    I wish they did the guilia as an estate, it'd be my dream car I couldn't live with the saloons boot as I have a big doggo so I'd have to have the stelvio

    When I was thinking: Yes! A spot on comparison on two SUV's I was really considering buying ... boom SVR vs QV. Forget about it.

    Taking two power Suv's to drive them like a granny and talk about interior? You even didn't push the Alfa for a second in Race Mode.... Worst review ever!

    The 2020 Alfa romeo will have better quality inside, more tech..and with his steering and his engine...that is a fabulous all around car...Jaguar is alright, but can't match the Alfa.

      Hahahahaha you clearly haven’t seen any of the vids on in-depth reviews on it. The interior in the Alfa is its biggest weak point. It’s built poorly it creaks and flexes. The jag is nice and luxurious with quality materials. It also has a smaller screen

  • @smilepermile888

    3:30 Sat nav screen is NOT way too small Jason, wtf are you talking about?

    Alfa has stunning exterior but the interior really need some upgrades

  • @fvntr
    @fvntr 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Is it just me or the overall feel of this comparison leans just a bit more towards the Jag? Perhaps national matters are more important than objectivity :-)
    Anyway, if interior quality is what really matters the most you should've taken the MY2020 Alfa Romeo for the benchmark. It makes a substantial difference actually.

    Stelvio is magnificent and future classic already. F-Pace will be obsolete in 2 years. Still it will be better than any comparable MB or Audi.

      @superjoe1 and? Anyway both of these cars are usually 2nd car in the family. If you need to carry stuff youll have an estate car at home or pick-up.
      However neither of those are build for heavy loads...i think they have enough booth space for a weekend trip. I still stay with my statement. Alfa is a way better car.

    Jag just isnt best or good in any against rivals. Alfa on the other hand has best performance and handling/driveability. Its hard to justify to buy that Jag, because its not top class in any section.

    I wish Jaguar and Alfa would up the interior quality. Alfa suffers from cheap bits that feel more Dodge Dart than Ferrari, and Jaguar suffers from what seems to be Toyota-grade parts that aren’t up to snuff with BMW, Mercedes or Audi. Jaguar also has ancient engines and they’re not using the latest generation of ZF’s 8-speed transmission. I really enjoyed the F-Pace S V6 loaner car I had, but at $75K it was way too expensive for what it was, and the 3.0L SCV6 never felt as refined or potent as the turbocharged 6-cylinder engines from the German competition. The infotainment system is a problem in all Jaguar Land Rover products. It’s slow to respond to touch inputs, confusing and buggy. Tesla’s infotainment system should be the standard every other company strives to match. If Jaguar priced the F-Pace S at a more reasonable $55K it would sell in huge numbers.
    Alfa’s problems with the Stelvio are many. The standard 2.0T engine is not a very good sounding engine and it doesn’t feel very quick lugging around the mass of the Stelvio. It handles well, but the standard non-adaptive suspension is far too firm. The adaptive dampers can only be put into the “soft” mode when in a specific drive mode which is stupid. I really wish Alfa would have offered a mid-spec turbocharged 6-cylinder engine (could be 2.5L-3.0L) that offered 375-400HP to bridge the gap between the 2.0T and QF’s 2.9TT V6 and compete more directly with Audi’s SQ5, BMW’s X3 M40i and Mercedes’ GLC43.

      In my opinion, Alfa is a heart purchase. It looks great, and that engine is a master piece. But in every other aspect it's a everage car. Rationally, you will always be better with any German rival.
      You right about the huge gap in the engine line up. There's no mid tier engine. It needs a tuned down 2.9 v6 in the Stelvio and Giulia.
      I think the F pace looks great too, not as good as the Stelvio, but looks good. In quality it might be a tad higher, but it's still no German quality interior. But the interior looks good and is classy. The v6 is not the best in classe, shows it's age, but its still a good mid range alternative, and it sounds great. In the f type, I prefer the sound of the v6 over the v8. It's beautiful

    • @fields1
      @fields1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nelson Marques the 2.9L V6 is a good engine in terms of raw power produced, but hardly anyone is buying the QF because it’s so expensive. The 2.0T engine in the normal Alfa models is just average in terms of power output, fuel economy and it sounds like a typical American 4-cylinder engine. I miss the character the old 1750TBI had or even the exhaust note of the 1.4T in the Fiat 500 would seem more appropriate in the Giulia and Stelvio than the super muffled exhaust note they gifted to the 2.0T cars. I don’t know why they made it so quiet and dull sounding.

      @@nelsonmarques1334 If you want good engine and perfoctamce , best handling and driveability take Alfa, if you need nice sofa on wheels take germans, I dont where Ill put Jag on this list because its not good in any category, poor quality interiorm ancient engines and average ride.

      75k is peanuts, my jaag which was a 168k has features even our Maybach, Bentley, AMG's and Rolls, don't have, and it does have the 8 speed, get the V8, I have the V6 and the V8 ones haha, nobody cares about an infotainment system LOL, the Jaag engine is amazing and what I love about it, it's what makes it alluring, like the NA V12 in the Aston, Lambo, Rari. The JLR system is actually my favourite LOL, although the new Bentley touch screens are also good, hate gearknobs and how common the germans are. But yeah the Alfa parts could be better. 75k is nothing for such a beautiful car haha, like if you want the creme de la creme of the jaag lineup, go buy an SVO/Project 7/8, Eagle E Type, CX75

      I am sorry what the hell?
      They are comparing an Alfa with a Jag and you think the Jag looks better?
      The Alfa is the prettiest car on the market right now the Jag is boring in every way. The only reason to tell that is because you are British.

    • @aidanwilson6035

      I agree , the Jag design really stands out ( especially the sporty side profile ) from all the generic & predictable German suv's that look much the same for every model , the Alfa is the best drivers suv & looks unique from the front , but the style of the side & back of the vehicle is too similar to many other suv's !
