He's always been my favorite member of the X-men. And when he got the Juggernauts powers & became The Unstoppable Colossus, that was an amazing storyline.

Colossus & Wolverine is what made the X-Men cool to me. My older bro claimed Wolverine & I claimed Colossus as my favorite. I was so disappointed that he wasn't really in the X-Men movies.
Colossus is by far my favorite X-Men hero, and it's always good to get a video on him even if most information is repeated! I liked that in this video it was mentioned that he has a resistance to Magic & Electricity as they are usually not mentioned! I think Colossus biggest weakness is the writers! He is an underrated Powerhouse for how popular he is! He always seems to be written as holding back bc he can cause a lot of damage and he is aware of this. But in some cases I think he should be able to let loose! Like if he is fighting through Hulk or Juggernaut, while they are stronger than him, that doesn't mean he can't hang with them! Being able to go blow for blow would only last for so long, but what I think what gives him a chance is his other attributes! He isn't just a heavy hitter, he knows how to fight and throw a punch which would be more effective against physically stronger opp. He's a strong fighter but also a smart one!
Hulk absolutely has the capacity to be stronger, especially over time as his strength mounts due to rage. But, I suppose that also depends on which iteration of Hulk.@IStevenSeagal
I was wondering about that too. Magneto healed his wounds from that fight, and he was stuck in armored form until the entire team was rebooted several years later.
You mention the longest time he stays in is metal form id 5 days and wherever you're getting that from is wrong or limited to some specific run. Back in the 90 when he left the X-men to be and Acolte of Magneto he took a head wound and stayed in his armored from for months until it healed.
Perhaps his most impressive durability-feat was during the first Secret Wars. Even though Doom, with The Beyonder's power, killed him, he wasn't destroyed as utterly as the other heroes were by a massive blast. Therefore, there was enough of him left for a powerful healer to bring back to life.
I forgot Illyana was Piotr's sister. Magik. New Mutants. Demon Bear. That was the best comic. Bill Sienkiewicz. Incredible art and writing. I was a little kid, and that comic just blew my mind. I still have those comics in a box somewhere.

Wasn't there a time that Peter took brain damage and had to stay metal for months? He went with Magneto during this time as an Alcolyte and when he was finally fixed, Cyclops did the surgery and it was found out that when he is in armored form, he builds up a charge that could be an explosion? I so wish i had my collection to find that issue
As all hardcore Marvel and comic book fans in general the newer movies are adapted more to suit the newer generations so they skip a lot of the OG facts. Never the less one thing still remains true and I’m glad this video shows why Colossus is the best of the best when it comes to The Strong Man Super heroes, to where he is highly respected for friend and foe, even mythical beings for his strength of heart and character 🙌🏾

The fold out cover of a Wizard has him holding up a burning building's i-beam while the other X-Men run out. Building presumably falls on him and fires die out. He gets up and walks out. Love that cover.
My first comic was X-Men The Mutant Massacre and good old Pete flipped out and was snapping necks during that story. I thought he was a violent guy as a little kid. Eventually I learned different.

Colossus is easily my favorite X-Men. So sad how he's overlooked in the animated series and most of the movies (big thanks to Deadpool though). You touched on this but one of his biggest attributes is to be nerfed at the writer's discretion. Also, he's always the first one to jump in to die for the team. Seems like he can't wait to sacrifice himself sometimes.. tragically under rated and undervalued as the true brick of the X-Men.
Good, but the magneto power listed is only a part of his actual repertoire, which is as follows. Control of Elements, Magnetism, Energy Manipulation, Flight, Superhuman Intelligence, Superhuman Speed, and creating Force Fields, which altogether are far more dangerous than this makes him out to be. His powers were severely understated.
When reading Colossus as the Juggernaut I really couldn’t tell that he was any more powerful than Classic Juggernaut…. I think Colossus was just more in tune with the powers and better utilized them and it didn’t hurt him being a personal favorite of Cyttorak…. I will always take Cain Marko as classic Juggernaut over Colossus as Juggernaut any day of the week.
Colossus is extremely vulnerable to acid. Strong acid readily dissolves Piotr’s organic steel, and, if he reverts to human form, he will still get burned by the acid.

And sorry he is vulnerable to psychic attacks. Xmen #1 Jean grey stopped him and he was controlled in Amour form by the Shadow King. In Amour form- he doesn’t need food, Oxygen and water to survive

And he'd be able to think and react faster because metal is better conductor or he should be in a vegetable state because any electricity produced would short circuit because none of the metal is insulated inside of his body since it's all metallic
According to Emma Frost, she has an untappdability that could cause explosions similar or more powerful to a nuclear explosion. So thats pretty cool wish they would have explored that more i feel like she could have been an omega level mutant but as far as i know she isnt

Sigorsky of the starjammers found a way to operate on him too, usually in human form but also once in armored.

Colossus is extremely vulnerable to acid. Strong acid readily dissolves Piotr’s organic steel, and, if he reverts to human form, he will still get burned by the acid.
Making him too strong doesn't make sense for balance reasons, but I do think he should be the most resilient.

Bryan Singer Colossus Xmen was the best and underrated, just like Storm.
They did him dirty in the Marvel universe books, aka like the DC uni ones, they put him under the Hulk and
jugg but mentioned he was only 17, he is apex strength to even the Hulk, fought and beat Hulk, Jugg, Gladiator, names names names, plus much much more durable, his skin actually heals faster than wolverine
Hulk was holding back. Hulk eventually broke his wrists in WWH.
This is the one xmen I would want to be if I had a choice of powers. So sick.
He would also have increased vision because his eyes would be receiving more light due to the reflective nature or metal. And he'd be able to think and react faster because metal is better conductor or he should be in a vegetable state because any electricity produced would short circuit because none of the metal is insulated inside of his body since it's all metallic
According to Emma Frost, she has an untappdability that could cause explosions similar or more powerful to a nuclear explosion. So thats pretty cool wish they would have explored that more i feel like she could have been an omega level mutant but as far as i know she isnt
