      Thank you mate! I love this one too, but that’s definitely the goal!

    Any news on the turbo system?

    Mine has 73.268 hp. I have a Wednesday motor. Ha ha ha How long to develop the bolt on upgrade you reckon? Subbed, liked and invested in this project. Question. I have the automatic, how much power do you think it robs?

    • @hd_hayden
      @hd_hayden  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I’m jealous of your 1 HP 🙃 I expect this to take the next 6 months at least mate. Thank you for the sub and like!
      Regarding the auto, it varies on power levels and controllability. They can rob around 30-50hp at around 400hp mark on a diesel, to give you an idea, so let’s call it around 5-10%

    are you able to tune the factory ecu

    • @hd_hayden
      @hd_hayden  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We’ve been able to read it, so technically yes

    It’s not a race car. Once you understand that you will start to understand the Jim y appeal

    • @hd_hayden
      @hd_hayden  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I 100% understand it’s a fun little car that’s not built to go fast, and I’m not trying to build it into a race car either, but I have a huge interest in increasing the overall performance of stock vehicles with turbo kits which has lead to some market leading products over the last 6 years. So to not include this new vehicle I love in that would not make sense.

    Probably better off installing a stock 2 litre engine. Or a small TD diesel.
    Good stuff though.

    • @hd_hayden
      @hd_hayden  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      We aren’t trying to get into engine swaps, we just want to develop a nice simple kit people can utilise to double their power output on a factory engine 🤞

      Fair enough.
      Would be interesting to see a small super charger instead of a turbo on the Jimny too?
      Looking forward to the outcome.

    • @hd_hayden
      @hd_hayden  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@mavericmorph5358We are only really interested in turbocharging, most supercharger technology is out dated in 2024. Plus the use of wasted energy is so much more efficient when it comes to increasing performance, would be interesting to see the difference in the real world though!

    There must be something wrong with the Jimny’s sold in your part of the World. Mine will quite happily sit at 70mph on cruise control or higher speeds if needed. Yet you say you struggle to maintain 62mph (100kph)! Btw a dyno doesn’t measure Horse Power. It measures torque and rpm and then derives Horse Power via an equation. Ie Horse Power is a calculated value rather than a measured one.

    I agree with you the Suzuki Jimny although a sweet little 4X4 our son has one and l drove it and l wonder were the horses power was l thought it was around 100 but its 72 well my wife drives a Suzuki Baleno and it has enough horse power to get it down the road she likes driving it so do l now you were talking about simplicity in motor vehicles well my 1997 Toyota Hilux is much simpler than a Suzuki Jimny it has virtually nothing well the original owner got it optioned out air-conditioning which does work cruise control that doesn't work and a radio cassette player which sort of works and it did have power steering and the high pressure hose was leaking so l removed it and binned it who needs power steering now l started driving in the 1970s and l never had power steering although l owned some vehicles with power steering and a lot without it connects you to the vehicle more and it is manual also getting back to the Jimny it needs more power to describe it as gutless l have asked my son is there anything you can do without voiding it's warranty he said no

      @@hd_hayden l obviously agree with you l do also like Suzuki's but we're they make the Suzuki's in India on the same production line they make the Toyota Starlet a rebadged Suzuki Baleno as far as l know they only sold in South Africa they also sell the Suzuki Baleno in South Africa those South Africans are spoilt for choice

    On the brochure it said 101 HP!!
    What a scam

    • @hd_hayden
      @hd_hayden  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Power quoted on the brochure is different to power output at the wheels as manufacturers quote it at the engine.
