Hey mate yeah I sure did thank you 😂 The stock fuel pump even at 380,000km is normally fine to make that power. Go for a UFI18G, HD +17 injectors, and a Unichip. If the budget is there go for a PDI Intercooler as well, will be different car entirely. Or start with stock turbo; injectors; and Unichip.

I did suggest he could get the unichip installed and tuned with factory turbo and injectors. Then upgrade turbo, injectors, fmic. What would the tune cost second time round after upgrades? Also you suggested the factory airbox suitable to factory injectors. I'm a nissan (with a bit of isuzu thrown in the mix) guy so not familiar with the Toyota stuff. Is the 100 series airbox the same as the 70?
What would you suggest for a 95 FT with the 4 speed A442F auto for ~200HP and ~600Nm ? Your FT ran ~300HP with the 21L yeah? I was thinking PDI intercooler & GTurbo Green, keeping the pump 11mm (but rebuilt) and new genuine injectors, and Nomad valve body for the auto to go with the PDI cooler.
Hey mate So first thing to consider is that the factory pump is already a 12mm fuel pump, but they are limited in stock form to around 180-200hp depending on health of the pump - So all good to go there I would recommend going for a set of high flow 300hp injectors, and pair them up with your stock pump. That’s going to make up the massive fuel difference between what the stock pump can do and how limited the stock injectors are. You will probably not actually have to touch the pump to achieve a safe 200hp/550nm. We offer these exchange or new. I would consider a UFI 16G or GTurbo green wheel. I have both in stock :)

Am I gonna ruin anything by running set up on a stock pump. Just timing the pump enough . Also don’t have a Dyno tune shop around either.

Hey mate The difference between a “pump rebuild” and a performance pump is completely different. I recommend going down the path of having a HD performance pump built, as these use vastly different parts to a stock pump to achieve a safe and reliable 300hp. I have owned an FT in my own vehicle at 300hp for the last 5 years carrying out R&D on these pumps and setups for reference. Paired with a UFI 21L, PDI front mount, HD 300 pump and injectors, this will make 300hp easily
Definitely wouldn’t put this much power through a 5 speed auto, but we offer a nice kit which offers all these parts minus the injectors. We offer a maximum 270Hp injector paired with a custom valve body kit which keeps that A750F alive

Hey mate I really do not recommend the Yanmar pumps. They are underfueled for a performance engine, and deliver very poor performance results in comparison to a built performance pump. There is a lot of differences between a well build performance orientated pump and a standard or rebuilt to standard Yanmar pump. Most I have seen a Yanmar pump push out on the dyno is 220hp, even though people think they’ve bought a “300hp pump” because the Yanmar tag plate says 300hp, but marine applications specify engine power not wheel horse power
Hello, what’s the best way to delete the intake pre heater unit? I have unplugged it so it no longer works, but I can imagine it must be a fairly large restriction of air. Second question, my fte is on 350,000 thousand miles, not km, do you think it’s still safe to continue to push on with, it’s got a very old dastek unichip on it and it’s still sweet.
We have a intake adapter elbow on our website for the 1HD-FTE which deletes the whole cross over section And yeah, we have done them with 700,000km’s and been ok!

Depends what box. If it has the 5 speed auto they won't love that power. The 1hz box also won't love it. The h151 /152 should handle it okay. (Manual from behind these engines and the v8s)
i had a 105 that started life with a 1HZ engine, which has the weak prado box as standard... At first i supercharged the 1HZ and ripped the teeth off the inside of 3rd gear... after the 1HZ blew up and the box rebuild, i built a 195kw 1HDT and never had an issue with the box again, although being a mechanic, i am quite mechanically sympathetic and don't push boundaries that i know may still exist
Its a pre vdj79. The earlier hzj79 and Hdj79's were made from around late 2000 to 2007 I beleive. Similar cab to the 75 but slightly longer behind the doors. Still coil front end, without the wide front diff of the v8's.

Need to order fuel injectors and want over the 300hp should I go for the middle of the range or get the highest hp ones so there not working so hard ? Hey mate First of all thanks from ordering from us! We have a 300hp pump and a 330hp capable FT injector, pumps are being built at the moment and are due to be complete in about two weeks. For now - go with the 300hp injectors. Will work well even with a stock pump mate

This particular build had an 18G with our 300hp injectors, but normally over 320hp I would recommend a 21L

18g ufi vs 21l ufi pros and cons?
No cons to either, but the 18G Is good up to 300hp, where as the 21L will do 360hp, so pick which one is more suitable to your power level.

my hdj78 has the early 1st gen unichip, will most 4x4 performance workshops have the dyno software to suit the 1st gen unichip?
