Was watching the news this morning and heard them talk about someone winning a million on Wheel of Fortune. When they said the name "Sarah M." a teacher from Silver Spring MD I instantly recognized her as my eighth grade geometry teacher. Congratulations Ms. M. I cannot think of a more worthy teacher than you!
yes that is how the puzzles work after they give you the original letters, you try to guess it from there and then choose your letters based on what you think it is, she was right! i'm so old i remember when they didn't give you rstln e it was just the letters most people chose !
I think the little boy screamed the loudest. I loved their reactions. I almost felt like I won a million dollars $$$$$$$$$ let's see a new car a better home and I'm broke again. I wake up and have nothing.
You know what you have to do to win that ? ....... 7 steps. Hit the million wedge, guess a correct letter, solve that puzzle, never hit bankrupt during rest of show, win the most amount of money on the show, spin it to that exact placement of the million dollar card on the tiny wheel, and guess the final puzzle. Niiiice ! ;-)
@Eva K i am not young, and i do make money, my comment is in reference that i have bills and children and it all goes to that... so to have $10 for me to do and spend on what i please is excitement... im neither expensive nor hard to please... with my $10 id hit up the dollar store and go crazy...
When Pat revealed the prize, I shouted "SHE GOT IT!!", scaring everyone in the room, including my 5-month-old son, who I was rocking, he woke up then fell right back to sleep. What a win, congratulations!!!
i'm surprised he didn't build anyt suspense like he usually does (usually when a big win like this happens you can instantly figure out what the contestant won simply by the way Pat talks.)
***** Have you ever taught?...Do you have a family? Imagine dealing with kids everyday of your life and most of them don't give any respect to adults.....both my parents were teachers for 20 years and my dad has been for 35 and he spends more time working then many people who "work more" his summers are constantly full of school work so why don't you grow up and try it yourself before you start talking crap...
***** Most teachers actually work 11 months out of the year and do not get much in the way of annual leave that they can use during the year... You're clearly uneducated on the matter (something I find odd for a 13-y/o college student).
Zachary Crooks Its like any job, the salary and benefits are based on the income of the location you are at. If you get a job as a teacher in a run-down Detroit high school. of course you will get paid little and work more. If you get a job in a thriving metropolis or area with large income, your life is going to be pretty good. Whether or not you are willing to migrate to a new location is the main factor.
***** It's okay Pubs, 90% of teachers I know are self righteous cunts. They think the world owes them a fucking debt of gratitude because of their profession. Yet, they CHOSE this path and still figure they're okay to complain? Most people work hard at work, but it's ONLY the teachers that will tell you about how hard they work. The rest of us just know its what we have to do to get by. I mean, if I got two reading weeks or a march break, Christmas AND summer off, I'd complain my ass off too. Tough life.
***** I know teachers who work the whole summer, and stay until 9 every night. Have you ever tried teaching a class room full of kids? I don't think so. Shut your mouth.
I just noticed the girl on the right side of the frame while the family members were being introduced. Her reaction and facial expressions when she realized she was on camera cannot be unseen lol.
I couldn’t think of the word “laughter” I kept saying “lighter” in my head and if that was me, I’d never forget how close I was to my life being changed forever and that would honestly probably make me depressed
Because she's a normal regular person, much like you, and she participated on a game show and not just won, but won big. While you're very happy for her (as I am too) it makes us feel like something to that wonderful could happen to us one day as well. So it's happiness combined with hopefulness that makes us emotional.
The average public school teacher salary in the US during the 2021 school year was $65,090, almost $90,000 in New York. They receive great health benefits and pensions too.

The rarity of such a moment is worth each and every praise. The criteria for getting 1 Million Dollars are the following: You have to land on the Million dollar wedge, it’s 1/3 all other spaces. Guess a correct letter. Solve the Puzzle. Win the most money across all rounds. Spin the wedge on the final wheel. Solve the last Puzzle. Six difficult requirements, especially with other talented Puzzle Solvers competing against you. Kudos to her!!
It's more like this: 1. Land on the tiny wedge on the big wheel 2. Guess a letter actually on the board 3. Don't ever land on "Bankrupt" 4. Beat the other two contestants 5. Land on the million on the bonus wheel 6. Solve the bonus puzzle (always a hard one) So... yeah. It's a momentous occasion for a reason.
Yep. 7 hurdles to jump through for the million, so it's quite fair. 1. Land on the teeny tiny wedge on the big wheel (literally 1 space wide, vs. other wedges which are 3 wide, and is also sandwiched by 2 Bankrupts) 2. Guess a letter in that puzzle 3. Win that round 4. AVOID ALL BANKRUPTS for the rest of the show 5. Beat the other 2 contestants 6. Land on the wedge containing the $1M card 7. Solve the bonus puzzle That's about as fair as they can make it considering it's a $1M prize. And they did a really good job with it given that only 3 people have won the million bucks on that show.
Imagine Pat opens the card and says, “Oh, look what we have here. You just won Spiritual Serenity and Philosophical Consciousness. Congratulations, the remainder of your life will be filled with content and peace.” Her reaction would be something we’d pay a million dollars to see.
Love watching people win big! My favorite episode was when this woman with extreme bad luck entered the final spin with no money. She was first in the final round as time ran out, called for a T with no other letters present and each one was valued at $5,000 each. With $35,000 she went to the bonus round and won a Corvette!
i feel those who would allow the market dynamism to determine when to trade or not are either new in space in general or probably just naive, the sphere have seen far worse times than this, enlightened traders continue to make good use of the dip and pump even acquiring more equities towards trading sessions, l'd say that more emphasis should be put into trading since it is way profitable than hodling. I love the show, but I always hold my breath when Vanna walks on for fear she'll trip on the hems of those long gowns and take a fall.
