Excellent tour of the island town. I can see how you both stay in shape, start early am(sunrise) bike around, climb the lighthouse, bike to the restaurant(much farther than expected) then bike all the way back to get "home" to your boat by sunset. Definitely burning more calories than you took in for the day. Enjoy all your videos.
I'm watching this again and I can't help but notice how smoothly you guys walk and pan the camera.....my camera output jigs and jives all around the place.....outstanding job of filming.....and picking unobtrusively the background music.

The lighthouse is absolutely amazing, thanks for sharing your visit. The name you were looking for was the Elbow Reef Lighthouse Society (ERLS) 🙂❤️👍🏽 In 2019 the lighthouse outbuildings were badly damaged buy Hurricane Dorian. The light was out for a while but with lots of hard work done by many amazing people, the light station was repaired and the light shone bright again. 🙂👍🏾🐿🌈❤️ In 2021 the ERLS was a joint recipient, (along with the Elbow Reef Foundation) of a restoration grant through the U.S. State Departments “Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation”. So..... Yeee-haaaaw! ❤

What beautiful surroundings. The bicycles are an awesome tool for exploration. The scene showing Niki transiting back to asphalt reminded me of an accident we witnessed in Yorktown, VA. A lady not wearing a helmet was riding downhill. She lost control and struck her head, ending up in the road against the curb with her family following behind. I love your adventures and never want to see you post an accident. Helmets please.
Hope Town is our favorite cruising destination in the Abaco's. Glad you stopped here. Also it is a really safe harbor during gale force weather systems. I'm enjoying you Abaco videos! Great job!

That palette of water colors does not get old... too right. I love that they have kept the light house going with the original fuel. The fist knobs on the "Alice in Wonderland" door were totally cool and fit your name for it!

Excellent video guys, captured the feel of the place nicely. I personally love lighthouses and anything marine so it was a great tour of the lighthouse for me.
This is Tex's wife. Viewing your video brought back a slew of memories! I remember I was about 13 when my parents and I flew into Marsh Harbor, took a water taxi to Hope Town and then another water taxi to Man-O-War Cay, where we spent a couple of weeks. I did not spend a lot of time at Hope Town, just remember the lighthouse and hearing the radio operator on the water taxi calling Hope Town Harbor Lodge and the H's were not pronounced. Man-O-War was awesome! I became friends with two girls on the island, Barbara and Sandy Albury, who were cousins. Most everyone was related on the island and had something to do with the shipbuilding business. Sandy's parents ran the marina and the restaurant, the Dock and Dine. I loved the spiny lobster, conch chowder and how most everything was flavored with the wild oranges that grew on the island which were sour. Besides roaming around the island, shelling and sailing around with the girls the other thing I remember the most was a day I went to school with them in the one room schoolhouse. We sang God Save the Queen and everything was so British! I hope you get a chance to visit Man-O-War Cay.
No video or photo can really show what its like to experience Hope Town. On my first visit, I knew exactly what Jimmy Buffett meant in his song "First Look."
Nice to see the town has remained pretty much as it was when we visited it 35 years ago. Hope you'll also head over to 'Man of War' as well so you can check and see if there's still a cute place where they sell ice cream. They also used to build traditional sailing dinghy's there as well. BTW, the water there is even more spectacular then it appears, if that's possible. Reef on ocean side is also a great place to snorkel/dive, but you'll want a wet suit if you're going in the winter.

I love the rocking of a boat in 30 mph winds. The crusier at 14:11 is a lot like one I owned during the first half of the 2000's.

Ray's Place at the Lodge is a cool little bar. The other public dock is right down stairs and across the street.
Hope Town is fun. I hope you make it to Pete's Pub. Love that area but the Exumas are our favorite place to boat in the Bahamas. Enjoy!
