@@Valina_Tsikala Exactly. Most of them are Syriac Christians from Lebanon and other Levantine countries. We are exposed to western melodies singing in our church choirs. You should visit a Syriac Orthodox or Maronite Church in the States. Our services are trilingual in English, Syriac/Greek/Coptic, and Arabic.
Look at the bigger picture. This is not the place for perfection it is the idea of bringing about , in the US, the beauty of our Arabic music and culture. Michael, you are doing great and keep up the beautiful work. The quality of your music you and your orchestra produce is so great. Every time I watch your videos I tell myself this level of music you cannot even find in the Arab world.

just a note for the ones whom not familiar with the Arabic culture : when the leader screams "ALLAH" although it translates literally to "God" but it means great job . it's a great compliment from the leader , and if you like the work of this orchestra you'r going to hear it a lot

It's not "good job" , we Arab say "Allah" when we witness something fascinating, it's like "amazing/awesome" as you used to say "Jesus" when something scare you!
I believe saying (Allah) in this context is an abbreviation or a short form of saying (Allah protect you), (I hope that Allah protect your voice) or May Allah protect your voice because you enchanted me with your singing

I was born in UK but I am Egyptian, I go every year and speak Arabic and have only started embracing the culture and with it music at the age of 21. Wallahy I am so proud when I watch videos like this :)

They are Arab, as their names are in Arabic, but they are probably the children of immigrants and didn't grow up speaking Arabic fluently

الأغنية للموسيقار العبقري سيد درويش و قد ألفها قبل حوالي مئة سنة في مصر، و قد ابدعت في غنائها لاحقا السيدة فيروز ، ولأن الغناء باللغة العربية ليس سهلا على الشباب الاميركان من أصول عربية، فقد تم التركيز على اول كوبليه فقط.

beauty and appreciation of what is beautiful means peace.... no wonder in the Quran It says: "God is beautiful & loves beauty". when you are busy with beauty no time for conflict . nger or wars.
Good comment, but this verse in quotation marks is not in the Quran, it is a saying by Mohammad PBUH.
Look it up.
Meanwhile many of those singers are Christians who have been using Arabic in our liturgies along with the primary language- Syriac/Greek/Coptic depending on the Church. We are used to singing in various melodies in our Churches being part of choir. We have learnt to use semitic melodies very beautifully in our sung liturgy. If you visit a Syriac Orthodox or Maronite Church you will feel it for real.

It is truly amazing. such beautiful found all around, I just wanted to ask a question, I noticed that some of the singers had an accent when speaking Arabic, I just like to know if they are all Arab or if some of them are non-native speakers?
some are probably non native or they've been speaking some other language for so long that they developed an accent
They are all Arab-Americans. Look at their names, written above. They are all Arab names, but many immigrants do not speak their parents' language much. English would be their first language, Arabic their second.
No, native speakers don’t have this accent. I am a native speaker but my children are not, I don’t have this accent but my kids have it.

Regional dialects play a significant role in every language. Let's not get too picky, here. The music, direction, and intention of the concert is wonderful.

لحد يتعّب نفسه ويكتب بالكومنتس انهم يرفعون حفلة معيّنه .. ماراح يرفعونها ولا أحد راح يرد عليك أو يعطيك وجه .. راسلت حساب الفرقة بتويتر قبل سنة وراسلت حساب المايسترو ميشيل ابراهيم بتويتر أكثر من مره وطلبت منهم لكن محد يرد أو يتفاعل .. للأسف إن الفرقة هي فقط للجمهور الذين يحضرون حفلاتهم .. وباقي الجمهور اللي مايقدر يحضر الحفلات مايهم الفرقة ..
اكيد مارح ينزلونها لانه اللي يروحون ويدفعون حتى يدخلوها هم اللي يشوفون الحفل كامل ليش تبي منهم ينزلوونها كلها هنا؟ مع انه من ناحية مايردون ابد غلط لكن من حقهم ماينزلون الحفلات كامله
