    UPDATE. Got my CLX and got about 50 miles on it before the snow came LOL. I love it. It's a great bike thus far. Long term reviews seem to be good so I'm looking forward to putting some serious miles on it come spring. I thing the Harley is gonna spend more time in the garage next season 😶

    It's good to see someone producing an exhaust system that fits in with the asthetics of their machine, yep agree another couple of litres go go juice would have been nice and a tail tidy, great looking machine.

    Hi all, I live in Australia and only yesterday the 26.10.21 I went to my local CFMOTO dealership ( some 60klms away ) to have a look at one. They only had the CL-X Sport model which was being prepared for the Australian Motorcycle Magazines to test ride and review, AMCN ( Australian Motor Cycle News ) and the like. The dealership had a Heritage model but unfortunately it was being prepared for the showroom, as it only arrived from China last Saturday
    After reviewing the Sport model for some time the build quality is actually quite good and the owner of the dealership started the bike up for a minute or two and went through the clock display and all the functions, I sat on the bike and the seat height and the ergonomics all seem to be well placed, except the riding position on the Sport model is just not for me
    I am actually waiting of the CL-X 700 Adventure model to arrive in Australia ( should be mid December this year or early January 2022, according the the dealership ) when one arrives I have already booked in for a test ride with the dealership.
    Currently the price in Australia is $9500 AUD, which appears to include the on-road cost also, I am 65 years old and have been riding since 1971

      There really is no competition in this segment in Aus at present. Besides for the MT-07, I don't think there are any other non-LAMS on offer. If it had a 19" front wheel I don't think I could resist the temptation. Front 18" rubber choices may be a bit limited.

    Once again another humorous, informative review..think it's a great looking bike. Although I'm more into adventure type bike ( it's an age thing ) So really looking forward to CF Moto 800 MT being released into the UK. I notice one of the comments say " Chinese no thanks" if recall that's what me and my mates were saying about Japanese motorcycles 50+ years ago !!!

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Indeed. I've stopped responding to those kind of uneducated stereotypical comments.

      I just made the first down payment for the 800 MT, will have it late January and have been thinking the exact same thing. Chinese bikes (good quality ones) are what the japanese motorcycle invasion of the 70s was. 🤷

      I just picked one up a couple of weeks ago, it's in my opinion the nicest looking of the new retro bikes. The exhaust is wonderful in stock form and it's obvious that there was some real attention to both quality and the riding experience when the bike was designed and built. The only thing I don't like is how sensitive the ride-by-wire throttle is, especially in Sport mode, but other than that minor complaint the bike is fantastic. Many companies in China are producing world-class products these days, CFMOTO is one of them and has built a really great bike.

    I want one of these - very nice bike. Personally, I prefer the rear hugger for the number plate - I think it's much tidier than the spindly thing coming out from the seat just to get past the back of the rear wheel (compare this and the 300NK with the 650NK).

    Here we are a year later and I'm in love with it. My CLX is my "other" Bike next to my Electra Glide. It's a phenomenal bike for it's class and price range. I will never sell it and am keeping a closer eye on CFMoto as time passes. It's just truly a great bike. You can have your this and that choices but as a whole you can't beat it. And no I don't work for anyone! at all!. I'm disabled LOL.

    First of all thanks for sharing this video which has great expression details.
    I bought same colour at the end of July and my impression is incresing day by day when i drive. Everbody has an false chinese impact for CF moto but i recommend to everyone to make a test drive after visual check. If you see this bike in real and if u have a test ride chance, you will be fall in love with this bike too.

    Basicly the engine is a big bore version of Kawasaki 650... so i guess durability and parts availability wouldn't be an issue. For me the design is a bit similar with Husqvarna Svartpilen, which is makes sense cause as you said, it is designed by Kiska, and Husqvarna & CF Moto is owned by KTM. European designed bike with Japanese heart built in China sold at reasonable price... mmm i want one!

How is the price compared to the Royal Enfield Interceptor in the UK? One is modern, the other classic looking. Did you try the cruise control function? I didn’t see you do that?🤔 Otherwise, great seeing Cfmoto in the UK & hope they sell well there!👍

    I won't buy another bike without cruise control if I plan on going more than an hour. I live in the US and often am on the expressway for hours. It's great to be able to give my wrist a rest occasionally, and a simple throttle lock makes me go fast enough to risk a ticket when I'm on a downhill, and too slow on the uphill.

    Great review thanks. I still remain to be convinced on the quality and longevity of chinese bikes. Whilst working at a college we stripped down a chinese (make eludes me) and a yam ybr 125. Both had significant corrosion. However in the engine/gearbox/ brakes, the chinese bike was as soft as toffee. The yam was fit as a fiddle. There was 10 yrs between the bikes. The chinese bike was donated by a student as he had enough of it. This was 6yrs ago so maybe things have changed.

    Saw these last summer in a dealer here in Hong Kong, you certainly get a lot of bike for your money with CFMoto. There are a few neo-retro bikes which this 700 fits in with (such as the XSR you mentioned, and the new Z650rs), good to see CFMoto competing here, we need more to push this market in creative directions. Styling is a personal opinion, I have seen many people really like this 700’s style, I’m not a fan. I really like their touring bikes, 650GT and MT, and for me the NK series look better than their Japanese competition like the Z650 and MT07.

      Have a look at the 2nd hand price of cfmoto's, they are a bargain for the 2nd buyer but the person buying them new takes a massive hit on depreciation.

    The Benelli 752S seems sportier and it comes (here in Israel anyway) with 5 years warranty.

      Hello from Slovakia. CF Motos have a five years warranty or 40000 km in Slovakia and Czech republic. Standard warranty is 2 years and regional dealer gives another 3-year warranty.

    Nice review, but design is not from Kiska like other bikes from CFMoto. It is made by studio Modena 40 (Carles Solsona Marti). He make or maked desing also for MV Agusta bikes.

      @motorsforthemasses  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh right, they do state designed by Kiska on the bikes' page on CFmoto website, I will check.

    No one explained me why SUV's exhist; as no one explained me why bykes must have half seats... no mudguards and even no hooks for soft luggage. I can understand why central stands disapeared...but I don't like; lubbing a chain is boring and is a mess.

    Iv seen a couple of really good reviews on this bike brand now.i haven't seen one in the wild yet.but the only think I don't like is the name.it like it's trying to be a premium brand with a cheap Chinese name.and it just the name that doesn't give me confidence in the quality 🤔

      Get over it about the Chinese brand. It is only in your mind where a deeply set racial thing is still bothering you.

    • @motorsforthemasses
      @motorsforthemasses  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm, yes, but not necessarily for the power aspect. It is quicker but it looks so much better I feel and handles very well, a bit better than the NK

    • @robhall5622
      @robhall5622 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motorsforthemasses Thanks for this. Power doesn't really bother me, nice to have more but a 650 already has plenty. I've been without a bike for 4 years or so, having had a Versys 650 and a VFR400 before that, so something comfy and cheap with a bit of power is what i'm after, and so far the 650NK, the 700CL-X and the Benelli 502c are the main 3 i'm interested in.
