Homer was such a carrying father in the earlier seasons he would do anything to make his family happy like the one time he went and bought Lisa a new saxophone instead of getting an AC he even had it customized to say that he'll always love D'oh and the other time he sold his blimp ticket to let Lisa know how special she was and how much she means to him
One thing that I notice with a lot of these is that they give an exact time for things (ie. "Bart stared at the camera for 50 seconds"). As people don't usually time things exact, especially in scenarios like this, this can take people out of the story. A good fix for this is to add some uncertainty to the sentence. For example, instead of, "Bart stared at the camera for 50 seconds," you can change it to "Bart stared at the camera for what felt like 50 seconds" or the like. I just felt like adding my thoughts into the mix
I had an old Simpsons comic and Junk Mail Guy actually responded to a question about Dead Bart. I don't remember the exact question but I think it was something like "Is Dead Bart a real episode?" and he responded with "No, it isn't. Or is it.?" Funny joke ngl.
