This song here exemplifies what the game is at its absolute best: the feeling of being an unstoppable badass wearing armour that basically makes you a humanoid tank, charging right into the heart of battle and somehow surviving on pure stubbornness alone. There's a *reason* they're called "Spartans". The gameplay we do have is awesome, so stop wishing it could be something different and be happy, friends. n_n

It might be a Spartan too. In the Halo games the only reason you live so much is because, well it is a game. Spartans though can't actually handle as much as you can in the games though. If you read the books which is based more realistically, Spartans can die rather fast.
i agree with danntor the arbiter missions were tedious not b ecause of the flood but because of the scale and the fact that your rienforcements were pathetic all i have to say my friends who have also played halo 2 to make them shudeder or run for the hills quarrantine zone legendary

The IVs are a direct UNSC branch, not ONI operatives like the IIIs and (originally at least) the IIs were. Some of them do work for the ONI (Pioneer specializations) but the program on a whole is under direct supervision of the UNSC. A couple of them (like DeMarco) are idiots, but most of them are sincerely performing to the best of their capabilities. They're not inherently superhuman like the IIs, but they're still more pro than ODSTs and most of the IIIs (most of whom were not Noble-level).
being stealthy is kinda hard and redundant when you're lugging around a 1000 pound armor and being a frickin bad@ss cuz ha. Now for the practical part, silencers decrease the muzzle velocity of a gun somewhat. in this futuristic scenario, the aliens have plasma shields, even if we have high powered rifles we'd have a hard time killing them, so we need every ounce of firepower we can get. btw people are nagging about what they interpret as you badmouthin halo do to its lack of stealth.
Yes. Absolutely. Camo is useful in multiplayer. There's no point in having it in campaign at all. Enemies don't use motion trackers and the fact that it fades as you attack and has a very limited duration means its pretty much useless against mobs of AI enemies. Its meant to get the jump on human players and to jam their radar. Personally, it doesn't need to be in campaign at all.
They need to seriously make a halo soundtrack collection with new maps for reach with new armour and such and no remixs just all th old classics from Combat evolved to reach and then have 2 bonus disks 1 with the new maps to download and the other one having bonus remixs and stuff. Anyway i think halo has one of the best selection of music besides starwars just real classic stuff

Why would you pick that series up with the second book?? Read Glasslands first, it gives all the characters their proper introductions. The Kilo-Five trilogy is amazingly written. I know it doesn't have too many all-out war scenes, but that's because the war is over.

What I never got about halo was the lack of silencers...I mean come on, you gotta have something! Probably not even a silencer, just some futuristic thing, maybe a covenant sniper rilfe that doesn't blow your freakin arm off every time you shoot or melt half your body when it "reloads."
It does have the option for stealth, but in many areas it is impossible not due to the last of a mechanic, but because the mechanic was designed to not be very useful in areas with a lot of bad guys. Which is, most of the game...Yeah...

Even though ODST's are tougher in game. I swear an ODST in H3 can take two accidental splash tank shots, but those IV's can't even take one....
The only in-game spartan, there were some more like in the ending there were actually 3 Spartan-II's present (mentioned in one of the novels)

In The Fall of Reach one Spartan gets his arm blown off by a Hunter and keeps fighting. I'd call that taking one hell of beating!

100% sure hes a II, the III had about 300 and they all got wiped over 2 missions, and they all had cloaks and other neat gizmos.

Nope. It can be used for combat support roles aswell, It already has a Chaingun and Missile Pods that come equipped with it.
