I'm currently experiencing Halo for the first time. While fighting my way out of the Silent Cartographer "basement," everything started clicking. Combat, gameflow, it all came together. This song started playing and I just started lighting jakcals up. It was FUN all of a sudden! No matter what great missions I play, that moment at 5 AM will always stick in my gaming memories.

I was so young that i didn't play the flood levels apart from a pair becouse they scared me

First a beach head assault, then masses of close quarters combat, and butt puckering moments when invisible fucking aliens were flailing around and trying to kill me... add on the best in game music I've ever experienced... erhmergerd... XD

It's a gridlock, a one verses one scenario.The beloved Master Chief versing the Bane of Speed Runners (That one sword elite on the mission Silent Cartographer.) After a scream or two later, the angry Devil charges at the spartan. He absorbs several MA37 rounds before swinging at the Master Chief. He misses and the frightened green cyborg attempts to outrun him as any other conventional way is obsolete. Chief escapes the tight corridor and proceeds to make enough ground from the monster. Many angry noises can be felt emitting from the buff alien. *Slice* "Wort, wort, wort!", The alien cries. Master Chief lays on the cold metallic ground, it's over. I then make the observation that the game was on Legendary and the Iron Skull was activated, I guess that explains a lot.
