Thanks for showing your process. I just got a Vevor Hat Press and haven't used it yet, but I wear hats everyday and kind of looking forward to what I can do, so my hats are fun.
PTL so happy you are doing so well! Thanks for sharing all you learn.
Thanks 😊
Definitely loved the interruption clip. I was curious about pulling the sweat band back before pressing, until the interuption.
Yes pull it back
You're the reason I bought one! It just came in today. Thanks for the video!
That’s awesome 😎
Looking forward to getting our hat press. Thank you for great step by step walk through!
Heck yeah. Thanks for watching.
Glad to we got to see you again, too.
😃
Well, heck. There goes my Friday morning coffee!
Glad you were able to get the press working! Sad to her that the customer service at Vevor is in flux.
Good luck with all the changes.
Yeah I hit the wrong button when putting the video up. 🤷♂️
@@laserengravingwithmatt 🤣🤣🤣👌
I love that you put a 🇨🇦 link for me to follow! Keep up the great work! 👊
Totally Love your videos🎉!!!! So glad i found you💥💯
Thanks 😃
Awesome Matt thanks for your time 👍
Thanks for watching 😃
@@laserengravingwithmatt always I’m a small laser engraver /sublimation company so your videos are very helpful 👍
I have watch a lot of hat press video. Where is everyone getting the leather patches from?
I get them from JDS
lol..........omg made my day with your reveal ha ha Great video learning and laughing ......Thanks for all your hard work.
😁 thanks
If your gonna get serious about hats get a Hotronix 360 IQ hat press by Stahls, you wont crease or ruin any hats, and your hat game will be next level
😢 I've got this cheap one and the corners peel up and it makes a crease.
You got the Hevor, Hebor, hat do dad thinga majiggy. . That is a slick little machine. I'll say, my only experience with Vevor was spot on. Customer service helped out right away. Now, can I do what I do or do what is said or you said or I heard someone said?
😂. Yes they are awesome. 🤣
What kind of paper did you put in the middle of the hat and press when pressing the patch.
It’s linked in the description
Matt, it didn't look like it, but do you clean soot from the patch before application to the hat? Do you coat the final patch in any way? I'm using a diode laser and going to make some patches for our family reunion in July. Thanks for the video.
No and no. That’s awesome 😃
I bought one because of you lol
👍😃 hope you get a ton of hat orders.
@@laserengravingwithmatt thank you Sir!
Thanks for the video's on this press, I ordered one off of them. When you preheat, do you let it heat the same length of time as you would to do the patch?
All you need is 15 seconds per heat. Use 300 heat and 30 seconds and the patch does not come off in the wash.
@@laserengravingwithmatt Awesome! Thank you!
Absolutely 😃
I read your comment about 300 degrees for 30 seconds. Do you preheat at 300 degrees also? 15 seconds?
No need
Do yoyndo patches of other material ? Im trying embroidered patches and just curioua if you have experience witht them? What temp and for how long ? I bought this press after seeing your videos . Keep up the great work
I have some to be put one just haven’t done them yet.
I ordered this same hat press…then someone told me “you should have got the one that heats on bottom and top” so now they got me wondering. What’s your thoughts?? Thanks.
I was told the same thing but haven’t had any issues yet and the one that heats from the bottom is 1800.00
😱😳
I’ll just stick with this one and use your preheat trick. 😂
I just got this press the other day, waiting on some leather to show up so i can start making hats! what do you preheat to and how long? and what size pad did you use for the trucker hats? 270 degrees i saw for a heat setting for the patch and how many seconds are you doing?
Thanks!
Now I do heat 300 and 25 seconds
Did the machine smoke when you first used the machine- I just returned one because it was smoking and it started irritating my eyes - just curious
Yes a little bit. It has a oil substance on the heating pad
Cool hats, but where im from nobody puts that kind of hat on their head😂
😂
Hi, thanks for video 🙂 how can you adjust the pressure of the press?
Nope
You mentioned about your exhaust fan once but I can’t find it. Which model and is it strong enough if you run multiple lasers at the same time? Loud level? Thanks.
th-cam.com/video/n68YmBwR-F8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=M8w-PoQnSeqQBhEE
What size heating plate should i use for trucker hats?
I use the middle one
Are you warming up at 270 for 15 seconds, and then putting on the patch and doing 270 for 15 seconds? Thanks for your help.
300 at 30 seconds warm up the first one then good to go.
Every time I use my heat press it's leaving wrinkles in my hats
You must be doing something wrong I am still using mine and I don’t have wrinkles in mine.
I'm kind of the reverse of you, got into hats and now I am getting into lasers. Picked up a K40 a month ago, do you think that is capable enough to cut leather hat patches?
Nice. I don’t know it might be on the edge if it can or not.
Have you use the other Vevor press that isn't the automatic up and down model? if so, did you like to or not?
No but I know a couple of people that do and they like it.
I have one and use it. Only problem I have had was that the teflon coating on the upper heated platen started to come off on the front edge, which can cause a hot spot, But a thin silicone sheet over the patch takes care of that.
Where do you get your hat patches? What time and temp do you press them at?
270. 20 or 25 seconds
JDS
How often can you use the Teflon paper on the hats??
I have been using the same one for a long time now.
What heat and time settings do you use just got this hat press
300 and 30
@@laserengravingwithmatt Thank You! Also how do you keep the creases out?
I don’t get creases. Might have to adjust your bottom pad, so when it presses down, it’s just right next to the bill like an 8th inch gap.
How do you keep the crease off the hat? I’m having that issue
I don’t get creases. Have you tried changing the pads?
@@laserengravingwithmatt just bought a magic eraser and no more creases
@@laserengravingwithmatt Sorry, totally not being rude, but you hat had a crease when you took it off. It is there vertical on the side that does not have a patch. Right when you remove it, you can see it. Take a look.
How do you go about getting your hat orders?
They all have been local orders.
Did you sew your own patch or did you buy it that way?
I get them from JDS. That’s the way they come if you choose that.
@@laserengravingwithmatt Thank you.
Also, looks like it made a crease in the front of the hat. I have been reading about this. Do you find this happening a lot?
No if you lay it in there right and use the right bottom pad that doesn’t happen
@@laserengravingwithmattwell I sort of liked that model, but I ended up getting the manual model so I would have more control of the pressure. Thanks.
@@bigfranksworld Thats where I am right now, manual or not, what do you mean you can control the pressure, how does the manual allow you to control the pressure?
@@melknee4757 It has a knob on the top of the machine that lest you adjust the pressure.
There is no knob on this machine
Do your patches ever pull off when the hat gets wet from sweat?
No. I need to make a new video with the settings how I do it now because you can’t wash it off.
@@laserengravingwithmatt that would be awesome! Cause I'm having issues with the jds patch pulling off if someone sweats in the hat.
What are your settings?
@@laserengravingwithmatt 270 degrees for 20 seconds. 😢
☀️ *Promosm*
you didn't move yet ???
