For a slight optimization, I think the solar transformer is better than coldsteel heart in this deck: I don't think you'll be using the 3 energies that often and the extra colorless seems useful.
You just love to see any of the Titans finally emerge (he-heh) onto the battlefield to completely change the tide of battle. Quite thematic and lore-accurate as well! P.S. Props to the second opponent, using Demonic Tutor for such a play was very cool and gutsy!
I have played against this deck a lot, it feels like this and new Ulamog are the two decks the matchmaker likes giving my colorless Ugin The Ineffable deck. Honestly I feel like Ugin is still the best colorless commander tho on account of mana cheating
Definitely considered them, although tricky to choose which ones. We likely still want enough shocklands to have consistent untapped mana and if we go half and half it will make in-game decisions quite difficult to sequence perfectly. Could see cutting some of the black shocklands (already cut Godless Shrine) in favor of some surveil lands, since I rarely found myself wanting to fetch black mana. The drawback being that our black fetches also become a little weaker.
Awesome video! I've been wanting to play with the eldrazis in brawl more, would love to see your take on a deck using Herigast as the commander and make use of emerge
I managed to beat a nadu deck earlier by using his scute swarm against him. I kept targeting and made so many scutes that his client crashed and he timed out
Wow I expected an Ulalek decklist but not so soon. I made my own yesterday and our lists are so different, aside from the eldrazi. Why not run cards that let you cast for free like make your own luck or emergent ultimatum? Do you not like running artifact search for forsaken monument, do you think it's too slow?
You could run Moonsilver Key, but we have enough quality ramp that we don't need Monument specifically to cast our Eldrazi. Emergent Ultimatum is a bit of a nonbo with Eldrazi since they're colorless, not monocolored. Make Your Own Luck could be a fun addition, although it does coincide with the cmc of our commander, so 5 mana cards aren't in very high demand generally.
49:07 you have exact lethal. Swing with everything, they can block two things and take 10, you sac whatever Nadu blocks to hit them for 2. You have 9 eldrazi and 6 mana left, they're at 10 life, so you can just sac 4 spawns and sac the remaining 5 eldrazi.
I would probably play the new Desert instead, but simply need enough colored sources and already had 40+ lands. Could see cutting some of the black shocklands, since we don't search for them very often.
Dang, you missed a pretty sick line of killing your opponent at 24:37 by casting the Elder Deep Fiend with the pump triggers on the stack, doubling them all up with Ulalek's ability. Didn't end up mattering but would've been pretty cool!
@@Zevox144 I guess it can simply be explained as: Its an eldrazi. What it do? Eldrazi stuff Why is it like that? Because Ulamolly and Kozackary decided to exist at the same time and it happened.
thank you for the colorless mana suggestions they helped! haha my deck is built kinda different, got a few infinite mana combos (Guantlet of light on Faeburrow Elder, also Basking Broodscale + Cathar's Crusade or Ajani's Welcome + Cleric Class Level 2) ) plus infinite bounce and cast triggers (Portal of Sanctuary + Prototype portal + Tezzeret Master of the Bridge making them free)
Can this deck compete with Atraxa or Prismatic Pridge or Golos? I notice none of the more competitive decks were featured games in this video. Can you make a part 2 of this? I’ve been watching you since mtg 2015 back on Xbox so I’m a long time fan and subscriber. I’m not hating, just genuinely curious before I drop a LOT of money to buy this brawl deck. Please make a part 2
No chance this can compete with those commanders, but those should also be relegated to the "hell queue". You're very rarely going to get matched up against them, unless Wizards deems Ulalek to be too powerful (which they shouldn't).
anyone know why opponent (first game Uro) would send Uro to the command zone instead of leaving it the graveyard the first time he was cast? seems like a misclick but I'm not sure if there's just something I'm missing
Probably because they didn't have enough cards in their graveyard to cast it again in the near future, so they chose to be able to cast it again without the Escape cost.
Would you say this new Eldrazi deck is fun to play? Also, how different is it from the MH3 precon deck, is it a complete change or is mostly just straightforward upgrades? I'm a new player and that's the first deck I got for myself (TCG), and I see you have a decklist but it's a bit difficult comparing the lists for me since I'm not too familiar with any of the cards to start with haha.
So the paper precon list has access to a lot of cards that aren't available on MTG Arena. In paper there are a lot of powerful cards like Sol Ring, the cycle of Talismans and some of the older Eldrazi that I wasn't able to include in this list. If you're looking for potential upgrades I recommend checking out your commander on the EDHREC website, where you can see what other people tend to include in their deck. The deck is fun when it gets going, but should be better suited for multiplayer games as opposed to 1v1 on MTG Arena, as it takes a little bit to set up and develop your mana to do powerful things. Good luck!
@@LegenVD Thanks so much for the detailed reply, that's very helpful! I would eventually want to probably have 2 versions of the deck I can swap cards in and out of, one which is more 1v1 oriented and one which is more for multiplayer because I mostly play 1v1 commander with my friend and it's a lot rarer for me to play in a group. So, having cards that I can swap in and out to make it more or less multiplayer/1v1 oriented would be awesome. I don't plan on having multiple decks right now because I'm just starting, and I don't plan on spending too much money (famous last words), so I'd rather focus on just one deck that I can tweak when necessary depending on the occasion, if that makes sense.
