I am a women from a village from dalit community studied in a Lutheran primary school from Mayiladuthurai district. Worked as a reputed CSIR scientist , received awards and honours from Indian and international government.Aged 70 yrs. My parents and many people in the village were able to study atleast primary education.This village was respected by nearby villagers
Most of the people are still Hindus only. Nobody was ever forced to convert. After primary education these children were helped to join nearby High
schools run by them . They are well placed. This is because of the sacrificial love of those missionaries for humanity .

1859 ஆம் ஆண்டு துவங்கப்பட்ட பெண்கள் கல்வி நிறுவனம்.
Pl talk about the nun mother Rose of Madurai who started school and college there for girls many many decades ago,(St.joseph ' s and Fatima College)though she was not an Indian by birth. The first principal of Fatima college was a brahmin lady who was straightforward, strict and a good administrator. She remains a hindu . She retired before some decades ago. No one tried to convert her. We should rever the selfless souls such as Mother Rose, who is dead and buried in Madurai and lived for the noble cause of girls ' education. She used to go from house to house to get the girls come forward to study in the starting days. Don't underestimate the sacrifice of such great people whe endured insults while doing their work.

This is also history.today also most of the schools, colleges hospitals services and orphanages old age homes in all' over India serve by mostly catholic fathers and sisters. God bless them all.

By walk we have to go
After many difficulties our team reached.but my heart broken
No toilet facilities no hospital
But I saw a foreign missionary was buried there.that people said she died because of malaria fever I forgot name.
