Some thoughts (spoilers ahead): > The Dark Marker has a charge-shot functionality. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that Helix Bullets ruins the effect of the gun. Luckily thanks to Platinum Bullets, its damage output without the charge was still decent. > Platinum Bullets is (eventually) a massive rate of fire and damage increase. You need to be super careful with this item, because even though it makes your guns better, you can expend ammo extremely quickly and run out before you know it. Especially against bosses, since there is a damage cap, you can end up wasting an extreme amount of ammo! > AC-15 is a great gun, but only if you have armor. If you don't have any armor, then it's near worthless. If you don't know what an item does, read the ammonomicon you Egg! > Alien Sidearm is the best worst gun. If you have nothing else, at least you have alien sidearm. The synergy makes it fire faster at the cost of efficiency. > The Flashbang has an additional function in Gungeon: They can let you steal items from shop! The first one's on the house, after that you could be caught red handed. > If you want more guns in Gungeon, fight the boss BEFORE opening the chests. If you don't pick up a gun on the floor, the boss is (nearly?) guaranteed to give you a gun. This way you can almost always guarantee yourself two guns per floor. > F in chat.
Gun forcing is actually something he talked about on the first floor. Also, I'd argue that the Alien Sidearm upgrade doubles its ammo, thus the efficiency isn't impacted too heavily.

Hey NL, some episode-specific feedback: -The sword destroys bullets if you swipe at them removing the need to dodge roll in a lot of circumstances. -Platinum bullets increase fire rate and damage according to how much you use a gun. It's one of the best items in the game. -The alien sidearm (without synergy) is hot trash, but is slightly less trash when used without charging. -The black hole gun needs to be charged to activate its other effect. When the two bullets hit each other in this mode they do a lot of damage and have a blank effect. -The ammonomicon (the item screen) shows which items work together as a synergy but don't actually tell you what the synergy is. Just fire off a few rounds to find out. -Yes, the chaff grenade only has three uses, but it is balanced by the fact that you can throw it at shopkeepers to steal their stuff.
This series was something I was super into when the game first came out! Ended up buying Gungeon on sale a couple months ago. Now I yell at NL for not knowing things but he's way better at dodging boss hits than I am, so I still appreciate the new content.

A word of advice, NL. Always open Brown chests! First, there are plenty of brown chest items that are great, like the Sling, the Machine Pistol, and the Springheel Boots, along with Casey if you're good with it. Second, there's a chance that any one Brown chest will be a rainbow chest in disguise, and you don't want to pass up that opportunity. Third, Brown chests commonly drop a pickup of some kind, along with a gun or item. There's a decent chance that pickup will be a key, making the chest more than pay for itself. So just don't assume because it's lowest on the tier, it's bad. Also, in the chest hierarchy, blue is the second lowest, and green is one higher, something you seem to have mixed up. To be honest, Blue chests have probably the largest ratio of bad items to good items for any chest, so I'd suggest they be lowest on your priority. Hope all this helps!
For ammo drops you can leave to a already completed room and immediately come back and scare the rat away this will alow you to go to all room in the immediate vicinity where you can use a gun then come back and collect the ammo

The dog would be beneficial in the long term, yes, but how the hell would the dog be better than the sword passive...? I say that because he didn't have any other guns. So you expect NL to swing his sword, with no range mind you, and still win let alone flawless it (which he did because he got the heart). Again, the dog is better in the long run, but it's not fun having to fight a boss with Blasphemy _without_ the projectiles. It's not _just_ for the "pleasure" of having the passive, it's half the weapon... So what's your point? You want NL to get the item _just_ to have a dog companion, not even for the benefits...? You don't have to be so passive agressive just because other people don't have a weird thing for dogs like you do, get over it, please. Also, he didn't throw away 6hp, it was only 2.

Egg, just FYI that Junkan is WAY less likely to spawn from a destroyed chest once you've unlocked him. He goes from like 20% chance down to 1% chance (if you even get junk) once you've picked him up the first time.
The Ant Villain is a picnic basket that shoots big spinning tin cans, symbolizing the pain ants feel when they come across canned goods which they cannot access.
Why has he called it the fucking ant villain thirty times. I'm losing my fucking mind. Does he actually look at the screen? Does he know how to read? Jesus Christ. It shoots anvils.
Blasphemy is really good if you prioritize armor, and fight up close. You can hit enemies with both the melee and the projectile at the same time, clearing out rooms quickly. You can also swing Blasphemy fast enough to make boss fights a cakewalk by staying back, removing bullets, and using the projectile to damage them from afar. You just have to stay at full health, which is easier said than done.
Man NL, after my commenting yesterday, guess fortune found me, I got the Bullet and Robot Pasts completed and unlocked a new character via the hint I left you. Only correction I have to that hint is you may pursue your past or the Lich to finalize the unlock after a win. I wish you luck with the Bullet's past.
When NL plays this poorly it makes me want him to lose. He somehow didn't notice what platinum bullets did. Since he shoots until enemies are dead until predicting their death, he wasted so much ammo. He wanted to buy the heart to replenish health and knew he'd lose the ring of miserly protection. Since he had 3 full hearts, buying anything would return him to full health, causing him to completely waste his money on the heart. He could've bought Dog instead. Then he left the floor with enough money to buy a key from the shop. This was one of the hardest to watch runs he's ever done. Remembering that this is the same egg that lost a clone run makes it better. He's amazing, in a lot of ways.

Also, Chaff Grenade is mostly just useful for stealing shit from shops. Had you thrown it in the room with the guy who had the Membrane you could have got a free Membrane and either of the awesome other spacebar items.
If buying anything would break the ring, lowering his max HP by 2, wouldn't that have just put him back at full health? I doubt the game would take the 2 max HP and still keep the missing half-heart, he could've just bought the dog or even the key, instead of just buying health that won't exist the instant he buys it.
The windup gun is amazing with the right passives though, same can be said for alot of things, but i had cog of battle and fire/poison bullets, it was really good carried me to the 5th floor

Also on stealing: I believe as long as you exit the shop after each item stolen and before they come to their senses, you won't get caught.

The exact effect of platinum bullets is that they get more powerful for every bullet that hits an enemy.

Nl heavily underrates Brown chests. If you have extra keys its usually worth it to open them

The windup gun is amazing with the right passives though, same can be said for alot of things, but i had cog of battle and fire/poison bullets, it was really good carried me to the 5th floor
