This is awesome! It will bring fame and tourists to OKC. It will help the reputation of American skyscrapers. 34 years ago, the ten tallest skyscrapers in the world were in The USA. Now, skyscrapers in Asia are taller and more spectacular than American ones. The Legends Tower will counter that.
People are already going to Oklahoma City. It’s very affordable and most of the people that I’ve work with moved from other states.. The Olympics will be there in 2028..
20mil people visit OKC every year, 5mil visit the win star casino, 9mil visit Tulsa, OKC is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, being one of only 14 cities to grow 100k from 2010-2020. OKC is expected to grow by 500k in the metro by 2040. OKC is hosting the softball and canoe Olympics for 2028. The tallest tower in the world being built in Dubai, tripled its growth rate and skyrocketed its tourism, Dubai wasn’t a popular or big city when it was built, and now all because of a tower it is. Same thing can happen to OKC. OKC is literally a more popular and bigger city than Dubai was when they built the burj khalifa. 60 years ago Vegas wasn’t a place you would want to go, now it’s one of the first places you’d want to go. Rn you may say this about OKC, but in the future it could be the next destination.
@@-OAK- That's not a lot of people. I also wonder how many of those people are just visiting for family or being priced out of Texas and California to move there. Also, for a city with a land area of 606.48 sq mi, that's really not that impressive in population. The difference is that Dubai is in a great location to make it an international city and has a lot more than just the Burj Khalifa. As well as Vegas' proximity to LA. I'm glad you're optimistic, but I doubt it on the scale you're thinking.
