Had this playing while I was creating a character model in blender. Somehow didn’t know what this was from, until my older brother came in and told me. I still remember being FRUSTRATED when I was creating my model, as it wasn’t looking exactly like how I envisioned….until I stopped to listen to this and calmed down

I always thought this theme was so out of place in Dark Souls. It's at first warm, calm and relaxing. It almost feels like your character is still in the world outside Lordran or the Asylum, living in the bliss of life on the outside. Then it gains intensity over time, feeling more epic and potent. Your choices of your character are no longer freeform, but weighty. I suspect this is since most players will spend a while messing with their character's appearance, and the music is timed to increase in intensity as you finalize the more important decisions of your starting items and class.

Motoi Sakuraba is god to creating music like this, thank you for making the music for baten kaitos

One reason I’ll always love ds1 the best, is because of how calming the music is, this track, firelink shrine theme, pricilla boss theme, ash lake, daughter of chaos, and even gwyns boos theme. I remember when I was in school, I’d boot up this game and rest at ash lake bonfire, just to have the music playing in the background, while i did some homework.

Always loved this song, but my brain itches weirdly when there aren't the satisfying "Thrummm" and "Hooooommm..." of moving through the menu to make my character's eye's *just* right

Its weird this isn't my favorite souls but I always miss the game so much for some reason. Whenever I play it it doesn't feel the same. It genuinely hurts, this game is so special to me.

This reminds me a little of Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness (N64). One area had some rather haunting, calming, atmospheric music... IIRC, it was a cave area.

I'm playing through Halo CE for the first time, I hope I can make even half as many memories as some of you must have, leaving the silent cartographer will certainly be one of them
