19:40 Kind of heart breaking to realise the reason those Chinese women's all had a spark in their eyes and a real interest in the conversation is because they can't speak or write in English -- effectively they were isolated in a world where everyone else converses in English. They couldn't converse with their customers even if they wanted to. To them, hearing Chinese from an American opened a new world and a new way to interact with "foreigners" they serve everyday.

    1. The Indonesian lady actually said " Learning Indonesian language is EASIER than English" not "much better"
    Gampang = Mudah = Easy.
    LEBIH Gampang = EasiER
"Gampang" is the slang word of "Mudah" ( formal form )
Too MANY / MUCH = terlalu BANYAK
    2. The part when you two talking about the kind of languages in Indonesia, she said "SUNDA, and ASMAT in JAYAPURA" ( Papua Province )
    3. 27 provinsi = province ( equivalent to "state" )
It was 27 provinces, but now there are 35 provinces.
    4. "Dari Sabang sampai Merauke" = Sabang is the most western City in Indonesia while Merauke is in the most eastern part.
    5. Javanese language consists of 3 stages...
the 1st stage = "Ngoko" = usually used when you're talking to someone younger than or same age as you. Can also be used to some one you're close to.
the 2nd stage = "Kromo" = usually used when you're talking to a stranger which considered the same age as you.
the 3rd stage = "Kromo inggil" = usually used when you're talking to someone way older than you or some one respected ( leaders etc )
    6. "Thank you" in Javanese is "Matur Nuwun" not "mantonua"
    7. She lived in "Surabaya" ( East Java province )
    8. "Money" ----> Formal form = "Uang" ; Javanese = "Duit" ( as the lady said )
    9. 08:06 : "Soalnya di Indonesia penghasilan dapetnya dikit yah, pengeluaran banyak, mahal" ; " Di Indonesia sekolah bayar semua, di sini gak bayar, dokter gak bayar, melahirkan gak bayar. Di sana semua bayar " ; "Di sini orang cacat dapat dari government, duit, di sana tidak." ; "Orang cacat di-'take-care' sendiri sama keluarga."
09:02 : "Sebetulnya, soalnya kalau di Indonesia kerja cuma delapan jam. Delapan jam kerja. Indonesia.
11:08: "Di Indonesia, 'the', anak-anak muda bilang, kalau wanita cewek"
    To Moses :
    A. If you are interested in learning Indonesian, contact me in discord.gg/zsaJm7f ( look for "Mirza [IDN]" ). I am a Chinese Indonesian which live in East Java since birth. I'm fluent in Indonesian, Javanese, and English. I will help you FOR FREE. NO HIDDEN SHIT.
    B. Important hint : When you're addressing someone ( adult strangers ), use "Anda" instead of "Kamu" . It's more polite.
"Kamu" is usually used to address people who is way younger than you are ( for example, kids ), and someone you already knew before / close to you. But when addressing adult strangers, use "Anda" instead.

    ethnic javanese language:
05:19 not "Mantonua", but "matur nuwun" in bahasa indonesia "terima kasih"
07:48 not "Ardoh", but "Arto" in bahasa indonesia slang "duit", official bahasa indonesia "uang"
hei! you speak bahasa indonesia, wow...at least 1700 ethnic language exist in indonesia, one to others almost completely different. that why we need another language (bahasa indonesia) to talk between different ethnic. most indonesian naturally can speak 2 language, ethnic language and bahasa indonesia. for educated indonesian, at least can speak 2 ethnic language (usually you have to go to different city to go to college, that why almost collage student can learn another ethnic language), bahasa indonesia and english.
respect to you man, you can speak so many language...

You don't have to say "wanita/adult woman" to your daughter,,she said "cewek" it means was younger than "wanita" . And if she said "kamu dari mana? " you should say " I've been at home, or you can say "I've been around" and so on, kamu dari mana = where have you been ?, but if she say "asal kamu mana ?" You can say ,,i'm american or ohio. And you don't have to say too much in bahasa "terlalu" you can say " banyak banget"

4:03 she said indonesia has 27 provinces (34 actually but oh well)
    provinsi : province
    pulau : island
4:50 she said there are 'soft' javanese, the original one which is used by the monarchy and the 'rough' variant (spoken in east java). it's just dialect
8:04 "in indonesia the income is minimal but outcome is big, expensive. you have to pay for every school in indonesia, here we are not paying for school, we are not paying for doctor, we are not paying to give birth, there, everything (you have to) pay. here, the disabled got paid by the government, there, no, they have to pay for themselves, their families.
9:02 "actually, because in indonesia we only work for 8 hours, here we work for 11 hours, this mall 11 hours, we're standing hehehe it's pretty tiring. (i'm just) trying (to work here), if i don't like i can go back to indonesia. there, actually if we open a stall like this it's gonna sell well (laku not waktu), as long as you can cook. there cooking is hard, there are a lot of spices, but what do we have here? hahah. there, you know the spices, the javanese spices there are a lot of it, the food is better there, here it's only salty and hot, sweet."
