No
How long have they been sponsoring people for?
You could do democratic hungary as no one has done it
How about no?
@Amateur Productions you can
I really appreciate the fact you don’t cut out the mistakes you do and you talk about it. It helps me to learn - and feels less shity when i do some. Great video, thank you Taureor!
This comment honestly made me feel happy due to it being soo sincere lol.
exactly, I hate it when someone cut themselves restarting a campaign and just say "I messed up lol"
I prefer Ahistorical runs because it really tests how you can adapt to certain situations (unless if it's unwinnable ones but that's the fun I find in it, might be a masochist).
Sometimes it's fun but other times everyone goes democratic and ruins everything
I used to prefer non historical but then I realised I was getting wrecked every time as Russia and Britain so I experimented by turning on historical.
As soon as I did that I won ww2 as Russia, and formed the imperial federation and EU as the uk.
I prefer tweaking it in a way to create scenarios like both France and Britain going communist like in KR.
@@general8191 or communist, this happens nearly all the time where the commies are way too strong
I used to love Ahistorical, but I've learnt to loathe it now. You end up getting random wars all over the place which becomes a pain to win. The only times I really enjoy ahistorial now is when I play as Italy as I like to go to war with France before the end of 1936 and knock them out before they go with England.
That move to wait before annexing Czechoslovakia is honestly so clever!
"tschechische schweinhunt we demand die sudetenland. Ja ja we are uberpowerful, be scared!"
"Well... You can't have it"
"Warum?"
"We're A-H now"
"I still want it"
"Quite a pickle huh. You wanted to liberate the Germans from Czechs or something but now they are ruled over by an Austrian. Say hi to Eva"
yeah! but quite sure its an exploit lol
It is, but without the la resistance DLC shit is almost impossible. I actually regret not buying that DLC as I thought it was useless during summer sale
Otto von Habsburg was a great supporter of the "Paneuropa project" so in my opinion monarchist Austria-Hungary should be able to take the decision of forming the EU.
Even fascist UK can.
Fascist UK is ridiculous. Cores on all North America and most of Western Europe.
Makes sense
Honestly, I prefer any setting you use, maybe mix it up occasionally? Great content as always!
thank you for your input
“i prefer everything” = centrism
@@What-thaW “I prefer nothing” = radical centrism
It's really hard for me to fight Germans when they wanted to annex Sudetenland. Then I have to fight allies too to reclaim some lands.
you can also befriend them to prevent that, though it is tricky
Yea it is True also hi Taureor
Befriending them Is the best option
Join axis b4 sudetenland as feedback would say
I got lucky last time I played Hungary and Germany went monarchist.
Taureor I’m not sure if I ever said it but you got me into playing HOI, and more importantly your calming voice was a key part of my relaxation regimen when covid first hit and was spreading in my family’s city in 2020. I just want to say thank you for being great and continually producing such fun yet soothing content.
wow, the Habsburgs are everywhere and Hungary remade Austro-Hungary.
dammit you beat me to it
@@comrademoshi1028 well yea I've been doing it for the last couple of videos
@@JohannFreytagvonLoringhovenCS that's brilliant
In no step back
what's the joke guys I don't get it
Switching the unit templates after Finland fell makes me think that the Austro-Hungarian army formally discharged its soldiers and then the Soviets couldn’t sink their ships going out of the Baltic cause they were civilians
Obviously the communist tree is the best. You get a whole 8 focuses
EIGHT???? ME AND MY INDEPENDENT DEMOCRATIC NEW ZEALAND WITH 2 FOCUSES ARE JEALOUS
@@Prauwlet213 yeah but New Zealand is irrelevant
@@gabewj8690 alright, then. Now, do tell me how very relevant Hungary is, and how very strong was the communist party back then.
A very enjoyable video as usual Taureor, thank you for that ;)
I love both historical and ahistorical, or even full random can be fun as well. As an history fan I still have a small preference for historical though, because I find it cool to see how the changes player is making is changing the war that truly happened.
Something I thought a long time ago to offer you as a challenge proposal, is to play as communist France (Historical) but taking the path with Paris Accords faction creation, with the special spies missions (with an unique spy of this path) and trying to spread the Revolution. I love how it looks like a sort of new French Revolution. That could be cool to try to get all neighbour countries as puppets into the Paris Accords faction.
Anyway always nice to see one of your videos popping in my subsribe list, and can't wait for the next one !
I think that if It's a new challenge that was done already and not long ago, no historical would be fun to watch. But if it's a new country and one with specific idea for the game, historical is the way to go, to be able to replicate it
Both historical and ahistorical runs are fun, but honestly it could be fun to see some kaiserreich runs
This is my favorite thing to do in Hoi4. Glad you made a video on it :)
I personally prefer full random… it makes for a much more chaotic experience
I love this guy's voice,it's calming and oddly terrifying at the same time, because he both sounds like the guy you met at the cafe and an actual dictator
Tbh most of the most difficult achievements I have achieved have always been on non-historical. Also it makes it more fun since AI can be pretty funny at times.
One time I saw Turkey go communist but were attacked by USSR so they joined the Axis, or the time where I was playing as Ottoman Turkey on non-historical and the German Civil war went on until I intervened in 1943...
How on earth. The non-monarchist side usually gets curb stomped
It was non-historical, just dont question it for it is beyond our understanding.
I just lay in bed, listening to the calm sound of your voice, while you are just taking over the world.
He is the best form of tale tellers. Can sleep with his voice
Recently been binging otto von habsburg videos and reading up the dynasty. A Taureor hoi4 completes the content.
Anyone else seeing some random video corruption or is it just my end? Also, I personally prefer to select non historical and set countries to random when I play, but I think I would prefer historical mostly when watching your videos. However, I do think mixing in some non historical would not be a bad thing because I do think it would be fun seeing you adapt to a world going mad.
Edit: I think you could have used the spies to get a nonaggression pact with Germany before eating Czechoslovakia and it would have prevented them declaring, but your method was delightfully devilish Seymour.
if you see corruption, please give me the timestamps for that and I'll look into it
@@Taureor I saw the tiniest amount at 6:37 to like 6:42 but I'll keep going to see if I can find the one I remember.
9:04 as well.
I dare you to take all islands in the Caribbean as Cuba
I think historical would be easier for you to make these guides. Ive had some super weird games on random before. Just the weirdest alliances fighting in europe.
I personally think it´s a bit sad how unimportant the members of Austria-Hungary are today
As a hungarian living in Poland all I needed for today to watch this! Thanks and Wesołego Alleluja! :D
Little cameo from the Clownfront. Great succes
Great video as always
I like both but I think mixing it up and putting it to random and non historical AI is a nice change of pace. It adds a nice spice to the video and adds some funny situations and it’s very interesting to see how you would try to adapt to a weird situation. But all in all I think it’ll be entertaining no matter what you do :)!
I enjoy historical ai quite a bit but it’s also always fun to watch the world fall into chaos whenever you play a nation to create alt history, just sort of adds to the flavor.
I have mixed opinions about it. Historical sometimes gets boring, and non historical can sometimes ruin your play through entirely.
Taureor solving the Crimea issue as it rightfully belongs to a dead empire.
>Austro-Hungary creating Ukraine
Such a great level of historical accuracy.
Nice video bro! This part of the video made my day 2:41 🤣
I felt asleep 2 times while watching this video, no cap your voice is straight up a sleeping pill
My final exam(i hope i'm ready) is tomorrow, and I'm watching your new video. Thank you for the opportunity to relax and get distracted!
good luck on the exam

@@stresseddictator1849somehow but passed. Thank you!
question: i keep trying to defend france from germany until 1945 for the achievement, but i keep failing. Do you have any recommendations for fighting against germany and italy in that scenerio?
Just use 20 withs nfantry and extend the majont and just chill till 1948
Start the war in 39.
Extend the maginot line and definitely build up forts. There's a few tiles in N. France that can be attacked from 3 directions so definitely strengthen those forts.
The alpine front is insanely easy due to the mountains and garbage Italian divisions. Build the alpine line and maybe add a few more fort levels.
I usually defend until uncle Sam comes in or I get enough troops+manpower to start naval invading Italy. Don't expect the USSR to help as Germany won't attack them since you as France still exist.
Please do more random focuses. It really makes the game more interesting and adds that unexpected to the game
A possible tip
As soon as u hit ur desired intel level (so for example 100%) put 1 agent to quiet intel network in that place and after u can use ur other agents for other things like colab governments. Agents on a quiet intel network dont get caught and they retain the intel level at the same amount.
You should do more non-historical games they tend to be more interesting
i want someone to mod the habsburgs into the default focus tree according to the april fools devlog
Taureor, do them all, historical, non-historical and random. It will add variety to your playthroughs. One thing I'd advise, though, if you'll go for non-historical, non-random, there should be some theme to it, as if creating scenarios.
I love your vid, i liked your second Austria hungry vid
I really enjoy historical and ahistorical focuses for your videos. I think it's contextual, sometimes it's cool to watch Yugoslavia stand alone against the Reich, other times it's entertaining to watch Austria-Hungary cut a path through an alternate history.
After study to late, you want to watch something to relaks, thx Taureor, dzieki mordo
1:36 no no, i completely agree with that sentiment :D
As long as Germany is doing the Sudetenland focus, no matter if it's on day 11 or day 69, Czechoslovakia will accept being annexed. Just gotta wait for that 10 day progress save to end.
Full on random can be very entertaining. But your historical focuses gameplay is also extremely fun.
Wish you could play some total conversion mods like Kaiserreich or Old World Blues. But then again, this content is fine as it helps new players learn.
The reason your garrison army attacked in Finland was probably because the Soviets controlled a port in one of the states you told them to garrison. I usually use fallback lines over the ports if I am in a similar situation.
1:36: “the coolest thing about her is the abs,I mean the fact you can get her for free” 😂
I would like to see you try to do some videos with full random focuses, if only to see how you adapt to not knowing what other countries plan to do.
I absolutely love this man. While mosy of the hoi4 community are single virgins, Taureor played hoi4 with his baby son in his hand.
Divisions with Garrison order attack any enemy division in the same region they're assigned to.
No matter what kind of garrsion they are, they go and defend the whole region, even if just assigned to ports.
The better solution would be a fallback line on the ports or strategic places.
Coming to a HOI4 loading screen near you soon:
"We're going to make a lot of tiny Hungarian kittens." - Taureor
imo making everything random makes every new run interesting and unique
35:24 If you build up the Intel network and then quiet it, your spies will be much less likely to be captured
a tip for anyone who doesnt have the la resistance dlc:
if you want to get CZ without germany demanding sudetenland, keep in mind to trigger your focus tree when the MEMEL EVENT shows up, because right after that is the Munich conference, after finishing, wait another 11 days before accepting CZ to your empire
how do you know if Germany demands Memel is triggered? check germany focus tree, it usually triggers when germany reaches 725k manpower
edit: this is assuming ofcourse that you stopped doing your focus tree when you reach 1939, when you do, all you have to do is monitor germany's population and focus tree (specifically demand sudetenland ofc)
Question: why can't I see german focuses, despite of having 3 spies and several upgrades of the agency?
Dear Taureor, what would you think about playing other peoples scenarios for content? What I mean is that someone will play their own campaign for as much as they want and then they send it to you, to conquer the world or something. I think that it would make great content and I would defnitetly watch it. Have a great day!
As an Austrian, I absolutly love this video! Thanks
I have been trying the world abaze mod and it is much more difficult because it removes exploit’s. Playing the base game is relaxing for me now. You could try that mod or another one. It makes the game fresh and frustrating at the same time.
Finland became dunkirk in a matter of months. I like ur vids
fun fact: there's another way you can get Chzechoslovakia without Germany, that's doing it while world tension is above 20, if the world tension is still not above 20 but close, you can easily cause it by justifying on some random
however both wold tension above 20 and Germany focusing "demand Sudetenland will always make the Czech AI to accept
I enjoy a bit of both, but prefer historical focuses because the predictability lets you pull off some really cool stuff with smaller nations.
im watching for the beautiful voice, so really drop a video playing as an ocean tile and im watching
Something that could be kinda cool is using the change ai focuses thing and trying the reform the central powers. I have tried to do this before and it is pretty fun.
Germany be like: Have you seen my chat?
AUS-HAB: what chat?
Germany: HEYY! It says read in 11/16/38
Nice, a new Taureor
Hey man, did you ever considered a full playthrough some time?
I've wanted to see how to win at some point in my life
historical as it makes it easier to learn from you. Although for your off the wall runs I thin ahistorical would be good
Playing on non-historical can lead to some pretty interesting scenarios. But tbh any setting you play is interesting
I have not been able to recreate the Sudetenland exploit. I tried several times and every time I took Czechoslovakia the Germans demanded Sudetenland anyway.
Another run I made a non aggression pact with the Germans to stop them declaring war over Sudetenland. Then I attacked Yugoslavia and Romania joined first that war and then joined the axis and Germany invaded anyway.
Has this exploit been patched? Any suggestions?
Also - A hint I had in the past - You use the focus to go non-aligned, but you have the fascist demagogue. It allows you to join the axis. So when Germany booted you for saying no to sudetenland you can rejoin avoiding war. Though, I THINK that got changed in a no step back update where you wont get booted anymore. But my point stands. You can effectively cut out the risk of sudetenland. and join in on the axis for all your other conquoring.
I think taking Austria by force is more meta, since it lets you change conscription laws and go to war economy in 1936, which is amazing
I did a play through recently formed Franco-Spain and had an alliance with German empire and Austria-Hungary. Was pretty good
I’ve been trying to do a run like this all day but Germany keeps declaring war on the USSR and throwing the world into turmoil
YES YES NEW VIDEO
Wow, I just did a Miklos Horthy and the Habsburg Prince run four days ago, haven't watched your video yet, here's how mine went:
1. Get Austria and Czechoslovakia diplomatically. I read that you waited because your Germany went historical, mine didn't.
2. Found the Central Powers with Kaiserist Germany. (funny sidenote: it declared war on the Netherlands, peaced out instantly, did the Wilhelm III compromise, but kept von Mackensen until I invaded the Netherlands when it joined the allies) (funny sidenote 2: Germany was capable of taking faction leadership for a couple of years but just didn't.)
3. Italy goes to war with the Allies by manually justifying on Yugoslavia.
4. I go to war with the Allies over Transylvania, invite Italy to my faction.
5. I steamroll the Balkans and Germany steamrolls France because they weren't manning the Maginot.
6. Germany establishes Bourbon France in the south.
7. Kick Italy out and steamroll it for the Italian states.
8. Vichy France pops out in Corsica.
9. Get bored in 1940 and invade the Soviet Union because it had a civil war and also was at war with Manchuria, that was easy but a bit of a pain because it was allied to China.
10. Puppet Russia and China.
11. Australia and the USA created a faction and entered a war with me because Spain was my ally and it attacked Latin American nations.
12. Stalemate over the Channel until 1949, when a successful naval bombing blockade finally gets me naval superiority.
13. Naval invade the UK. They weren't even covering one of the ports I invaded on and barely had any divisions on the islands, which I guess means that blockade actually worked. Take the British states.
14. Kick out Germany and steamroll it for the German and French states.
I prefer non historical personally, it really freshens the videos up
I love historical for guides but non historical for just making fun games
Mix up the settings every once in a while, you've been playing on historical for so long it'd be really refreshing
I come home, I see new Taureor video, i immediately press like.
Cześć Taureor, zrobiłbyś taki poradnik po polsku? Po angielski rozumiem tak pół na pół. Nie rozumiem dokonca o co chodzi z dywizjami width 2.
I have too Problem Witz the divisons i dont know how i can make IT be stronger
I like historical the most, but a true random game every now and then wont kill me and might actually be fun ;)
You make the best videos to fall asleep to (and also be awake for lol)
I personally prefer historical focuses, keep up the awesome content!
Random's fun but unchecked historical is IMO most fun
I don't believe there is one definitive mode you should play on, either being always historical or always random or always default. I think varying between the three can keep things fresh.
I think either historical or full-random are the two ways to go (so not regular ahistorical). I enjoy watching you navigate politically to put yourself in the best position possible for the times, but there's only so many ways you can alter history before it starts to get same-y. Full-random would make this more diverse and possibly more interesting but also a lot harder and maybe not really as involved since it would be so hard to predict?
The short answer is: do whatever you'd enjoy the most.
can someone explain why he switches his troops to the tiny kitten ones and then back to the normals, or why he even makes the tiny kitten template?
The AI measures your strength based off how many divisions you have, not the strength of the divisions. So to intimidate countries you make the 2 width divisions which take only a little manpower and 100 guns, and those are just as intimidating a 40 width division.
Hey Taureor, I love watching your hoi4 videos and have learned a lot from you. Do you have any tips on reforming the Macedonian Empire in NSB?
You should tag yourself as ASMR mate. So many tingles 😁
When he said abs then said I mean🤣🤣this I why I love your Chanel bro
i personally thing that random focuses are much better as theyre unexpected and can bring much more flavour to a game since you dont really know what the AI will be doing and even if you know the focus trees some stuff that doesnt make any sense somehow still manages to happen lmao
Hi, is there a way to take Germany, the uk, Italy, and France out as Austria Hungary before 1941?
For spies in soviet Union you need local training centers and get Soviets spies, its the only way to stop them getting caught straight away
I prefer non-historical because it gets less repetitive. It's kinda annoying seeing things like South America ALWAYS ending the game with no changes whatsoever.
Hi! base game+no step back DLC? do you need other DLC? from Hungary. Good video :D
when taureor took the sponsership he be like i love money and abs
