    Have owned the bike for 2 months here in Australia. Just clocked over 2000k without a hitch and about to take it around my state for 2 weeks. For some reason the quick shift doesn't like going into second when the bike is brand new, so up shifting from 1st to 2nd I use the clutch. Down shifting is like butter. I've done a bit of everything on this bike, on and off road and am yet to find a fault with it. For the price here in Aus ($14k AUD) it's $10k cheaper than its KTM equivalent. It runs rich at low revs (I think this is due to EU emissions conformity) but this engine comes alive at 7000 revs.

      Hey mate I sent you a msg on fb. I’ve been checking them out and nearly put a deposit on one a month or so ago but held off because I was worried. What if it’s a lemon.
      But your comment has given me some more interest. Motor sounds great in this review. Do you know if any other parts are interchangeable from the Ktm at all? Pipe or ? Where did you buy from? I’m in Gippsland.

    I really like the full features package these chinese bikes have.
    Features the bike has(based on website):
    - up and down quickshifter
    - keyless go
    - cornering abs
    - cruise control
    - manually adjustable windshield
    - tyre pressure monitoring( as seen in the video)
    - slipper clutch
    - riding modes
    - usb connection
    - bluetooth with on screen navigation
    - full led
    and more

    I saw this bike at the NEC show last year and it certainly looks well thought out and well put together with great attention to detail. It really needs the bigger engine for more low down torque especially with what is a pretty heavy bike. I’d wonder about residuals. Whilst cheaper to buy than many will it cost more over time in terms of depreciation. Lack of a dealer network is a major issue for many.

    I have seen in other reviews also that when the rider gets to second gear, the screen shows false neutral, is that correct in your case too right?

    The problem with this bike is the price. The 800 Mt sport is 11000 in Belgium, and the 800mt touring (which is this bike with the spoked wheels) is 12.600. that is without the luggage. in that price range ..why not spend an extra 1000 and go for something with a large dealer brand. Granted, the completeness of the package for the machine is tempting, but I just couldn't pump in 13k for a Chinese bike without a proven reliable dealer network around me.

      It's 10% lower in most of Europe. Belgium might have higher taxes implemented on vehicles.

    • @MrFerisko
      @MrFerisko 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean, you are not wrong. But did you also check the equipment list? For the price the 800MT touring comes with everything except the luggage. A lot of those things cost extra at almost any other brand: heated grips, heated seat, crash bars, engine bottom cover, auxiliary lights, Up & down quick shifter, cruise control...

    • @henrietn
      @henrietn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MrFerisko true. Equipment wise you are absolutely correct. It is fully fledged out. But still, it is a fair amount of money though. Would like to see one after some miles on the clock and a good review.

    • @Alambiketeletaller
      @Alambiketeletaller 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A large dealer brand? KTM engine (not a copy), ABS+turn ABS by BOSCH, brakes by JJUAN (BREMBO), dump by KAYABA. Ok, I give you I don't know the brand for the sits and grip. Predjuices are a really expensive luxus! It's not about 1000€. Such an equipment is not available under 16-17k in the brand's you are thinking about

    • @henrietn
      @henrietn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Alambiketeletaller Yea, I know it's a KTM engine. I admit, it is indeed prejudice. I know 4 guys is my region who have bought a Vogue / Cfmoto / Bullit brand and they all sold it after a couple of months. (things breaking / paint flaking off, and heavy discussions with the local dealers etc..) I am not saying the parts themselves are not good, or that other brands won't have issues... but in the end, it's the total bike/package you buy.. For me, throwing 12k to a bike I don't have a good feeling about (prejudice), or is not cemented as such in the bike world is a heavy decision. Like I said in my initial post, I like the completeness of the package. But in the end, resale value based on equipment extra's is not worth much really. And these bikes depreciate like a used sandwich. I might for it as a secondhand deal though.

    The electric heated seats and grips are great. I just assembled one for dealership.
    The brake rotors need machining oils wiped off then have another go at the brakes.

    Great review as always! You demonstrate the troubles with all this modern screen technology - you were distracted trying to find the control to get out of sport mode, and didn't see the guy overtaking you. On the road, this could be disastrous! Can't help feeling you'd enjoy the track more on a Tmax!!!

    I have to admit. Never thought much about Chinese products. But I cannot lie. This bike looks good. I am wondering how the bike will perform on a durability test also offroad and with say 50 or 60.000 km on the clock. I will wait a little while untill they eliminate the gremlins almost every new machine will have (I am a former BMW rider). If there are any with this one. But first impression is positive. Give the brand a chance.

    I have seen many of your reviews and loved them all. However as I am a 800mt owner I was a little disappointed with this review.
    If you had spent 10 minutes learning the controls and seen all the features that comes with this bike. It would have been much better for your viewers.
    This is the 890 motor but only putting out 790cc.
