- DC and Marvel despite being rivals, believe it or not, they recognize each other's qualities and competence. And the proof of that is in the fact that both DC and Marvel have several similar characters. This means that the two companies draw inspiration for their creations from each other. The problem sometimes is that some characters are simply not inspired by others. Some become direct copies. Many times it even seems like they simply changed some details in the character just to avoid having to go to court. And since you guys loved the first part, and asked for more, i had no choice but to follow your orders. You guys run this channel for sure. So for those of you who asked, here it is the 2nd part of the biggest copycats between Marvel and DC. Lets GO!!!

Actually, before Marvel introduce Quicksilver there was a character called Wizzer similar to Flash. Also he's father of Wanda and Pietro, but later revealed he's not.
Whizzer was also a copy of the Flash.

Dr. Strange wasn't inspired by Dr. Fate. Strange was inspired by Chandu the Magician - a popular radio show and also film from the 1930's.

Catwoman - Black Cat, Doom Patro l- X-Men, Dormammu - Trigon, Vigilante - Punisher, Superman - Hyperion...I can think of a couple more.

Also, if you want to add some more weight onto the argument as to whom came first, Dr. fate appeared in comic books in the 1940's. Where as, as stated in the video, Dr. Strange first appeared in 1963. Also, Stan Lee wrote in Origins Of Marvel Comics, or Son of Origins of Marvel Comics, he was inspired to create Dr. Strange because he listened to a radio program in the 1940's called "Chandu the Magician." Also, there was King Features, "Mandrake the Magician" by Lee Falk, whom used to appear in the Sunday Comics and sometimes in Comic books too. And here's where it gets real interesting, DC used to publish in Action Comics, the same comics that Superman first appeared in Zatara the Magician, whom was later revealed to be the father of Zatanna the Magician. An editor @ DC admitted years later that Zatara the Magician was really a copycat of Mandrake the Magician. It's a wonder Lee Falk didn't sue DC?!

I always read from both DC and Marvel (and Golden Key 😁) while many of my friends were adamantly one or the other. I just liked to read good stories no matter who published them.

I say it depends on which company created such character first there much one copied from other.
There are moments when quicksilver was faster than flash. For example in Xmen the past future (2014), in the octagon where they broke into to release magneto, quick silver easily catches bullets, even without running, he just speed walked, and the bullets looked suspended in air, moving very slowly.
In flash, the seasonal movie (2016) flash struggles to catch a bullet that was about to hit Joe and iris.
The only way to conclude who is faster is for both of them to race. Period!

Eternals fights were better than Justice League fight scenes, Marvel gave us the Ikarus vs Makari (where DC flopped with the Superman vs Flash) and the Thena vs Ikarus fight (DC again flopped and gave us a crying Wonder Woman: "Kal El remember who you are" then ended 2 headbutts later).
Too much muscle isn't that great and I'm a DC fan... please DC write a story and stop focusing on defying physics!

Hero mirrors both sides of the same coin. Doctor Strange is a master of magic while Doctor Fate is a creation of Order his abilities are magic based yet but his helmet is the source of these powers and he wasn't the first to wear that helmet and its origins are interestingly connected to Nth Metal and other rare materials that are said to be connected to the origins of life in the multiverse. Doctor Strange and Fate are similar to humans in origins but Stephen Strange was a Doctor of medicine whereas Fate is human and his origins were retold numerous times and it is believed his family were connected to Fate's helmet via an ancient god of Order and Chaos and it is also possible Fate has another variant in Marvel not just Strange one with a touch of the supernatural Moon Knight an Egyptian connection and similar story involving amulets and mystical weaponry. Fate is more similar to Moon Knight as the mental health conditions and the simplicity of the Egyptian gods and Hawkeye designed Moon Knight weapons.
Green Arrow also has a connection to Doctor Fate as both are the same age and were around a lot longer in DC Comics Fate originally had very magical powers back in early stages of his creation he use most notably his wits and some knowledge of magic it eventually is triggered a little later about the helmet when he is injured and the helmet take over his mind and that thing its the helmet that is Doctor Fate not the wearer. Doctor Strange is the guardian of Earth's mystical portals and mystical powers and his in control of that power his the host but in control of those powers.

Listing Darkseid/Thanos and Challengers of the Unknown/Fantastic Four are logical fallacies... they aren't ripped off/copied from one another... a writer can't copy themself. Jack Kirby created all of them, the resemblance is because Jack's fingerprints are all over them. The New Gods/Apocalips are similar to the Eternals/Deviants because they are all Kirby Designs, all based on Greek Mythology.
Green Arrow/Hawkeye are both Robin Hood with Gadgets, except Oliver is Lord Robin of Loxley (Wealthy Noble aiding the people) while Clint is the King of Thieves (Outlaw doing good).
Also should remember that some characters aren't DC, they are properties DC bought or stole from other companies... any character made before the 60s besides Batman and Superman (Flash, Atom, Wonder Woman, Plastic Man, The Question, Captain Marvel aka Shazam, Blue Beetle, Green Lantern, Hawkman, the list is long... National Comics and Detective Comics are National Publications/DC Comics... American Comics was the first company they enveloped, Fawcett Comics tried to avoid being enveloped after the Superman/Shazam lawsuit nearly bankrupt them, but selling Fawcett to Charleston only delayed DC from stealing those characters. If you need proof, why would National need to make Johnny Quick in 1941 if they owned Flash from American in 1940... yeah, Pre-DC copied American Comic's Jay Garrick Flash created in 1940... both would be replaced by Barry Allen in the unified DC Comics in 1956, after a half decade of not using either Scarlet Speedster... always remember, Marvel copies, DC Steals...)

Jack Kirby created both characters, and yes, he duplicated Darkseid to create Thanos.

Thanos and dark side are nothing alike Darkside seaks chaos and power Thanos seaks a balance and to prevent what happened on his home planet from ever happening again he wants there to be harmony and for no one to ever want again these two have nothing in common Darkside just wants people to suffer and to have power when fighting Thanos uses his physical strength and close combat while Darkside mainly uses ranged attacks and spends most fights with his hands behind his back so they think different fight different and let's be honest act and look different I struggle to see any similarities besides their rank and authority in their universes

Fu*q no he's not. Fate is an archeologist who is knowledgeable humble from the begin and wise. He was granted such abilities by being worthy of the helmet. It contains a spirit that bonds to it's host like a symbiotic relationship possessing him ancient dieti abilities. He is far more powerful than strange. I don't level movie verses movie but rather material versus material. We didn't get an origin movie with fate like we did strange so it's not even fair to say strange live action adapted counterpart is better than fate.
But fate is the much better character and his abilities are a mantel. There's been several different characters that have taken on the role of fate.

Really don't like this lists, especially since you make the distinction between inspired by and copycats. You also only talk about Marvel and DC, when, for example, the first stretching hero (Plastic Man) and first shrinking hero (Doll Man) were originally published by Quality comics. Besides, the idea of heroes with powers or special skills did not start with comic books. Magicians? What about Mandrake or even Merlin? Speedsters? Look at the first Flash and tell me that wasn't inspired by Mercury/Hermes. Archers? How about Robin Hood.
