Yeah, those quality fish have been hard to come by this year. Yesterday and today, I got lucky enough to catch 2 nice cats around the 20-pound range. About 34 inches long.

Hey Justin, hope all is well. I was just wondering or suggesting maybe. If you could do like little shorts of different pieces of equipment, you use why you use it what it’s good for bad for. Like if you’re catfish and you use this size a hook for this reason and not this small or that big. Etc. etc. just to help people out who are just getting into it or in my case I’ve been out of it for so long. I don’t know what all is out there now other than a regular hook line and sinker or a bobber. And maybe some tips and tricks. thanks again for yet another great video! im not going to lie about it, but you have got me wanting to try out some fishing from a kayak especially since you came out with your weight loss plan! lmao. i am a bigger guy 6'4" 300 lbs (unfortunately) and i would not know where to begin with even getting a decent kayak with the lower budget that i would have on one. i really would like to have the pedal drive, im torn on if i should get one with the "fins" or prop underneath. which would you recommend? any additional advice for a big framed person like me would be extremely helpful... might just have to settle with a pool noodle and hope for the best! lmao. I would definitely recommend trying the fin style and propellor style pedal drives before buying one if possible. Which drive feels more comfortable comes down to personal preference. There are a lot of good deals to be had in the used market especially in the fall and winter months.
Whats up Justin? My wife made the suggestion that you should print the “essay” and grade it with a red pen for grammatical errors. Then maybe you could do a “roast” video of authors.
Here is the thing about the Walmart in my town that blows my mind. You have one cashier and 5 or 6 employees at the shelf check out area standing and watching to make sure there is no theft.
It's been an off fishing year. I definitely dont think you suck. For spring, my normal spot is loaded with blues this year we didnt catch a blue all spring all flatheads when i normally catch more flattys than blues in the fall. I'm so interested to see what happens this fall. And we still hadn't got a good blue bite going just a few dinks almost like there still nesting. Up here in the mountains. Who knows.
Hey my dad bought two brand new catfish poles lne was a spinning reel and the kther kne was a closed reel and yhe closed reel didnt do good at all so do you guys have any closed reel catfish pole suggestions?
My Dad use to not work with GA PACIFIC as forester. They had some pellet that would kill kudzu the only draw back it would sterilize the ground for 7 years. It would not even grow crab or Bahia grass.
@@KayakCatfish probably saw where his idiot boss spead a cup around the post on the equipment shed. Where the rain ran down hill it killed a strip a grass 50 foot wide for over a 100 yards .... they had to spread gravel on it bacause grass wouldn't grow on it.

I asked about stripers a couple videoes back so I went a scanned though the striper playlist and noticed if suspended I was cooler by the way you were dressed . Also a lot of the ones caught you had cast out from the kayak or cast out from the bank using the kayak as a rod holder.
Yeah I definitely used to catch more when I had baits on bottom. I also rarely fish the stretch of river where I used to get most of them anymore. That area gets pounded nowadays

That noodling stuff should be shut down. In my personal opinion, those fish perish they reach in and catch them by the gills not good. Then you have the possibility of getting a finger bitten off or hand depending on the size of the aligator snapping turtle.
I also don't understand you missing all those fish. Me and my cat over the 4 years we have been fishing you , we have never botched a hookup or lost one or even got snagged cat fishing. We have not even lost a jig or had our line get broke when ultralight fishing from my chase lounge chair. Got respect for the younger generation but you got to tighten up.😂😂😂😂😂

Have you fished any other lakes in NC besides Kerr Scott? Maybe Rodhiss Lake? I've caught 2 38 in flatheads out there. I fish there regularly
I fished Badin lake one time but there and Kerr are the only places in NC that I have fished.
