I like how a recurring theme of this video is "my borders will look better" to justify decisions that make the borders look absolutely terrible in the case of both Greece and Romania.

Romania is somewhat fine being included in the Slavic union ( i say this as a Romanian) although Greece is kind of questionable lmao
I don't know if it has been brought up already, but there is an easier way to "truckify" your supply network, you can tell whole armies (and even army groups) to override the local supply through a little button right below the stats/medals of the commander. It is set to horses by default, but if you change it to trucks the game automatically uses trucks to supply that army

No Step Back is a really good DLC
Mostly. I don't like how it overwrites previous DLC for Poland instead of making a patch for it and including something else other then Poland in it's place, for example shared focus tree for soviet republics akin to warlord/chinese investment one.
Now I have inactive polish DLC that is overwritten by No Step Back. Can I get the money back?

I’ve done some modding and from what I can tell bringing troops to their border does not impact whether or not the AI accepts. Of course, you may as well because if they say no you don’t have to move them there anyway.

Are you sure? Specifically when attempting to annex Slovakia doing this run, I am refused unless I have my troops on their border. The ensuing war to annex them spikes world tension and brings England into the mix.
I don't know if this has already been mentioned to you Taureor, but in the bottom right corner of your General's and Field Marshal's, the second icon (a horse) is your supply management. You can click the horse to change it to motorized or super motorized and it will automatically change the supply hubs transportation requirement, in the locations your armies are at, as needed. This can save you on trucks and micromanagement.
By the way, thank you for your content and work.

No Step Back turned out to be pretty interesting for me. I started a Turkey game. Germany started civil war and win. then went democratic still leading axis. soviet union had a civil war and its still ongoing. the uk invaded the netherlands, iraq and iran. communist china joined japanese faction declared war on czechoslovakia. usa and france joined the czech faction. incredible things happened. i didnt even try to expand since it was already fun. i just watch the world burn.

One thing I did not expect from the dlc is the new nations in Russia able to be released, the fact that they gave them the ability to form new nations depending on their location is just great, adds a little extra content in case you run out of things to do.
Tbh, thats not new. Almost all of those nations actually existed in the files for years, you just couldn’t make them because the Soviets had it all cored, and you couldn’t liberate them because they didn’t actually have any cores

Perhaps, but in that scenario, Poland would probably also ally with Romania, Czechoslovakia, and perhaps even Germany (they did try to befriend Poland before until they saw it didn't work and just went straight to annexation). Also, during ww2, the USSR allowed some nationalistic soldiers to wave the imperial russian flag for extra motivation, a motivation which they would lose in an OFFENSIVE war specifically to get rid of the last Romanov.
I give them exactly a 0% chance to win that war, they'd probably not even reach Warsaw

Not necessarily, they were pretty committed to discrediting her as a fake and as research showed this year, USSR was correct. Attacking would justify her claim. I'd imagine it would be sometime gory, like digging up her 20 year old corpse, and putting it on display.

i already didn't understand hoi4 and i understand even less of it now. as a minor nation i can hold out well enough and sometimes even take over some other countries if i don't join a faction, but that's about it.
If you can't undersand extremly streamlined HOI4 then HOI3 would kill you.

While not a TH-camr, me and my friend actually found Anastasia last night by complete accident. Was playing Multi-player with my friend who got the DLC and he kept going back and forth over which type of monarchist Poland he wanted to be, and after cycling too many times he accidentally found Anastasia. It was kinda cool

I have the same problem with Yougoslavia... currently on my 4th attempts.
1st attempt they refused with 900k troops, fought them then annexed them. The run died when I did a mistake getting all the possible allies in (stupid events I needed to do before the focus). Going solo against the Soviet wasnt pretty.
Second they refused with a little over 1mil troops but they might have been garantied by france but during my hesitation the british garanteed them lol.
3rd attempts refused with a solid 1.2m fully equiped troops (thanks to land leases), I was ready tho slowed down time and attacked them on the hour they refused, fought them and annexed them, on this one my mistake was to puppet the greck on an island then Italy F me over during the Russian war.
4th attemps im at the Yougoslavian doors with 1.2 mil man fully or 99% fully equip mans will they accept? Somehow 3 in 3 they refused so Im preping that they dont accepts. My only diffrence with the current strat is I rushed the other research slot, I got both service by requirement and war economies, I also got lots and lots of land leases during the romanian war. Planning on pumping lots of troops to continue the landlease until the greek falls and get fully annex that should give me reserves by 1939 which should be the end of my Yougo and greek war.
Also Im french and makes lots of mistakes (spelling as well), but I dont surrender ;)

Regarding supply system: Supply is carried from your capital to supply hubs via trains and distributed from said supply hubs with cavalry/trucks/lots of trucks based on your selection. The difference is trucks move faster and cover more area so your supply can reach more provinces and reach there faster. Some areas might still lack supply since there are too many troops there, you can try to overlap that area with multiple supply hubs. And rather than clicking each supply hub to select its motorization choice you can choose your field marshall's preference and it automatically changes the supply hubs his troops use to that preference. And supply hubs actually have another button on them that denies your allies to give supply so that they wont drain your troops' supply and cause attrition.

It's more than a bit strange that the Soviets can demand Besserabia while already at war with the owner of said territory.
Like, that should just bypass the whole "Ultimatum" thing considering that both countries are already far past the point of starting a war.
My first game of NSB was as Poland going against Russia and they took Bess from Romania and invaded me through it without having to do an actual naval invasion so I got no warning.
Lesson learned, for sure.

u have a button to automaticly use motorized supply, when u select an army on the division menu u have it, its directly over split button, also when u r on strategiic map u can see hubs, if u click on it and the middle button of three that pop up it will automaticly construct an upgrade for 1 level of every railway from capital to that hub to construct

i was playing around with 24 width 9 inf , 2 motorized artillery. allows for 3 in every terrain and 4 in urban. nice soft attack and breakthrough for mostly inf. and can just change out the motorized artillery to motorized anti-air or anti-tank as needed without losing much xp

Wait. Why "Motorized" artillery (The Artillery under the Motorized divisions) vs just the Artillery in the Infantry divisions? Other than making traversing some terrain worse, I can't see a benefit?
@@ALTruckerDad you could. I was just playing around with mobile warfare for the few tank divs i could get. Motorized gets a little better bonuses over plain artillery.

As I know, military power is calculated through manpower on the field. Military power, having your troops on the target country's border, the target counties opinion about you, and some special effects are important to "convince" a country.

In the new DLC there is a button on generals and field marshalls near its profile picture (it is small, you can look it up to see where it is) where you can click to make supply hubs around that army or armies switch to motorized or double motorized which makes supply very easy to manage.
Giving the Germans Danzig is not a safe strategy.
Poznan and Katowice are still claimed territory after the focus, and they will still justify for that territory.

Taureor, only use truck supply on the supply areas where you have supply problems. Also you can toggle off ally supply usage in your lands. (Small hint, Transport planes are really good now)

reaching stalingrad is a pain, its between rivers and that is a HUGE disadvantage. i had to do all sorts of manoeuvres to encircle the city and take it from the east.
