That and Sapphire Steel are this decks two worst match ups. I do think it has great odds against any other deck which makes it a favorable deck to bring to set champs
Yep, I talk through this in this video and the deck profile. You can beat it though with some luck.
I play R/S and ran against a steel song that felt like it was hate built to counter R/S. Benja and World’s Greatest Criminal Mind wrecked me

I still lean into flutes to try and be more aggressive but this is a good list
problem is if the opponent draws and plays 2 or 3 be prepared without flute lantern becomes basically useless so i have opted more towards running flute over lanterns
Yeah i used to run flutes , i dropped it for lanterns.
Thoughts on a split between flute and lantern? I know most times there's a split between cards means you could run into wanting the other when you draw one.
I like to run Worlds Greatest Criminal Mind to deal with Tamatoa or any other target with a big Queen quest; that requires 2 characters on the opponent's side though.
I would only play 1, not both.

It’s not going to do nearly as well. Lantern is a permanent resource.

On your list there is no benja in your video there is however. Do you run benja or smee or both in your lanterns build?

Has a very bad match against ruby saphire but if you keep/got the right hand you can handle it
Based on this do you feel that any Emerald variant just has no chance against steelsong?
All Emerald variants will struggle against Steel Song. Ursula ripping a song usually won’t do enough.

Thank you for making this. I just switched from RP to steel song. I’m currently trying to figure out what variant to use. I like flutes, but I’m thinking pride lands might be stronger. Lanterns is fun to play as well.
Does any decent list have 3 flute 3 lantern?
Not that I’ve seen. You definitely do not want to run both.
