  • Ordered from The Home Depot on Thursday at my door on the following Monday. Due to delivery mixup it was brought on a semi without a lift gate so I had to watch it go back and return the next day on the correct truck.

    A fun project. I did my XT-1 LT-46 KOHLER 43 last month

    Nice! I got the same one almost 2 months ago and simply drove off the crate with no ramps. The mowing deck cleared it fine. I did notice your rear wheel hub caps missing. I did add a snow plow and it works great.

      Mine sure didn't come with any hub caps. I'm trying to look them up but I haven't found them yet.

    I ordered the all electric cub cadet last week. No gas, no oil, no belts
    Sure hope the delivery guy brings mine in the garage

    All those modifications and you haven't even started it up yet? That would cause a huge heap of problems if there was any serious issue with the mower.

      Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Coating. After a few coats it leaves a very even textured surface that looks very professional.

      I think I used a floor jack. It was a long time ago. It rolled off much easier than expected.

    Was your steering wheel loose when you first received it?

    • @Bendc1970A1
      @Bendc1970A1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it was fine. Some models come with steering wheel not attached. I hope you had no problem tightening it up.

    Painted the hood black to keep the sun from blinding you? Cause the CubCadet yellow, is known to reflect light? I have an XT-1, in yellow, and the hood don't "blind" you or relect light. But whatever. These are nice mowers. Best Ive seen out all the brands out there. I love mine.

      Forgot to mention my sensitive eyes. Probably doesn't make much difference but black and yellow looks so cool anyways. Like a damned bumble bee.

    Hi, I know it has been a while since this but I like this machine. May be I can find a used one. Can you please show the model and transmission number? Or, email it, thanks

    • @Bendc1970A1
      @Bendc1970A1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a close up at 1:40 it's a gt54 fab cub still sells this model. Transmission is k58 which is a step up from the k46 that is in 90% of other tractor style mowers.

      Looks like overkill with a 54 inch deck on that small yard. Nice tractor, nontheless.

    DO NOT UNDER ANY CONDITIONS BUY AN XT1 i own one. Very horible compression, rod nocking, surges all the time, and the weight is extreamly uneven. Buy a John Deere

    • @Bendc1970A1
      @Bendc1970A1  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cubs have either a cub cadet engine or Kohler engines. Most of the smaller Deeres have Briggs and Stratton engines. Kohler makes some cheap junk and they make good commercial engines and everything in between. So does B&S. However the John Deere mowers have that 30 second oil change system that is a huge rip off. costs $40 and only changes 1/3 the oil in the engine.

      @@ReadingAreaRailfan Cub has been a great mower for me. I have owned three of them, with no issues. Kohlers are the the best engines on the market, in my opinion.

      I've a 2013 model with 300 hours on it. I dont particularly like the mower,but the kohler engine has been perfect. I dont like the deck design and the way they only use the one hanger in the front to support it. It leaves the deck kinda floppy and bouncy. The seat is as hard as a Rock and mine has the hand operated blade engagement handle and the pto belt is always flying off because it's so loose. It's always been that way,its not just from age

      Lmfao only a John Deer lover would bash a Cub sorry to tell you the Kohler engine in these are made in America and are far superior to any of the cheap Chinese engines John Deer uses not to mention the Cub has a fabricated deck with a lifetime warranty not a stamped junk deck something that would put John Deer out of business if they tried to do because their over priced Chinese garbage breaks constantly.
