I think the toastie proposal is actually really sweet. Not everyone wants a big, public proposal and getting a totally out of left field proposal when you order your usual takeaway on a random night in was probably quite a nice moment.

I once came across a sarcastic "5-star" review on a newly built Taco Bell here in Canterbury, in which the user "John Wick" claimed that he gave it five stars because the manager "Juan" "gave [him] the best head of [his] life" and "kid friendliness: Juan said he did kids too". That really made my day.

1:46 NO disrespect to a possibly happy couple but if someone proposed to me through a *TOASTIE TAKEOUT STYROFOAM CONTAINER* they ordered from a local place I'd be evaluating my life choices. I genuinely hope it worked cause to do such a thing takes balls and it could really be a positive move but sweet Jesus that's such a weird way to ask someone to spend your entire lives together.

For those who don't know, Chicago Town is a brand of frozen pizza in the UK (British DiGiorno). So what they did was buy frozen pizza at their market, and are re-selling it as a menu item as if they made it themselves...

2:55 Only time I've ever left a review was for a local family run kebab shack after a few mates and I went to a pub, got a bit tipsy and started talking about getting some spirits. Mate next table said "Nah mate you just need a pint and went and bought me one. I told him I'll remember the chap and buy him a bev next time. He just said "Nah, you know that Kebab shack up the road, buy a kebab and give us an honest review" so I did the next day and it was pretty fucking good after a decent day at work...bet I could put it through a brick wall the bastard was so packed with shit. So yeh....enjoy the story to the 3 people who got to the end.

For anyone still wondering:
"Mannerisms" are behavioral quirks, like touching your nose when you lie or coughing when embarrassed. Gesticulations and the like probably also fall into this category.
"Manners" is a word that refers to the ability to behave politely or formally, in order to be accepted by others. Mostly used to complain about people who allegedly lack "proper manners".
The two words likely share some common root, but are not synonyms and thus should not be used interchangeably. Find the one you want, and use it - not the other.

I used to go to a sandwich shop like 'garys'. It was open when they bothered to open it and did the best goddamn steak, cheese and onion sandwiches I've ever tasted. If a business has random opening times and is still running, theres usually a damn good reason they havent run out of business.

One time I was wondering why my food was taking so long went downstairs and I had left my front door open and instead of the delivery driver knocking on the open door they had just came into my house and left the bag of food on my kitchen bench 🥲 I was baffled my dog didn’t even make any noise either which is even more confusing as my dog has literally bitten an Asda man before and is rlly yappy
Maybe your dog got some treats or extra food from the delivery =)

I live in Hounslow, and once had a pizza on whose packaging was a Sloppy Giuseppe type character against a stylised Italian tricolore flag. Given that the demographics of Hounslow seems to be largely south Asian, I wonder whether the character would more properly be called a Sloppy Jawaharal, after the first leader of Pakistan, Nehru.

someone gave my dad a 1 star review saying it was terrible but it was closed for lockdown and they werent doing delivery cause its a local pub
My local shop let me off when I was a bit short for some lager because I was skint. So I left them a good review.

5:13 I was at SubWay when the counter got held up by some kid with a knife, likely something happened along the lines of here, i was alright i just stayed calm but these things happen, if that was held up with a knife imagine America...
Once ordered a pizza from Dominoes... Always had tipped them prior (and never pennies).
The Pizza i ordered was a simple Margaretta... what i got was cooked dough... No cheese, no tomato sauce... just cooked dough. Told there customer service and they said i was lying and they were not going to do anything. So i took a photo and posted it on Twitter... got a very different tone from their customer service then... i told them to get lost.
Never getting custom from me again.

One time I ordered a soup to-go and I was given most of the ingredients but no SOUP. They charged full price and although the manger offered to pay for the soup next order, he didn't.
