I appreciate how much you refer to Taubman. Maybe not all the Golandsky teachers do that as much as they should? These concepts are a revelation for someone who gave up the piano 40 years ago because of hand and especially wrist tension (and starting college). I'm back to the piano with some real guidance from the Taubman concepts. Thanks!

@D C Fantastic to hear that you resumed playing the piano after so many years. How are you getting on? Playing with much less tension I hope. 😊🎹🎶

wow! Such an amazing instructor you are. If I ever want a master pianist to teach me how to play the piano, it would definitely be you! Keep up the amazing teaching, my good man!

This video is excellent. A big criticism I had of the lectures in "Virtuosity in a Box" is that they did not sufficiently explain how to freely bring the thumb under the hand, so even when I was able to combine arm rotations with in-out motions, I still wasn't able to play smooth scales, because I thought that any motion of the thumb under the hand (really, the other fingers) was verboten. This video clarifies how to use the thumb appropriately when playing scales.

Enjoyed the video and recommend to my students. With the Ondine I've found it more successful to shape higher to the 5th note and then back down, having tried it both ways. Thanks for your clear demos!

Strange audio dropouts when the Ondine pattern is played at length

Unfortunately we cannot see what's going on from this angle. You made a real impression on me in the moonlight sonata video where i could see from above
