room as the Rainbow Run NPC. What: "Player's gun to periodically change to a different random gun after dealing a certain amount of damage or running out of ammo". Why: Unlocks an achievement, unlocks a gun, and ZANY CONTENT.
holy, that first phase rat fight looks like what happens when I fight the rat. That was painful to watch. Will give him credit, he did almost pull it back in the second phase. If he had switched off the damn Facemelter to reduce the screen clutter I think he could have actually dodged everything that ended up killing him.
Did NL miss the "exclusive for arcades" text in the Gungeon light gun game announcement? It's expensive because it's for commercial use, the TICKET is gonna be cheap.
Does Ryan know that you can drop down to the rat door and still get back up to the main floor? I usually do that to spend the blanks and get it over with, then I don't have to worry about using the blanks incorrectly.
It's only randomized per player, so it's always the same for him, but you can't copy NL's route. You need to look at the 6 Infuriating Notes. They should have cheese wedges pointing in different directions.

I'm 99% sure he died to poor gun selection. I've mentioned in the past that walking into the first phase of the rat with an inaccurate weapon is a recipe for disaster and sadly the big shotgun falls right into that category. Wouldn't be surprised if he landed less than 40% of the pellets during the fight and we can see how that turned out. The face melter would've been really good because you can consistently land both streams of bullets with pin-point accuracy and really good damage output. Shame he saved it for the second phase where the spread of the doom shotgun becomes a non-issue putting it into a league of its own in terms of output. Don't get me wrong face melter is also good for phase two but did you notice how insanely large that freaking shotgun is? No way anything could keep up with that.

That massive shotgun sucking up shell enemies as a reload animation is one of the things that makes Gungeon so special tbh. That was just hilarious.
